I feel like there are enough decent jarred marinara sauces out there now, so where you would REALLY taste the difference is with the *fresh* homemade pasta (no comparison) and the béchamel sauce. 👌
I never really was that much of a lasagna guy, but since I cooked one myself a few months ago it’s one of my favourite things ever! Recipe is pretty much the same as yours

I’ve been watching this young chef since the start of her social media appearance. As someone who’s worked in the kitchen all my life, it’s nice to watch videos of the newer generation getting into cooking as well as perfect it
I enjoy watching her cook. Professional training meets her own spin. Most families have their own resapies handed down from Grandmother to Mother. My Mom was self taught and all seven of her children are great cooks. Thanks Mom!
I wanna see her in Masterchef , she is so resourceful and one of the only people in youtube who actually take time to explain the recipe instead of forcing people to subscribe .❤
I literally just made this exact thing for Thanksgiving! Turned out great! I double the batch of ragu and I made bechemel AND ricotta (w/mozz, herbs, & lemon rind). My family had never had lasagna with fresh pasta sheets before. It was a huge hit and I somehow had enough leftover parts to make a second lasagna for my freezer. Can't wait to have it on a busy weeknight this winter.
I looked up lasagna recipe thinking I would get some vids on the tampa side but this is the first thing I clicked on and you are going way too hard this is expert level stuff 😂
The chug of wine 4 the Chef had me laughing... reminds me of the Keith Lyode quote "I always cook with win & sometimes I even put some in the food" 😂😂😂
sorry @Andrewchristie2790, she did a great job. I think I also put the comment in also. and I watched the whole vid. :) someone also said it was a hex clad pot where whisks are apparently ok since it's a hybrid. Good discussion! @@blizzardjm
First time watcher here…I just subscribed to your Channel because you are the first one I see that puts carrots and celery in her bolognese. Now I know I an not alone…thank you!
The Ultimate Lasagna Recipe Ingredients: Ragù 1 small yellow onion, small dice 1 small carrot, small dice 2 stalks celery, small dice 2 cloves garlic, finely minced 1.5 lb ground meat (I used beef, pork and veal but really any combination or type of ground protein works here) 2 tbsp tomato paste 1/2 cup dry white wine (like chardonnay or sauvignon blanc) 28oz crushed tomatoes Salt and pepper, to taste Pasta 150 g all-purpose flour 25 g semola rimacinata flour (a finer form of semolina flour made for pasta) 100 g eggs (2 large eggs) 1 tsp salt Béchamel 3 tbsp butter 3 tbsp flour 4 cups whole milk Optional: 1/2 onion, 1 bay leaf, 2 cloves Pinch nutmeg salt & pepper, to taste Assembly 16 oz low moisture mozzarella (like Galbani..you don’t actually want the expensive fresh one here), FRESHLY GRATED on a wide box grater 1 cup parmigiano cheese, grated …better fresh but I won’t judge on this one. Fresh parsley, for garnish
I HATE celery with a vengeance 😂 so I replace it with tiny/finely chopped green pepper and it’s delicious 😋 Haven’t attempted homemade pasta yet, thats my next thing to learn!
After finding a good Bolognese Recipe and learning how to make Bechamel myself it reaaally stepped up my Lasagna Game its amazing but it takes a wholeass Day 😅
I love making lasagna but personally ricotta is the way to go for me! Béchamel is just too heavy on my stomach as good as it is haha. I also like making focaccia and a side salad paired with a roasted garlic vinaigrette to go with it 🥰
I’ve followed Marcella Hazan’s technique for this for years, and she recommends washing the starch off the noodles after blanching. It’s an extra step but she claims it makes the noodles less gummy. I’m curious to get your thoughts on that.
Am i the only person who sees these videos and just picture her when she was a kid on food Network schooling people on how to say Italian words properly?
This is nearly identical to how I make mine. I just do bechamel and pecorino on the top though instead of mozzarella, as I find that mozzarella makes it kind of greasy on top.
Initially when you said ragu sauce my mind went jared ragu brand from the store. I was like how is that homemade 🙄🙄🙄 but then you made it from scratch 😝🙃
This is an ambitious recipe. And it looks delicious.
I cheat and do an easy meat sauce and then do the bechemel 😂
Not really.. u just need a few hours. By the way the original lasagne should be green.
The easy way is just jar sauce, and Italian sausage w noodles. Basically assemble and layer w sauce e n cheese. Stull waaay better than bought

Great recipe. Great song.
The metal whisk on the teflon pan got me hhhhahaa
@andrewchristie2970 are you gatekeeping comments? The metal whisk in the Teflon also bothered me. Big faux pas.
You donut that’s a Gordon Ramsey Hexclad pot, they aren’t Teflon. Pretty sure she would know as a culinary student what she’s doing
@@Dianeediegoo it partly is teflon. flat-ish utensils may not scratch the teflon part (every black part in the metal hexagon) but a whisk might.

Omg this looks fucking amazing!!!! Sorry for the cursing but it looks great!!
Your voice is sooo soothing Ale 😊 But please, no metal utensils on a non-stick pan! 😅
Looks sooooooo good 🤤🤤🤤🤤
Wow now that is a Lasagna. A true Italian recipe. Girl you have some skills
bravo to you for making everything by hand
I like the drinking part. The cooking goes by so quickly and if it's not perfect, it doesn't matter
You're my hero. Pasta from scratch ❤
You did a great job
Beautifully done! Try using a potato masher on the ground meats it a serious time (and elbow) saver.
Looks Delicious but I don't like Wine in my food especially Lasagna, but making it from scratch is hard but I bet it tastes Good 😋😋😋
So true!!! From scratch! Nothing beats a homemade lasagna❤
Oh wow that looks amazing
The fancy egg drop looks cool, but dropping them in a bowl to check eggs for particles is better and sanitary.😊
I’ll probably never do this, but it looks amazing.
This is a beautiful Bolognese sauce ty chef
I love the voice❤
Amazing Cooking. You’re the bomb !!!!!
New fan🤘🤘ty for talking while cooking. No kitchen is quiet, ya gotta talk

You Betta Work !!!! 🙌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Can you do a vegi version?
Dod you make a roux for cheese sauce? I have no sound😊
Finally someone else who doesnt put either of the non edible cheeses (ricotta or cottage cheese) in a lasagna. Imo ricotta makes the dish gritty
I love making lasagna but personally ricotta is the way to go for me! Béchamel is just too heavy on my stomach as good as it is haha. I also like making focaccia and a side salad paired with a roasted garlic vinaigrette to go with it 🥰
This is perfection!
You givr off the ratatouille chef vibes❤
Personally, homemade and bought lasagna sheets don’t have a large impact on lasagna flavour, but i get the appeal
I agree
Recipe please 😍
youre amazing love everything
I know this is your version but may I ask why u use white wine instead of red???
Big agree on bechamel making it the superior lasagna. I won't have it any other way.
There is nothing better than a homemade lasagna on a rainy day 😋😋
Agree 100% looks great
😮😮😮😮Great
Your meals and recipes always look top tier/ 5 star Michelin looking deliciousness!!
I absolutely love a saucy piece of lasagna. Looks delicious. I agree bechamel is better.
too bad it's incomplete. Looks GREAT though!

Second this!
Nice Billy Joel song choice 😉
Bechamel is definately the way to go👌
Is this an #ad for Pomi?
Bechamel with ragu?? Seriously? Nah, no way
yes, bechamel and ragu for lasagna.
That pomi packaging is not recyclable, but your still amazing
Can you use metal utensils in a nonstick pot or pan? Are those no stick? I'm genuinely asking as I'm just beginning my cooking journey
I just love it…
From Italy i only can Say bravissima ❤️

Can you list the recipe below for us?
Lasagne is my favourite food. Everyone calls me Garfield. Yeah it does feel like a hug I LOVE IT!
This is nearly identical to how I make mine. I just do bechamel and pecorino on the top though instead of mozzarella, as I find that mozzarella makes it kind of greasy on top.
Respect 😊
Question...why white wine and not red wine, when the red is meat?
100% agree ricotta in lasagne ruins the flavour for me
When she was rolling the thing to get the pasta…badass
You should put the onion first and wait for it to start to get golden and then put carrots and after celery. When the carrots get softer add the meat
Wow she’s in there throwing it down like my Aunt Rosemary 👏
I need the recipe for this whole dish!!!
If you were in master chef what would you cook?
