Never watched Iron Man, but the audition made me hate the character. As a woman, I find his arrogance incredibly unattractive. How could anyone stand that?
@@elifdurmus8243That was his interpretation of the character. The comic book version is almost similar, but to its core the character is less arrogant and more confident, rightfully so. Kate is actually younger than Leo, which surprises many people since she does look older than she actually is, but that wasn't the most important part of Titanic. Kate and Leo had chemistry, so the movie was received well because the actors actually seemed like they had a genuine connection to each other, making it feel more authentic. Even in that brief screen test, you can feel the tension and awkwardness as well as the raw natural sexual tension of two young adults trying to play it cool. By all accounts it was always Leo's role opposite this tremendous performance from Kate Winslet, who absolutely WON her role. But Jeremy Sisto- with no future in that role reading this on the other side, just doing it for the love of what he was doing for his fellow actor, is kind of incredible. He's had a phenomenal career and the selflessness and generosity of this feels like maybe a big reason why he's been working for 3+ decades consistently
I'll say something I find interesting. When watching Hugh, i kind of don't see Logan at all. Incredible that the casting people were able to find a diamond in the rough. And look at him now, 25 years later, after the best portrayal of his career!
Emilia Clarke’s audition in this was actually for a role in the movie “Belle.” The role went to Sarah Gadon instead. I actually think Jeremy Sisto did a great job in the audition reading. Even though it was centered around Winslet's character, he really did capture the scene. So much of the time good actors lose a part because they don't capture the full essence of what the character was written for. Unfortunately, in the case of Titanic, Sisto just didn't have the youth and humor DiCaprio brought to the role. I believe that's the only reason he wasn't ultimately cast to be Jack in the end.
