You can hear in the scene, RDJ’s shaky breathing, I think he’s doing the same thing here.
Those other actors are very good too! I always find it so interesting to watch these auditions...
He is legit soo good man.i swear
He was so natural. The one and only.
He is one of best of actor in this generation
Growing up, Ironman was never really a favourite MCU character, I've always liked gambit, and my friends always liked someone else which was not Ironman. Crazy how RDJ just brings new life to this character. He's an amazing actor! Glad he got his second shot back with the role as Ironman.
Good for him.. and us, cant imagine a better Stark. He would never be hired by Disney due to his past, if they owned Marvel at that time.
This is amazing to witness.
3:00 that lean in, he looks like Al Pacino
bro identical, kinda freaky 😂
No lies told. Exactly like Al
He should have played Michael Corleone
Slayed it 3000!
He is a great actor - first saw him is Less Than Zero and he was brilliant.
even though he had to audition we all know they were gonna give it to him anyway.
No the director of Iron Man 1, Jon Favreau had to beg and plead with Marvel for RDJ to even be considered for the role.
@@ohtrueyeahnahwhy? Did they not want to hire him
because of the jail time??
@@thesilverblader6714 Yeah he was on Hollywoods blacklist at the time. The only acting gigs he could get were from friends
@@ohtrueyeahnah I’m not sure about that he still had a steady career after the jail time just not in very high profile movies but they all made splashed. Zodiac, scanner darkly, kiss kiss bang bang?(I think was after jail?) etc. if he was blacklisted then damn does he have some good friends and directors. Singing detective was made because of Mel Gibsons help paying out his bail bond apparently and the rest is history. His real comeback was iron man and tropic thunder but still got work.
@@Calypso694 yeah true
the last test was probably the reason he got the role, that was amazing
We're so accustomed to seeing pure greatness from the Tony Stark character that we take for granted just how far RDJ has come. Such an absolute gold find.
These would've made great scenes in "Iron Man." ❤
I’m convinced they just had him walk in and talk to random casting directors
I love this man, he is amazingly talented and so strong ❤
this RDJ guy is good, I think they should cast him as Tony Stark.
This was one of the best tales I’ve ever seen. Great work.
I love RDJ's great acting, he really brings his characters to life!
The lady here killed it too 🔥
The lady is Sasha Alexander and she did a better job than he did. Thankfully the later auditions were better
It’s nice to know that Marvel got a chance to audition for Robert Downey Jr
This is something that was supposed to be uploaded many years ago but it's unbelievable bcz this has been uploaded just 1 day ago. lol
I think they waited for the MCU to get back on the fans' good graces. Now with Deadpool & Wolverine, the time has come
I think it was uploaded before on different channels.
This is amazing cuz it's all the one take and he remembers every line so perfectly
Bodied this aution!! Such a great casting move over a decade later
Underrated actor
What? He is considered one of the best actor and kick started marvel with ironman 1 2 3 and more, this is like commenting "underrated" under a comment with 100k likes, it makes no sense at all
And rest is history 🙌
