Dude I thought I was the only one who wanted this. This was very disappointing when I found out no soul edge and calibur variation of each weapons. Or at least old SC costumes.

I LOVE the fact that you can start up Soul Charge with a certain move instead of the old fashioned method. Makes the fight progress more smoothly.

With this type of updates. It will make online matches a bit more fun and frustrating as well. But I want to know the release date for this, because I look forward to seeing more add ons! I think It be cool to see an old stage from soul edge/blade return or any other stages from previous soulcalibur series! Keep the soul burning Namco!

@@geoxev9423 Thats my second favorite Nightmare look but I prefer the Sc2 look, probably bc of the nostalgia factor. But in general I preffer Inferno Nightmare over Siegfried Nightmare.

Or maybe I'm wrong and she will be the first dlc character of Season 2. Ether way that guest character from Samurai Showdown will be dlc 3.

If it helps, you can sort of create him in Soul Calibur VI under the orc race and just give him Azwell's moveset (his moveset is the closest to Necrid in the game).

Geralt's "New moves" really doesn't give much room for confidence that he won't be terrible in Season 2. I still think they'll nerf him to the ground for no other reason than to make Haohmaru look more attractive

@@ateliertohka7327 To be fair, Geralt has been an absolute frustration to play since 1.30 and it's at the point where I can't help but question Bamco's disposition towards CD Projekt Red.
Having Haohmaru appear in the game is perfectly fine on its own but if you consider the frustrations associated with playing Geralt of Rivia, it really gives off the impression that the devs will want to "make room" for a new guest.

@@GR-rj6qo If you've played Geralt in the later balance patches, i think you can see how frustrating he can be, being one of if not _the_ most reliant on Reversal Edge usage, his mixup game is pretty much nonexistent and while it is possible to win your fair share of matches, I feel like most of the things Geralt can do, Mitsurugi can do just as well with fewer hairs pulled.

Probably a new stage for the new guest character that's coming. We'll also get three other returning characters (although we don't know who they are yet...)!

I'm just sick of these companies selling us the same recycled low effort game over and over calling it next gen Aaa masterpiece.

New moves will be in a free patch if this is like other fighting games. For the other DLC, you'll need to buy the season 2 pass. It's a huge rip-off but it is what it is.

It might just be another move or 2 per character like Tekken season 3 just got. But it wont be an overhaul of their entire move list.

Switch port. Like Never. Project Soul isn't a fan of Nintrndo Consoles. How many Soul Calibur games did it get after SC2? None. You just need to accept that a Switch port ain't happening.

I dunno, to me some of these new moves looks like the ones that were in the old games, but they didn't add in this game until this next update. And if that's the case they should of been in the game to begin with.

Only move i saw that was old was yoshimitsu, plus all characters will have more than 1 new move.

It would be cool to have a rage mode for each character... which they kinda do but I feel like the effects of it isnt grand enough. There should be more grit dialogue and a bit more of an aggressive stance... they could also lengthen the rage an additional 5 seconds because to me it does not last long enough.

Fighting games are one of those genres I want to get into due to how stylistic they are but I can't because I don't want BV to spend hours in the tutorial before I can play. I don't want them dumbed down but it'd be nice if companies took the characters and put them in other genres
The hours in the tutorial aren't actually necessary. You can learn the tech just fine by just playing the game. They don't need to put the characters in other games to satiate non-fighting game fans. The last time they tried that with Soulcalibur, we ended up with a gimmicky Wii game with motion controls that weren't optional.
@@ateliertohka7327 well without hours in the tutorial, its just me mashing buttons against my opponant hoping something works and then getting my face planted into the ground with near full health. Not my idea of a fun time.
@@dynastystar5515 Single-player is a great way to get better at the game. AI-controlled opponents are generally not going to be as hard to beat as human players. You don't have to go online right off the bat. If anything, going into online first thing you start the game is actually a really BAD idea. I'm sorry to say that hours in the tutorial isn't really going to help you in the long run. Any information you get from the tutorial is going to be useless if you don't apply it in actual play sessions.

@@dynastystar5515 Then lower the difficulty level in options? Most games have that setting either in the Options menu or right before you get into gameplay. I mean, I don't go into tutorials unless I'm forced to, and I can play just fine.

Chun-Li in Soul Calibur that is a bad idea. But they did manage with Haihachi in SC2 so that could work. Unless you mean on Tekken that could work but I doubt she will be in there. Smash Bros that could work plus we do need more female characters.

If you're not gonna be interested without that one guest character, then it's very unlikely that it'll have much to offer you even with that guest added. Collab guests only go so far.

This update is supposed to let you be able to block the reversal edge without you being forced to do it when blocking. But this update is taking for ever and I'm getting tired of these spammers doing this move when it's the last few hits.

But people can be very different, like you for example. And hating something doesn't mean I have troubles with it. Reverse Edge is super easy to punish. It's _always_ a Vertical attack, so you can just easily side step it

So let me guess Bandai Namco, Season pass 2 will be charged extra. Even if I would buy the Soulcalibur VI Deluxe Edition now, ONLY Season pass 1+Season 1 conten & Pre-order bonus Tira would be included. Everything releasing after Season 1 will be of extra charge if I had to guess, just like the Tekken 7 monetisation-model. Biggest bad surprise ever, seeing Season 2 pass coming along, and then Season 3 pass coming along, with extra new fan-favourite characters added. And there I thought, when I pre-ordered Tekken 7 Deluxe Edition including Season pass, I'd get to download every upcoming DLC for free because of the Season pass. Little did I know that there would be more than a single Season pass coming after that. So I bailed. Played Tekken 7 Story mode, played a little of Season pass 1 content. But eventually stopped playing altogether after the announcements of multiple Season passes for more money.
That's why I was cautious with Soulcalibur VI and for the first time DID NOT pre-order a Bandai Namco game. But then I read that Tira the pre-order exclusive character would be actually included in the Season pass, as opposed to Tekken 7, where you had to pre-order to receive Eliza, because she was not included in the Season pass and had to be single-handedly bought seperately. So that was a stinger for Tekken, but a little hope for Soulcalibur. Maybe they've changed back to how it used to be, with a single-only Season pass unlocking ALL DLC.
Well, this trailer proves me wrong sadly...
Bandai Namco, YOU could have turnt the Tekken 7 multiple Season passes fiasco around, with Soulcalibur & showed that you actually cared, but today shows that, at least for me a casual ex-Bandai Namco fan-gamer, the Soulcalibur franchise will be no-more, either anymore.
In the end, even Bandai Namco's days are over & no more, of buying & owning one single season pass, and receiving EVERYTHING released after the game's launch for free
