Blue Tongues love eggs. We give ours 1/3 of a chicken egg as a treat maybe once a month or every two months depending.

Thats genius!! I want a setup like this so bad because the one we have has broken door pieces so when we open it goes sideways. Exo Terra is junk!! $200 down the drain and that was on sale. And thats where the big boy lives. My baby lives in the one with the drawer for the front opening and a pain but no broken doors. She stays high up so i have ro go through the top screen everyday all day.
Id kill for a cabinet like those in stores with sliding glass doors.
Hmmm i may look in retail suppliers. May be cheaper than those marked for reptiles yet be the same exact thing.

Only 5?! When my bearded dragon lays she lays like 30 of them all at once.
Which is pretty frightening because she goes from looking like a balloon to looking like a normal lizard.
She's also never defensive or hisses at me, I guess that means she trusts me :)

As for the eggs and who gets them...they are perfect food full of protein & if you feel whole, with that size you can, you're also giving a good amount of calcium from the shell hmmmm... I would give one to each of the black throats, the chameleons, the geckos, oh, wait that too many, 1 to OG black throat or skip the the black throats and give to the pixie frog. I'm just thinking the eggs are the perfect size for the smaller guys to have as a nice nutrient treat.
When you said she's was ripping the paper that took me back, and reminded me of my mice nesting right before they had their litters, human moms do it to they with rearrange their environment when it's close to time. Lol. Funny how some thing are universal, lol.

My girl was egg bound because she was on reptile carpet and she wouldn't lay without a deep area. Temporarily put in a sandbox (away from her food) and she laid the same night. Infertile eggs because she hadn't been with a male but surprised me that your girl laid on newspaper. Is mine just fussy? she's had a few clutches all 20 or more eggs. Its crazy to see so much come out!

Do you feed her now more insects or give her more sublement powder for a time and if so, for how long. What do you do if one of your animals is eggbound? I think that last question would be a good topic for another video. I lost my snake to that problem and am freaked out now to take on another female.

close, but not tort!, egg bound normally needs a vet to get them out. sometimes you can do it do a snake with a probe.

she is so elegant looking back at you! i am done moving soon and discussed getting a beardie and got a pass. my big sister who was in there while the discussion happened told me that they will be smelly most likely and i just said, "i dont care, you keep dogs and they smell too. so why should i not get a lizard then?"

Hey , can you use a normal lamp for heat lamp or you need a reptile lamp
you can use a normal flood bulb, but most reptiles also need UVB bulb of some kind
You may want to go watch his lamp videos and do some research. It's sooooo important to their health that you get the uvb right. Good luck! 😘
