Many people, on the FB group I’m a member of, have said the making up instructions are quite complicated to follow in this latest publication. So I think I’ll have a go at this bunny rabbit first to get to know the designer whilst taking on board your tips, which are always invaluable to me.
I was just looking at these patterns and you step in with a great video! My perfectionism is killing my desire to try something new but I won’t let it be the boss of me (for long ☺️).
I look at the first time I make a pattern as the "test dummy". It's when I figure out all the kinks and I don't put pressure on myself to get it right, it's just so I know how to do better the next time! ❤

She has a video series for a beginner bunny that goes step by step. My advice is to download the pattern and follow along. Her children are in it and they are new knitters.

There are two doll designers I think you would enjoy. 1) Magdalaine or Irishmagda, she’s on Ravelry. Her groups name is Dolly Delights. Her dolls are awesome. They’re very well written & the knitting is very enjoyable. Also very easy to do. 2) Toysknit. She’s on Etsy. I just bought her Lamb pattern which is darling. I’m using King Cole DK & Stylecreft Special DK and I’m getting it from WoolWarehouse in the UK. If you get it shipped by DHL it’s only alittle more expensive but it is delivered very quickly. Hope you like my suggestions. I’m from East Texas.

We also note North Carolina is very nice state as well. We have friends that live near Lake Norman; we thought we'd check it out too. Since the housing market has skyrocketed in price, we need to be careful on pricing living on a retirement budget.

Lake Norman area is very expensive here in North Carolina. We also have a state income tax and TN does not, just thought I would mention it since you're retiring. I'm attempting her tiny bunny and did the polar bear somewhat successfully. There's a lot of seaming which is why it sat in my pile of wips for probably a year lol. Side note: I'm sure there are acrylic yarns that are soft and fuzzy but also very affordable.
That bunny design looks amazing. I am in the process of sewing up my first knitted Hare from the book, Knitted Animal Friends by Louise Crowther. The ears are floppy and i wish i had thought to place something inside the ear to make it stand up. I'm sure i will learn more as i continue to knit more toys. Love your videos so much. I think having some experience with knitting toys really helps when making this pattern. Like I mentioned in the video, the knitting part isn't hard at all, if I hadn't already made a lot of toys, I might have been really frustrated. It's definitely not for beginners! But now that I've made this one, I believe the others will be much easier! 💓

I actually bought a pattern from the same designer and found it quite difficult to follow, with a few mistakes in it and directions didn't always make sense. Perhaps you could try the Ratty pattern and give some visual advice as well? I contacted the author with questions but her answers were very general and not very helpful. I love your content by the way! 😀

Thank you so much and I'm so jealous of your snow! We haven't really had a good snow in a couple of years now! And I just love the Dot Pebbles designs, such gorgeous creatures! I had to be honest with everyone💓 and make sure that people understood that they may find some of the instructions frustrating at times. I do believe the effort is worth it though!

I actually bought a pattern from the same designer and found it quite difficult to follow, with a few mistakes in it and directions didn't always make sense. Perhaps you could try the Ratty pattern and give some visual advice as well? I contacted the author with questions but her answers were very general and not very helpful. I love your content by the way! 😀
