Thanks so much for including my patterns in your lovely autumnal round up Elise, you are always so wonderfully enthusiastic about your crafts and the way that you lift other makers and creatives up is so generous and kind-hearted. Your upbeat videos are always a joy to watch, and you inspire so many. Happy crafting and cosying this autumn xxx
Awwww! Thank you so much, Julie!!! Your patterns make the world a more joyful place! Thank you for sharing your talents with us mere mortals!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi Elise, you cannot keep doing these videos! It just makes me want to quit my job and do crochet/knitting all day long! Such beautiful projects! And I am all for penguins in Fall :) Thank you for this great video :)
Elise, long ago one of my daughter's commented on how beautiful The Celtic Traveler blanket looked. I filed that info. Two years later I decided to make it. 7/8 finished with the blanket in superwashed wool, my daughter had expressed her fear of washing anything I knit for her (eons ago she waxed and dried an alpaca sweater coat I'd knitted for her, shrunk it to almost Barbie-sized, lol!) so I stopped knitting the Celtic Traveler, searched and found for practically indestructible yarn, and reknit it - she LOVED IT! I chose Bernat Maker Cotton bulky yarn in Cream, it was a wonderful experience and turned out a gorgeous super-sized blanket. Wish I could add a photo in here, but trust me, it turned out beautifully!!!
Love how you take us around UA-cam in a flash... plus your enthusiasm is infectious... I am old now though and can only keep us visually...LOL Hugs, GrammaBabs
I love all those pumpkins. I am mainly a knitter and I knitted a pumpkin garland for my grandson for Halloween last year because he loves skulls and skeletons, witches, spiders and all things Halloween. We copy a lot of the American celebrations here in the UK and Fall ( Autumn here) is becoming more popular. I made a pumpkin garland for my craft room and now I'm knitting and crocheting leaves for a leaf garland and making Autumn coloured pompoms. Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed it.
@@EliseRoseCrochet We've always done Halloween but in a 'down market' understated kind of a way. I'm 70 now and when I was a child we drew pictures of witches and ghosts and kids from my road used to sit under a street light and tell creepy stories. Trick or treating really came in the 80s/90s when my kids were growing up. It's grown since then but it's still mainly kids who dress up and go trick or treating. Adults hold Halloween parties in pubs or clubs but the past few years it's been fizzling out. Autumn/Fall decorating is becoming bigger. Since Brexit a lot of celebrations have been downsized because people just don't have the money or the motivation . Very 😟sad.
These patterns are beautiful and adorable 😍. I also am in my pumpkin chai latte era! I'm new to knitting and am about to make my first infinity scarf. I would love to see you do more knitting videos ❤
Elise, thank you so much for this review with knitting included. I love both crafts but neither are perfected YET😅. I do love small knitted projects. They are very rewarding. You shown so many and I don’t know where to start😊❤🎉❤
I made the Hobbycraft Fall Into Autumn CAL blanket last year and loved it so much I have bundles to make two more for gifts this year. It is soooo soft and cosy
Elise, you are a genius at finding the perfect patterns, honestly!! I was searching all over the place for a sweater like the Riverbed cardigan! This is going to be great for my niece!! Thanks a million! There are also a bunch of other designs I'll be looking into. Most importantly, I wish you a very Happy Birthday!! 🎂🥳 50 is a great age. You'll see!
Well it is Spring here in Australia (OZ), so warm and cosy items are finished now, on to toys for charities for Christmas. Currently working my way through the Pokémon Crochet by Sabrina Somers, they are so cute. But you have inspired me to look at knitted toys that cow is just adorable.❤🧶
So many things I suddenly want to make!! Can't wait to finish my current project (king sized block stitch blanket) so I can get started with the cozy stuff! My jaw dropped when you said some of these were free patterns, makes me so happy! I'd also been considering if I should learn to knit too, and the knitting projects in the second part of the video have convinced me! So many cute ideas!!
Wishing you a wonderful Birthay, may it be filled with lots of love and happiness 🎉🎉. I love how Americans celebrate fall. I think a granny square pumpkin cardigan would be so cute.
So many festive fall ideas to love, love, love! I enjoyed all the categories and the variety of Designers. I always look forward to seeing what you have for us.😊❤❤❤
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! ❤❤ I enjoy watching you so much!!! You home is beautiful!!! Just started crocheting in January!! Trying to build my skills by watching you!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I've crocheted 3 pumpkins so far, and a amigurumi Medusa for my granddaughter (lol) I may try to make the C2C pillow, thank you for all you do and I must say 50 looks beautiful on you!
Hi Elise, Happy Happy Big Birthday 🎉 hope you have time to really celebrate the day. I made 3 child size granny square sweaters and 1 adult sweater. I finished 2 adult hexagon square sweaters and just about finished a 3rd one for me. But you inspired me to make some of those fall projects you shared today.
Love your videos. I am looking to learn how to knit. I just retired and looking to learn new things. I have crochet since I am 9 years old. Thank you for your inspirational/ educational videos 🌺
I'm currently working on two knitting (of course it's knitting lol) projects, both of them are autumn related, even though the temperature was around 100 degree Fahrenheit up until yesterday. One is a very simple pullover that I knit top to bottom with a simple raglan out of Schachenmayr sock wool, the other one is a little bit more complicated, it's a two-sided kitchen wipe made of Catania-type mercerized cotton. The pattern (an owl) is my design, that I "stole" from an Antique Greek chalice, so naturally I use dark brown and terracotta colors for it. Since I knit the same way as you (yarn held on the right hand), it's pretty tedious sometimes switching between the two yarns at every single stitch, but after all it's not a very big project, and I can also go on with the pullover if I just want to swich out my mind a little bit. But I'm absolutely going to do the first cardigan from this video too!
Thank you so much for sharing! When I'm doing colorwork I will hold the other color in my left hand. I learned that style from a class I took from Knitogrpahy Farm! 🤎🧶🍁🎃🍄🐿️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Wooow that's _advanced!_ I never thought about that, but will try! I'm from Europe, everyone around me knits with the yarn on their left hand by default, I honestly don't even understand how did I end up like this :'D Many thanks for the tip!
Happy 50th Birthday! Fifty is fabulous! I hope you can enjoy the whole decade, Idid 😁(I turned 70 this year). Thank you for your delightful and enthusiastic videos. Happy crafting !
Thank you! I can't get over how cute those crocheted cabled pumpkins are. I am excited to try to make them for my Hallowe'en-obsessed grandchild. The Fall into Autumn blanket is adorable, too. Thank you for putting some free patterns in this video!
I am so jealous - I live in New Zealand and it's coming into spring here, but autumn and winter are my favourite seasons. I might have to make some of these items anyway and squirrel them away until next year!
I got so much stuff to make this fall, I probably won't get to it all. I'm currently working on the Salty Days sweater by Kutovakika. I have a simple raglan sweater I want to unravel and remake for a looser fit, and I also have yarn to make the Winter Owl sweater by Drops Design. My sister wants a C2C blanket in a beautiful autumn colored chenille yarn. My niece wants some crochet fidget toys and my nephew wants a crochet tractor. I'm also making the African Flower Spider by Larriecraft for my nephews and maybe a large dragon for my niece's best friend.I haven't even begun thinking about Christmas yet, plus all thee of my sister's kids are born in Ocober/November.
Wishing you a belated happy 50th birthday! 🥳🎂🥂 I just 'celebrated' 30 years of being 18, 2 weeks ago 🤭 Also, following your recommendation, I bought the Crochet Secrets book and, at first flip-through, I think it's going to be incredibly useful - thank you 🥰
I LOVE Mallory at Nautikrall! She has me spinning trying to figure out what I’m making next! I am thinking about blocking yarn suppliers because of her! 😂 I just started her Sunflower afghan, with Wool of the Andes yarn, & the new Astrid afghan, doing it in the Wool of Andes yarn also. Elise I think I have my winter Grannies all set! ❤❤
I ordered some yarn to make a baby hat ! But it isn't just a baby hat.. Its a pumpkin hat its so cute! Its by Susan b. Anderson in her itty bitty hats book in the section from the garden!
I've somehow been able to mess up my riverbed cardigan when following the instructions... I've been attempting to modify it so I can complete it by the end of september if not earlier
I will wind yarn for a project and then change my mind about the project or the yarn or using that yarn for that project. So of course I'm storing winded yarn. sigh. I love that Fabulous Fall Crochet Wreath!
I had no idea that it wasn't a good idea! Someone else mentioned that after you wind yarn it is actually a good idea to rewind it more loosely and that helps with stretching! 🧶🧶🧶
