Thanks for sharing and congrats on the new ride. I'm looking at getting this ATV later this month. Trying to decide between the 650 and the 850. I know the 650 is more than enough power but for only $300ish more, why not get the extra ponies? I'd love to see some more videos of it on the trail. I'm looking at this model for the same reasons you did. I'm getting older and my KLX300r is just more effort these days than I want to give. All I want to do is hit the trails and see some of God's country. I'm no longer interested in speed or air. This just seems more practical.

I bought my Can Am at Ask Power sports in Columbus and was really happy with the deal. The 850 max xt is 600.00 more. I took into consideration that I didn’t need the power but also the gas consumption of 200 more cc’s and the heat of the bigger engine. Riding In 90 degree heat in July with a bigger engine may make a difference for me personally. I really want to go on long rides and take in nature like you mentioned. I am waiting on the title so I can get my plate for it. Ohio requires atvs to be registered and get plates. Then I can par take on my first adventure. My goal is to be a little more like Brian Fisher on Fishers Atv world....lol. Take care for now.
David Reiner, I’m in Colorado and they only require registration to get an annual sticker. Good thought about the increased heat. I’ll have to think more about that. I have heard that can ams already put out some serious heat. Not too worried about the extra fuel though. As for the increased cost, it’s only $300 difference out here, wonder why.
Thank you Stephen. I still haven't received my memorandum of title from the state yet so I have not been able to register it in Ohio. I have to register it to get any trail permits. So it's still sitting in my garage. I can't wait to take it out. Congrats on when you get yours. Where are you going to take it riding?
Thank you. I looked at ATV's for a couple of years new and used. I wanted a Can Am and good used one's are hard to fine. I traded in a 2007 KLX 250S. The dealership gave me a decent number for the trade in so it worked out. I have had it out 6 or 7 times now and having a great time. I have to get the break in fluids changed now before I take it out again.
