What an amazing achievement to finish off this series! I just wanted to say a very heartfelt thank you - this was the series that actually got me started with miniature painting all those years ago. Tutorials that seemed approachable to a complete novice, but always pushed for great results. Produced with as much care as you paint the miniatures (if not more!), from the music to the videography and editing. And always sharing such a wonderful philosophy towards painting and teaching. You should be really proud of what you've done here - thank you again for introducing me to such a wonderful hobby!
Legendary quality, legendary guide. You made a mini painter out of me and I've already started expanding to adjacent hobbies because of it (model building, historical wargaming, etc). You've helped me create a skill set that I use to find calm, quiet, peace in life. When the noise of my intense job gets too much, I know I can always pop open my paints and wet my palette. It all goes back to an Imperial Assault Stormtrooper video so many years ago :)
I've been waiting for this episode since the figurine was released. What an epic ending! I discovered the game by watching these videos and I can't thank you enough for all the good times painting and playing I had thanks to you.
The variety of games which you post combined with the superb editing and approachable guidelines still make these some of the best beginner friendly and high-level painting guides. I understand that the algorithms push other content more but it is so nice to see, that I can see a new video of you pop up and know I will see a great painting project instead. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words! And I appreciate your observation about the algorithms; you can probably tell that I refuse to be a slave to them, and am all the happier for it.. 😁
What a Journey, from those first beginner-friendly episodes to building into this last work of art. I remember anticipating what the music was going to be like and from the quiet somber start into the bright vocals I was incredibly impressed by the production values throughout. I never actually picked up this game system, but I've enjoyed watching the miniatures being brought to life all this time. Thank you, and I'm looking forward to the next game and chapter to your career.
Thank you so much for your incredible work! I just painted my first couple of LoTR Goblin scouts with the help of your first video in this series, and they turned out much better than I ever expected and hoped for. Your videos, music and the way you explain the paints and techniques are out of this world. You made my introduction in what could very well be a new hobby for me so much easier and a lot more fun! I am looking forward to more painting while learning from your videos. You are truly talented, thank you for sharing that with the rest of us!
I have to add to the universal positive vibes here sorastro. Yours are without a doubt the best painting tuitions on yt imho. And the music is great too. Thank you so much mate. ( now i need to get that model....😅)
As usual, great job! I really appreciate how you continue to change up techniques and styles to show new (and old!) painters new ways of slapping color down on toy soldiers. You are a great part of our community. I know that you probably have a ton of stuff planned out for next year's videos, but have you ever considered doing a series on painting units of models like for 40K (larger end of the specturm) or Necromunda/Warcry (narrower end of the spectrum)? If there's not another vid between now and the New Year, I hope that y'all have a wonderful and warm holiday.
Thanks so much, Cliff! I really appreciate the kind words. I was into 40k (and WFB) back in the 80s, but I'm not sure I'll be going back to it, as there are so many other minis and game systems to explore! I'll be producing one more video before taking a little break.. I hope you and yours have a wonderful Holiday Season 🤗
Your videos are always a treat ! Since you are done with LOTR ( me and my Gf painted all miniatures based on your videos ) it would be amazing to see some more Witcher from you. Your Golem was great and I’d love to see your take on Fiend or Gryphon. Greetings from Poland :)
Another lovely paint job. The combination of the blue-green ambient lighting and the yellow OSL really elevated what could otherwise have been a rather boring monochrome color scheme.
That is a lovely piece of work as always, sir! For those of us who don't have contrast paints, I imagine either inks or really thin coats of paint will suffice instead? I really like how you handled the colors to liven up the black here.
@Sorastro Sorry, wasn't able to watch more then the first 30 seconds yet. Ahh what a pity. Since I enjoy everything about your videos especially those about the games I own myself. It was always a big help for me to have your advice and your colour choices as reference (red green blind here). I also enjoyed watching the videos over and over again after months or even years. Simply coming back to your channel and watch some Star Wars or LotR clips of older times. That is why I would have loved seeing videos of you painting all of the other Lord of the Rings minis aswell 🥲
@@Lukeo0 Yep, videos are just incredibly time intensive to produce, and there are only so many hours in the day. But you'll still find all of the colours and techniques detailed in the PDF guides for the other figures if you need the help (which also take many hours to produce, but not as many as the videos!). 🙂
@Sorastro Understandable. Just wanted to tell you how much i loved and enjoyed every second of these series. I hope that a possible new painting series is a game I maybe already earn or would also be interesting for me to get. Have a nice evening Sire.
Incredible work - its exciting everytime I hear you say 'edge highlighting'! My next project will be painting the minis (or maxis) from Primal the Awakening - any chance you'll be starting a series for that game? Appreciate the hard work you put into these videos - have learned a lot from you!
Hi! I absolutely love your videos. Just starting painting minis after a long break, got a few old vallejo paints from game color line. Can you recommend any set of paint for a new painter? Not to expensive but with some good colors for fantasy setting. Thank you in advance!
OSL is both my favorite and my most frustrating effect. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it. How did you determine the size/strength of the sphere of light coming from the sword to make it believable?
Hi! It really depends on a range of factors including the strength of the light source, the kinds of material the light is hitting, plus any competing "ambient" light. But above all else, it's about playing around with different intensities and placement of highlight and just using your judgement to feel what looks right.. 🙂

Amazing painting guides, I have learned so much. It has been an honor to support your work.
That's so kind - thank you my friend 🤗
I've been watching you for years and you have never stopped inspiring me. Thank you for what you do and for taking the time to share it
Thank you, Klaysun! That really means a lot to me 😊
Thank You very much for the journey ! I 'm not really a painter 😅, but every video has been a pleasure to watch ! Thanks again !
Ha, thank you buddy! I'm glad you enjoyed the videos 😁

All good things must come to an end... Beautiful as ever (esp. the music). Can't wait for the next chapter
Thank you very much! I'm glad you like the music, too 😊
That is just crazy good work!! Congrats on completing the series and thank you for all the inspiration through the years!
Thanks a lot! I truly appreciate that 🤗
Thanks for bringing us along this amazing journey!
Absolutely my pleasure 🤗
This guys been sitting on my desk for over a year needing to be completed. Maybe now it’s time.
Ha, I had mine for ages, too before painting it. Sometimes you just have to wait for the mini to call to you.. 😁
Epic finish for an epic series of painting guides from A Master! Thank you! 🙏🏻
Thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😊
You make it look so easy. Fantastic job!
Thanks a lot! Once I'd decided the look I wanted, the techniques used are all fairly straightforward tbh.. 😁
Your OSL is strikingly efficient. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you very much! OSL doesn't always have to be complicated to look effective.. 😁
Stuning work, brilliant weapon swap and amazing set of miniatures for such a good game! :). Cant wait to see what's next....
Thank you, sir! I really appreciate that 🤗
Finally new stuff ❤
Yep! 😁

Ha ha, thank you so much! I really appreciate that 😊
Waouhh it is just beautiful! Thanks for all your tutorials. Now I have to finish this last figurine to finish also my game. Thank you so much ☺️
Thank you so much! And you're very welcome. I hope you enjoy painting yours! 😀
Stunning! Love from France 💜💜💜
Thank you so much! 🤗

Thanks, man! I think if you thin some regular paint perhaps with some medium like the ProAcryl Glaze & Wash you could get similar results.. 🙂
すごい!
炎の剣もとてもカッコ良い!
Thank you so much! 😊
Yeaah finally Lord of the Rings again ❤
You said last episode? Arent there more minis for that game?
Hi! As mentioned in the video, I've covered the rest of the minutes with PDF guides 😀
@Sorastro Sorry, wasn't able to watch more then the first 30 seconds yet.

Thanks a lot for the kind comment! I've not heard of that game actually.. 🙂
I believe they are having a black Friday sale if you're interested - Reggie games - expensive but lots of great minis and great game as well 😊
Wonderful!
Thank you, John! 😊
...have you ever done...or would you ever do...some dwarfen forge terrain?...
Hi! I've never owned any of their stuff tbh, but I never say "never".. 😁
Painting miniatures guide of the Aliens Another Glorious Day in the Corps, please!!!🙏🏻
Hi! I'm afraid I don't have that game - sorry 🙂
Will you ever paint another 75mm display miniatures/small plinth diorama? I really liked that video
Hi David! Actually yes, I have a couple of projects in mind that I'd like to tackle in the New Year.. 😀
If you get the chance, can you show how to paint an arcane magic blade character with OSL?
Hi! Is that a mini from a specific game?
