More videos like this please!! It's always great to get a behind-the-scenes look at what goes into creating these beautiful pieces of our collections. Another Sideshow book detailing these processes would be great too (hint, hint). My copy of "Inside the Sideshow Studio" is just about worn out!

@@CollectSideshow I have watched all of the behind the scenes videos ofcourse :) They are really helpfull and educational. As a model kit painter I've learned a lot. Thank you and hope there will be more behind the scenes video to come!
The airbrush is an Iwata, you can see it when they show up close. I see some Golden paints. A lot of the paints are Cartoon Color Cel Vinyl which are not made anymore. They went out of business a long time ago. Not sure how they have any still, as any found are all dried up. Maybe someone started making again. At the end of the day it is the user and not what they are using.
I am always very interested in videos like this. I paint up miniatures from the Power Rangers Heroes Of The Grid game from Renegade Game Studios and I am always on the look-out for techniques on how to paint something with various different shades & weathering too.
These clips from Sideshow Collectibles are really important for many of us to see, who are thinking of buying, but not a lot of money. Cuz. I watching Chie do the painting and everything she describe, in the way of plan and execution, make NO sense to me. I not an artist, so it shouldn't. You know? It just look so precise, so technically skill. 600 dollar statue, not an easy purchase for many. But professionalism can put some buyer over the 'buying hump.' I thinking about the female spy.
My favorite Sideshow series Behind the scenes, thank you sideshow for spotlighting all your phenomenal artist

New hair cut, Chie!
superbe j'adore vous voir peindre
Love these videos just wish they would leave a description of what kind of airbrush and what paints are used.

sensacional showwwww;
We are so happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!
The paint looks great but Yoda looks like Red from that 70s show.
what material is used to cast those models?
funny to think about all the mysogins dude watching this video after ordered the statue
need some clear gloss coat in his eyes to make it come to life.
Is that Ms Swan from madTv??

Just a pity it looks like cartoon Yoda, rather than ESB Yoda.
Are they *all* painted by Chie?
Their in house artists paint the prototypes and ones you see at places like SDCC or NYCC. The ones they sell are produced in factories in Asia
@@jjjo1701 The statues they ship are high quality and very close to the ones artists like Chie create as templates.
Amazing
