I remember the 80's like it was yesterday. I remember turning 16 around this time ( July ). Can remember the clothes I had, the first disco I wen to. I LOVED Breakfast Club at the time. And Prince. MJ .. nah
So, so incredibly fantastic...Dan Gilroy's voice is incredible - the key change into the bridges on "Never Be The Same" always give me goosebumps. And doing it live - even more impressed. So miss those days.
I can see why Madonna dated him, and since these are also her former bandmates from the early days I can't help but wonder if these songs were written with her in mind.
Breakfast Club, a band polished like a diamond, was part of the beginnings of Madonna, Stephen Bray, and Dan Gilroy, whose creativity and talent each defined their own style of music until they reached success. Dan Gilroy with a unique voice combined with the Pop sound of his great songs like: "Right on Track", "Never Be The Same" "Kiss And Tell" and his spontaneity, great humor, and genius in his videos, enshrines him as one of the most influential artists of the 80s!
@@LuisMartinez-ft9or Madonna was indeed part of this band in the early 80s. Dan Gilroy the lead singer was her first long relationship with. They were just an underground hit at this time with Madonna still visiting them on their live performances. Stephen Bray (guy in the drums) was the reason why this Band even considered making an album after Madonna left because of the immense success of Madonna's Like a Virgin album which he co wrote and produce half of the songs. So yea, the influential note of the 80's is not because of the band, its because of the producer behind it which is Stephen Bray.
I missed this sound in the late 1980s... I'm kinda shocked how that handsome lead vocalist Dan Gilroy has aged a lot that he doesn't seem to be what he looked today than in 1987 his pop career heyday.
I like the song “Right On Track”despite the fact that Mr. Gilroy is not really a vocalist. But this song is so hot, that it really doesn’t matter. It still gets the club turned out regardless!
Man I’d go back in a heartbeat. The 80’s was where it was at ✌️
His voice was live but the music is a sound track and he sounds short of short of breath!😊
I love Breakfast Club ❤️ great band, excellent music.👍👍👍
If I had a time machine, the 80's would be my first stop. Then I would destroy the machine so I'd never have to come back. That performance was tight!
Yep 1987 days of shoulder pads, teased bangs
you'll come back, it's a matter of time. So i would keep the machine.
You can't destroy it...u need to keep returning to 1980, 82...83...84... 89 and come back...gain and again...
Amen
Clasicos de la mejor decada, que vivan los 80 hermosos recuerdos !!!
This Stephen Bray-sound is so fantastic. Plus I think the singer has a really pleasant voice with unique phrasing. Great singer.
Great guys, proud to say i look after them online for the last 12 years ! :)
Stephen Bray us a musical genius without the spotlight.
Ohh ich liebe Ed Gilroy!!!

Most influential artist of the 80s? Please. Most people have no idea who this guy is. I think that would go to duran duran or the Police or MJ
You’re kidding right? 😂 I like these guys too, but saying they were the beginnings of Madonna? 😂 This was 1987. Madonna hit commercial success in ‘83.

@@justpassingthrough3410 go read history.. influential yes.. popular no
If you even knew music, you would know Madonna started her career on drums with Breakfast Club.
Educate yourself before spouting foolishness.
