This is my take on skin care.
    1) Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from inside.
    2) Eat your fruits and veggies it has all the vitamins and minerals you need.
3)Wash face with gentle face wash and with warm water.
    4) Apply moisturiser immediately after washing your face. My personal favourite is Aveeno Baby cream Moisturiser (I am 42 years old, but my skin looks like 32)
    5) Take a multivitamin every alternate day.
    6) If you can, avoid the sun or use a sunscreen.
    7) Eating very high calorie food can cause inflammation to your skin.
    8) Last, but not the least ,avoid drugs, alcohol, smoking cigarettes,as they age your skin and appearance even faster
Best of luck, ladies and gentlemen!

I would like to add this also: Ladies please stop making faces, rolling of the eyes, cause eyes to sink or hollow, and lifting the eyebrows while thinking etc. will create lines on forehead, stretching your skin by making angry faces, please try not to be angry, it stresses your skin, and leads to wrinkles the same as making all those faces, smile more as it lifts your cheeks, get some of your medicine from laughter!! Think younger💎 watch posture, bring glass to you when drinking, don’t go to the glass, do neck exercises, drink water at room temperature upon waking each morning, stretch! God Bless You, and vitamin C is your dear friend❤Be Grateful🙏🏼

@@joannaryan9805 I’m not hating against you (or the lady) but an anecdote shared on TV is a really poor evidence to suggest a relationship between lack of natural V.D synthesis and breast cancer. CeraVe is a very very good and is fairly well-priced in North America. Also, French Pharmacy skincare brands are fairly affordable and widely available in US and Canada as well as Europe. Use those. I do. I have also used Skinceuticals and SkinMedica and they are about the same. I cannot afford to buy those all the time so I just buy La Roche-Posay, CeraVe, Cetaphil, Neutrogena, RoC {which is fantastic, by the way}, you get the jist. Some stuff that I get at CVS with Extrabucks Rewards and/or Shoppers DrugMart [in Canada which I recommend going to if you ever cross], Walmart, Target, Amazon, etc.. More expensive skincare products do not translate to more efficacy. 🙂

I think you missed his point here, Dr. Karam's products contain everything such as actives, ceramides, peptides, etc in his 3 piece set of a face wash, serum, and moisturizer. He is telling everyone not to buy expensive moisturizer that costs over $300 per jar for just a moisturizer. His trifecta has everything that great skin care products should contain in a 3 piece set for $300 USD. I personally agree with him that this is a great deal (and I'm from Canada, where it is 30% more than what Americans are paying) for skin care because if you had to buy all of the different actives, ceramides, and peptides individually plus purchase a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturizer that contained only some of those ingredients, it would cost way more than $300 and you would have way more than 3 steps in your skin care routine as well! His trifecta is simple, easy to use, and it is the best skin care products I have ever used!! I have chatted with many individuals that completely agree with me on that plus the ease of use and price for products and ingredients!! Mine has lasted over a month as well!!

Dr K I only started using moisturizers in the last 10 years when I turned 60. I used sunblock as a “moisturizer” since my skin was always oily. I used retin A regularly since I was in my early 30’s. Through a process of trial and error, I realized that sun exacerbated my tendency to age spots. Keep it simple. Keep it clean. When I see people smear layer after layer of product on their faces, I think it’s just so counter productive. Whether you use Ret A or Karam MD, THESE ARE ENOUGH as long as you protect. I live in the Deep South so we get lots of sun year round. What a challenge. You have taught me a lot too and I appreciate your good counsel. Now as I approach 70, I use only a tinted moisturizer on my skin during the day and at night. I still love blushes and eye makeup but on my facial skin I prefer simplicity. If I have a few skin imperfections, I don’t mind letting them show. It’s reality. Thanks Dr K.

I honestly won't ditch my fancy skincare products. I realize that it's a lot of fluffs and marketing, and I'd been a utilitarian on my skincare before i.e. a lot of generic products, a lot of The Ordinary, etc- it didn't motivate me to do my skincare routine. I'm good with using skincare that balances actual useful ingredients and just enough luxury feels to it such as Tatcha, Sunday Riley, or even Naturium. I even switched my face wash to Aesop just because I hate double cleansing the most. I find that using products that are actually enjoyable is what works for me to be consistent with my routine.

    • @dramirkaram
      @dramirkaram  6 місяців тому +2

This is one of the questions we hear most often and the truth is, not only can you combine Vitamin C and Retinol but, in fact, you need to in order to get the most out of your skincare routine. This is an essential combination that gets a bad rap because these ingredients can both cause skin sensitivity when used incorrectly. In order to prevent this, we've encapsulated our retinol to allow for a slow release to the skin and added anti-inflammatories around the Vitamin C. In addition, we've formulated our Vitamin C serum (Quench) and our all-in-one retinol cream (Illuminate) with two daily half doses of these ingredients for a gentler result.

I wish I had the resources to be educated in the 90s when I was 20, I never had a good diet smoked wore a ton of make up and the only moisturising I did was Vaseline lotion , when I turn 4o I noticed the onset of aging at a great rate of knots , instead of gracefully it was sudden and it shocked me to the piont I couldn’t stand looking in the mirror, so diet and exercise then I went on a crusade of skin care spending thousands only in the last three years I have worked out the simple things to put on my skin , I believe everyone is different to my concoction may not work for others , I have manage to recover my skin to firmer healthy looking I am so happy with the results , I keep my skin hydrated and every second night gets oils as skin needs to breath 😌

Trifecta is easy, travels well ( no leaks in my kit) minimal things I have to bring on a trip, it has all need. And, it's perfect in all climates. I don't get too oily in the tropics and have to discontinue my skincare. I think it's a lot for the money. And if you use Polish regularly, it takes less Trifecta products to spread around your face without all that dead skin. Thank you for skin school. I love learning.

Can you please do a video on if fasting (or anything at home) helps reduce loose skin?
