      I'm responding to your video over 50 don't ruin your face I do agree that after a certain age or a certain development of Aging only surgery will give people the results they desire however in the beginning of your video you showed pictures of Christie Brinkley and Nicole Kidman and you mentioned how fillers and Botox don't look good on older women however once a woman has had a good facelift I'm 78 and have had one at 47,a 2nd one at 65 and a 3rd at 75 and since I am very rejuvenated fillers and Botox do look good on me so I think you neglected to say that once a woman's face is restored to youthfulness with surgery then Botox and fillers can look good on her at almost any age especially if she's looking in her 30s or 40s

    At 54 yrs old I’ve taken a very holistic approach. After playing with the thought of fillers and deciding against it, I’ve been doing osteopathic massage with incredible results. Consistency is a MUST and you will see results. It won’t give you the look of a tight “facelift” but it will give you a natural, youthful look along with proper skincare and adequate hydration. The key is to age beautifully as well as gracefully. Who wants to look 20 with a 60 year old body anyway? Aging is inevitable ladies. Love yourself naturally❤

    I am a former massage therapist and I went to my clients homes, they were allvery wealthy and had many face lifts starting in their 40's. No matter what people still know a person's age. The best thing I found is healthy foods, don't drink a lot of alcohol, stay active, moisturize, and do facial exercises they work. I also massage my face and drain lymph so it gets rid of puffy eyes and saggy jowls. Be your age and be proud of it!

    I'm 57 and in my 2nd year of menopause and have noticed changes in my body even though I am in pretty good shape. I have noticed jowels and a heaviness on my eyes etc. As I see women my age getting these procedures done I have been tempted to get a little this or that. One thing that is very noticeable is that when I smile in pictures I look way younger and that is the the answer, for me anyways. I am getting older and will continue to try and stay positive and smile more. Putting stuff into my face makes me nervous , so for now I will just try and smile more 😊

    Why isn’t anyone commenting on accepting aging or the emotional and mental suffering imposed on women by our culture’s obsession with youth and beauty? I’m 59. I’d rather spend my money enjoying life. Id rather spend my time meditating on self love. The time, energy, and money spent and the pain endured, especially by women, makes me so sad. I wish you all happiness and full hearts wrinkles and all. You don’t need to look youthful to be (and look) joyful. ❤️

While I appreciate your message re don't waste your money on botox and fillers, how about hope on payment options or how one might be able to afford it. I.e. 1 yr /3 yr/ 5 yr / plan or something to at least give us some offer of hope. Or show us how the money wasted on fillers, in addition to x amt. Could equate to vertical lift cost almost. I'm 51 and have only had botox, fillers twice in 2 years. I can't afford vertical lift yet, but I also want to be able to have a professional career without ageism and continue to look like myself. I am sixty and I look great. Letting my natural grays come out. I workout and always have since age 25. I’ve never smoked, drank, done drugs or partied. I eat pretty healthy. People tell me I look younger. I don’t really care anymore. I’ve embraced who I am and I am happy to be aging. Here’s a tip…FAST. I do often and did a four day fast. Read up about it. On the fourth day, there’s hormone growth recovery. Fifth day, cell rejuvenation. Start fasting. Drink water. Exercise. Eat healthy foods with omega 3 oils. Sleep. Don’t stress about life. Enjoy the outdoors. I truly believe fasting is where it’s at.

      Single parent, too. Facelift yoga is very effective for jowls specifically. So is facial acupressure. Jowls are easier to fix. The electronic devices also that he says don't use on the face (and is correct) can and probably should be used on the jowls...like red light therapy. The reason not to on the face is we lose valuable facial fat that holds things in place. But the jowls are different...they are excess that stuff. The exercises (free on UA-cam ) plus acupressure ($19 course I got for facial acupressure) plus a red light/heat device for jowls (100$) is a potent trifecta. However, you probably don't need all three. Start with one.

      Great advice. I'm 65. Just had (today!) a tweaking procedure of my upper Blepharoplasty, lower Blepharoplasty, brow lift. The procedure was just in my upper lids. More skin needed to be removed. So...9 months ago, I opted for ONLY the upper and lower Blepharoplasty and forehead. No facelift, neck, fat transfer, etc. these are all major procedures absolutely is a great idea to do it all at once. However, I did not want to be anesthetized for all of those hours. I'm grateful I did not do it because just the forehead and eyelids plus I had a ptosis repair in my eyelids, which is the muscle that not everybody needs correcting. I did need it. Seems to be some genetic thing in my family. Plus, I cannot afford to do all of that. And my face does not look funny. My eyelids were quite droopy, and it was affecting my vision, so there were other reasons for doing it. I just don't want women to feel like they have to do the entire thing although of course, it makes sense. I wouldn't just do my neck and not do the facelift.

    I’m a 55 year old female - I’m completely sold and contacted your practice very excited thinking I can look 10 years younger however 100k is way over my budget. So it seems only the people who have 100k spare can afford the vertical restore. As a single mum of 3 children it’s difficult for me to have that surplus cash. Your videos and knowledge are amazing and confirm to me that I only want to have you Dr Karam and do not want to go anywhere else for this type of surgery. What can the 90% of your viewers do to look like the people who can afford your procedure ?
    Surely you have packages or some type of plan for the rest of us. You mentioned you average 20-30 patients per month and if we average this out over 12 months this equals approximately 30 million per year in vertical restore sales which is incredible and you deserve very penny for the happiness you make to peoples lives. I want to feel this too and look 10 yeas younger 😃 thank you 🙏 you have done an amazing job and we are all convinced you are the best so now what do we do??? Thanks you Ellen, Manchester, England

If plastic surgeons can adjust their prices, you are going to have much a lots of requests for this. But now, if all these people are close of their retirement they have to think wisely of their finances. At more then sixty years old, you should propose something for this specific clients. My dermatologist has definitely adjusted (lowered) my Botox over the years. Im almost 60. I was disappointed at first because it doesn’t seem to last as long or to provide as much softening.… now I realize more isn’t better.
    I had fillers placed over the years; but agin my derm was very very conservative (subtle) with filler placement and tiny amts over several treatments, over time. I feel fortunate to have found a provider with a good eye for aesthetics.
    Yep, threads were painful and not worth it (different provider) … my one big regret as well as filler in NLF (also not above provider) Bottom line find a provider you trust that understands faces over 50. 😊

    Get on bioidentical hormones as soon as you go through menopause, I did and I noticed the difference right away. I hit menopause like I ran into a wall. Sudden hot flashes, memory fog, lack of energy, and I noticed my lips thinning out and a change to my skin. Doctors in NY & CA are twice if not more expensive than Chicago or your local surgeons Do your research on the Doctor and their reviews and see if they have any lawsuits against them too. Decide wisely. If you opt for out then f town surgeons know that they have accommodations for your recovery before they release you. Which is fantastic.

    • @victoriaaustin7277
      @victoriaaustin7277 4 місяці тому

      I don't think it's fair to assume the prices are indefensible or based in greed. When you consider the rents or mortgages/property taxes of these surgeon's offices in areas like NYC and CA, the salaries of their staff in those areas, the cost of purchasing and maintaining their equipment, cost of utilities, the cost of advertising in these markets, the cost of paying down med school, the cost of ongoing training to keep on top of the latest techniques and, for innovative surgeons, the cost of developing those techniques, the cost of malpractice insurance - even for surgeons who've never once been sued - is astronomical, the costs of the anesthesiologist, the anesthesia, and the OR, which are all beyond the surgeon's control, not to mention compensating for the incredibly restrictive impacts of the SALT cap on these areas, while these price tags are also insanely prohibitive to me, I'm surprised the cost isn't higher. I know how much the bill was for my breast reduction YEARS ago, and that was only the cost AFTER insurance, since that procedure was medically necessary, not cosmetic. My surgeon had offices and hospital privileges in both Manhattan and North Jersey. I had the procedure in NJ, but had I had exactly the same procedure with the same surgeon less than 10 miles away in NYC, I know for a fact that my out of pocket cost would have more than doubled. You simply can't compare surgery costs in CA or NYC to ANYWHERE else in the country and judge them as indefensible for being significantly higher. Their business' operating costs are insanely higher, so naturally, that's reflected in the price tags for these procedures.
