im not understanding what's so impressive about this. shoot some other broad heads into it for comparison and if this is better than those then OK that's solid. otherwise, its an expensive, high quality broadhead that had the tip of it make it through bone. I have a hard time believing a titanium SEVR wouldn't do the same. And I know its expandable but going to fixed blades... a QAD exodus would have no problem doing the same or more
Exactly!!! I don't understand why this broadhead would be better than the Sevr 2.0 robusto or 1.75 Tutanium. They are too expensive for a single use broadhead. Sevr has it beat by far.
@@Practice2Perfection agreed. Im sure the head is great. But at $30 a head with no good way to resharpen or reuse it, I'd refrain from glorifying it for poking the tip through bone while also breaking off one of the blades. Yes, the bone was super thick and heavy but id still not drool over it for that over any other broadhead.
@@andrewburek7607 Did my comment hurt ur feelings? 😪at no point did he say he "wanted to see what that tip did". He made multiple comments about being impressed by the blades with one of the blades completely broken off. I like the guy, he makes great content, this video just wasn't it
To be fair that 650 grain threshold is from a long bow I’m pretty sure with the compound bows we have now it’s probably like 450 or 500 grains or something but definitely not 650
@DBZSTAY the problem was that you are "pretty sure" Doc's testing included compounds. Rob Nielson (the current president of the Ashby Bowhunting Foundation) is repeating all of docs testing. 650gr is still the number. The reason for this is simple. The time of "impulse on target" (how long an object forces on the bone) increases with weight. Heavier objects not only push harder, but longer because of physics. "Objects in motion tend to stay in motion unless acted upon by an equal or opposite force." Therefor, heavier objects require more opposing force to slow or stop completely. Additionally, the 12 factors are like a list. When you have all 12 of them, including an arrow north of 650gr, you now have 1:1odds of breaching heavy bone. Missing any of those factors reduces your odds of breaching heavy bone. For doc's testing, heavy bone is classified as humorous, scapula ridge, spine etc on large animals. Therefor, you CAN breach heavy bone with less mass. It just doesn't happen as frequently. Head over to the Ashby Bowhunting Foundation. They have all of their testing available to anyone free of charge. You will see the comment I made here was accurate. Happy hunting

@PersonalBestOutdoors The Ashby Studies 100%. Just keep in mind fast bow + fast arrow isn't equivalent to deep penetration. I can say a fairly good bow 55 lbs + heavy 650gr arrow will penetration deeper and have less noise which helps not spook wildlife. High FOC means more arch right, well practice more lol
I got a couple sets of these myself. I'm excited to try them out. Pretty much it's going to be on whitetail but hopefully they do the damage they're supposed to from what I've seen
@yourmomma2995 yes, it did break when it was shot into the cinder block, but look at the score in the notes which scores all of the tests. Also, listen to the review that he himself gives. I have heard him on podcasts talk glowingly about the broadhead.

I watched all the testing. Lusk. Blue collar. Chest thumper. The broadhead failed all the test. And for 60 for 2 broadheads. Not worth it for a one and done broadhead. The qad exodus is a great broadhead. I have seen Rage hypodermic no collar do better then the bowmar beast.
You say the broadhead failed all of the tests, but fail to mention that Lusk gives it one of the highest scores of any broadhead he's ever tested. He and Aron Snyder (Kifarucast) both have continuously maintained it is an excellent mechanical broadhead and rate it right behind the Sevr as their favorite and most trusted mechanical heads.
Be more realistic and fair. 90% of people out there dont even use 100 grain inserts for hunting. 95% use 50 grains and 3% use 75grain and 2% use 75 and above.
You still have one more broadhead and only more test? Bowmar claimed you can reuse these broadheads. Do a ballistic jell test to see if it penitrates as far as a sharp broadhead.
Not impressed at all.I think a rage hypodermic would do as well or better and a whole lot cheaper.A good fixed blade would most likely blow right thew.
@timmytim6427 I have seen test done with the rage trypan and hypodermic and they did very well for a mechanical. Most mechanicals are one and done anyways so why waist more money?

How old is that bone? Looked pretty brittle as you chopped it away...? Been outside a while?
Try a iron will and prepare yourself if that impressed u…
Bone breaking threshold is roughly 650 grain arrow and single bevel will help out dramatically.

Kinda sad to be honest the lack of documentation
Grim reapers for life for me
The bone evading technology only works if you evade the bone.
Bone evading works best when they just don’t deploy properly 😅
Oh and ty for getting right to the point 👍🏼
you seem so amazed, have you never seen John Lusks videos where he shoots all heads he tests into a cinder block?
And yet John Lusk still scores it as one of the highest scoring broadheads he's ever tested.
