Looking forward to the video of your trip. Ride safe and enjoy your vacation.
Hey thanks Ayush!
its nice when you can plan, i did 1200miles on a 2004 H-D 883 Custom(1250 kit) chopped and bobbed with 14" apes and a leather spring seat, hard struts, chopped rear fender and front fender delete, tank raise, custom tall sissy bar and a lick and stick P pad.
Sounds like an awesome trip! It made me think of the everglades challenge which I would like to try someday. Good luck, be safe and hope you have a good vacation!
Thanks buddy! What's the Everglades challenge?
ua-cam.com/video/e6tLgJX9niM/v-deo.html - in the first couple minutes they go over it. Essentially it's a 300 mile "race" from tampa bay to the everglades - 300 miles on the water - no motor allowed - sail, row, kayak etc.
The you tube algorithm put this old video in my feed, and I didn't even know you had a Road glide at some point? Nice!
Hell yeah
Looking forward to the trip man!
Hell yeah man!
Good luck with this mate, I am hoping to do one this year too, don't know if the UK does anything for completing it though. Looking forward to the video! :-)
Take a peek at the iron butt association site. I think they have routes in your neck of the woods.
Looking forward to it. I'll be sore for a couple days I'm sure
Mike, I have done two 1000 Ironbutts. One from Nashville to Fla. and return the other we went thru Memphis down Miss. and back to Nash. We left at 4 am so we would not have to ride through the night and risk falling asleep. Your route puts you going through lots of Metro areas and lots of traffic. Should keep to open country less chance of a wreck or tie up on the interstate.
Hey congrats on doing that multiple times!
Sweet I'll be rolling down 95 in couple hours to bike week from jacksonville. I'll wave when you pass.
Hope your ride is going well today. Ride safe.
Thanks for the well wishes! Actually pushed it off til today. Heading out soon.
I use mobile 1 and change the primary with engine every 5000 20/50 both Mobil 1 gear oil every year in spring
I'm heading out your way in the morning wish me luck.👍
The bike looks so cool. Are you going to record the whole 24 hours of the trip? Or maybe record at intervals? Keep the vlogs comming!
Thanks Jess! I'll record in intervals. I don't think the whole thing would be that interesting to watch. Maybe just some highlights of the trip.
Do you wear any:
Levi’s jeans in particular
Leather chaps
Leather biker or greaser jacket??
I wear only assless chaps and a bow tie usually.
Another safety measure for you just in case you loose a receipt right when you get to gas station take a pic of your odometer and receipt together in the same pic and post it on instagram. Turn on the gps for pictures as well. Does not hurt to b supper safe and keep double records also do it on go pro that way you have 2sets of picture proof.
Great tips! Definitely having the GoPro running during the important pieces and other nice things along the way. Will also be sharing my Google location as well. It will track my trip for me based on gps.
Not sure if you recorded this last week, but I hope all went/goes well.
No sir. That ride is tomorrow morning. Appreciate it
You ought to do it on a Forty Eight! Make it an actual challenge LOL
Hell naw! I’ll take this way
Ive been trying to do a week plus trip out West and back but can’t find anyone to tag along. Not big on riding all that way alone. Maybe one of these I’ll get someone that’s interested.
I’ve been on long trips alone and with others. I prefer alone so I can set my own pacing but can appreciate having someone else along if for nothing else but safety.
Mike Branch yeah that’s kinda where my heads at too. I gots couple friends I ride with, but I definitely the early riser outta the bunch. I hate to wait around for hours when it’s time to get going. Having a friend that’s got your back is always good though when you’re on the road.
Doing all three holes yeah you're correct it just don't sound right LOL
All us truck drivers sitting over here like lol.
1000 miles in 24 is easy for us.
Bet you're comfy as all get out too LOL
Eh that depends on the truck. Some of these bikes have gotten more comfy than my truck honestly.
Completely different on a bike.
No AC.
No windows and roof around you.
No seat back to lean on.
Short range (few bikes get much over 200/ 250 miles per tank.)
Exposed to the elements.
Vibration and noise.
Hydration and refreshments are more complicated.
Etc.
I can do 1000 miles in 15 hours or even less in my car. I can't on my bike; not if I want to keep my license.
And i've done many Iron Butts on my bike.
You’re funny man.

I'm watching this content and I'm thinking to myself, how do people afford this kind of stuff. I'm a cop here in Louisiana and don't make the most money but damn, this kind of riding must cost a small fortune. If anyone can help me get in the saddle of another Harley I'd appreciate it. I want a 2018 Street Glide but paying 30K for a bike is a bit much.
I used to own a 2008 Dyna Street Glide but sold it.
Get Honda, better reliability and you can get used starting from 3k
Flint michigan to Bradenton Florida in 24 hours on my 2015 roadglide !!!
That’s a beast of a trip!! I’m thinking of riding to Chicago in August. We’ll see
Ft . Lauderdale to Allentown PA in 20 1/2 hours on my 83 Suzuki 750 ! Last day of 10.000 mile 4 corners tour in 87 ! 😄😄😄😄🍺
Is this Chipper Jones?
Yes.
Great man, that sounds like it will be a blast. Also trying to figure out how I became unsubbed to you,,, but fixed now.
All good brother man. I'm looking forward to a long, fun, frustrating day 😁
Ricky Harvey-- SS1K is not about scenery.
look at this young hip guy 4 yrs ago wtf happened lol
I've done 3 Iron Butt rides, including two rides of 1000 miles in less than 24 hrs, 1 ride of 1500 miles in less than 24 hrs, and an attempt at 3000 miles in less than 48 hrs. These rides aren't for everyone. The lessons learned from me? Gas stops have the ability to waste the most time, especially if you have a small tank (5 gal or less). Interstate highways are the easiest ways due to speed limits. Go on weekdays and/or avoid city areas to cut down on traffic. Last...get on your bike and ride.
The gas stops did kill the most time but I knew I had the time to waste. I think if I was doing a longer ride I wouldn’t have spent so much time in them.
Sounds like a great way to fall asleep riding and have a horrific crash. Thats tough in a car (or semi) let alone on a bike. Oh well, have fun!
Yeah that was the plan. Death by fiery collision. Alas, try as I might, I failed. Here I am 21 months after I made this ride wondering where it all went wrong.
Thank you for the view and comment.
@@UncleBogator …. 🤣
Thanks for video looks like you have perfect bite for it
Wow you missed alot of scenic areas taking 75 what a wasted run
I was on 75 in the dark. I’m sure the dark back roads would’ve been a lot better.
Mike Branch lol. I'm with you. 👍
