Hello, I already know what's coming at me. How did I lose my hair? We'll I didn't lose it all like it appears, I do shave my head every morning. Genetics do play a major role as well as nutrition and lifestyle. There are several causes that can cause hair loss and vitamin D deficiency is a major contributor. I was deficient myself. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a male steroid hormone that binds to receptors in your scalp and is genetically susceptible in men that's responsible for hair loss. It is always a wise idea to know your vitamin D levels if you have any doubts. 😊

That's what happened to me. I take plenty of D3, and I'm still bald. Shaving a head completely bald looks good on most men, even young guys, rather than partially bald, which makes you look much older.

I am a 31 yr old woman and have a high DHT problem because of which i am shedding hair from the roots for yrs now. I do take 5mg of finast to keep it in check and I am already taking a Vitamin D3 60k supplement every month but the hair fall continues, especially if i frequently skip showering my head. Can you do a video about the problem of DHT in women?

There are several suggestions for ways to treat hair loss
Ensure you get sufficient vitamins (A,B6,B12,C, folic acid and biotin all help keep hair healthy)
Apply rosemary essential oil and jojoba oil
Do Not brush your hair too much
Do Not wear tight hats or caps
(I discovered these and why they work from Fearons Loss Fixer website )

Thank you for sharing your knowledge so freely. I'm a nurse & have been for 33 years. Not currently employed due to health & other issues. How I wish I could have known about your holistic approach to treatment. Instead, I believed everything I had been taught by Western medicine. I didn't question the methods. Not for my patients & not for my own health...and I have paid dearly. I came into this world during a time when doctors were small gods & you do what they say. I'm not saying that the system, as a whole, is defective & should be eliminated. I am saying that, as a woman who has suffered, had literally dozens of hospitalizations, 8 surgeries & has literally swallowed whatever concoction Drs wrote for me, I would have lived my life very differently if I'd known then what I know now. Having been on both sides of the exam table, my heart breaks for the patients I thought I was helping by following orders. I didn't know. I simply didn't know. Please forgive my lengthy comment. And, THANK YOU for providing us with this tips & hacks & well, just caring. God bless you, Doc 💛🌼

I was just like you...a nurse for 25+ years and I believed everything the western medical world told me. Nursing is very stressful and that stress took a toll on my health. I was given a lot of medicines by my doctor for my health issues. Instead of feeling better with those medicines, I felt horrible. I thought to myself, “there has got to be a better way”,!! I started researching nutrition, vitamins & other supplements, Ayurveda, and natural approaches to health and wellness. I have been able to ditch all of my prescriptions except one (blood pressure pill) and I feel so much better. My blood pressure has been in the normal range for several months, so I will be ditching that pill too!!! I started a Keto diet....which horrified my doctor.....and my last two CMP, CBC, Lipid Panel, D3 are all NORMAL. I am VERY thankful for Dr. Mandell, Dr. Haider (herbalist), Dr. Berry MD, Dr. Fung MD, Dr. Bosworth MD, and others who take the time to make videos and challenge the antiquated western medical practices which are centered on pharmaceuticals instead of nature.👍

Some vitamins are necessary but a good digestion is all that's required and good fresh vegetables and grass fed beef. Organic where possible but a cup of camomile tea a day and vitamins only if absolutely necessary. Vitamin D is good but research has shown too much can lead to up to 10 yrs earlier death than those who have a lesser intake. This is why I say look after your stomach. Half tsp honey with a shake of cinnamon mix together on spoon and take before sleeping can help liver detox. Also fruit is full of sugar so eat less of it. Blueberries are good and I believe Chinese gooseberries and an avocado mixed together is good.

No need to apologize for lengthy comments. I read these if people take the trouble to write them. I am not a nurse but have always been weak and sickly, needing to see doctors, not knowing what's wrong and how to fix up my health and go, like normal people all seem to be able to do, except me. So I decided that, since I would probably due young, like all my immediate family did, I might as well forget doctors and have a crack at taking responsibility and healing myself, only occasionally seeing a doctor for the odd rare check up, to see how I'm travelling. I am not an alternative medicine freak. I don't take advice from quacks, witch doctors, witches, psychics etc And, if I had a serious medical complaint egcancer, heart problems, I'd use conventional medicine but perhaps supplement it with natural medicine provedbyconventional medical science to work as well as standard medicine and I know from personal experience that some of thesedowork, exceptional well, with no adverse side effects, like normal medications often have, because I rely Ina number of these myself, to deal with minor health and mental health issues. But, I ensure treating doctors are madeaware of whatnatural therapies and medications etc I use, because these can and do sometimes interfere with standard medications, sometimes in a potentially fatal manner. I just started doing my own medical research and experimentation etc and applied this to my own health care only and the results have been great so far. As the weakling inmy family, I have outlived them all and expect to still be around 50 years from now. By living a very simple, frugal, natural, generally in control, moderate life. I basically eat, drink, smokeetc whatever I wish and do as I wish, but try to avoid anything dangerous or too unhealthy and if I simply must do such things occasional, I keep it to a minimum and can quickly stop. Moderation and self control is the secret is mind over matter and knowledge one can trust about what is safe or unsafe, good or bad. Your own body can tell you much, by how it feels about the things you do to it. The rest you can pick up from those who do know eg doctors, nurses etc. Good luck with your journey. I also had a serious Vitamin D deficiency. Igor itliving in Melbourne, working in offices, with so little exposure to the already low degrees of sunshine there and then following advice from Melbourne beauty and skincare beauty counters recover every bit of exposed skin with SPF 50 sunscreen, even though there is hardly ever much sunshine in Melbourne. How I sane is that! I should have known. I only found out when I returned to the bush where I came from and sun shines all the time, too much and a doctor testedmefor Vitamin Deficiency. I wondered why and got a shock when it turned out to be so low. I kept looking in horror at my ghostlypale reflection in the mirror and then discovered also had iron deficiency. So I researched food that contain iron and vitamin D and walked around half-baked in the sun andante all these iron rich foods and was finally able to fix these issues. There is much wecandotohelp ourselves Healthwise but one does need to do one's research carefully and not believe everything you hear from alternative health practitioners.

I'm a retired RN and have worked w geriatric patients for over 30 yrs. My vit D level was 18! I now take 2000 IU w Vitamin K2 and 1000 mcg B12 daily. Started last Dec... joined a gym and work out at least 3 times a week. If anyone reading this has an elderly loved one, ESPECIALLY in a long term care facility, ask the staff to request a vitamin D level for them. Most are hardly ever outdoors and many of the symptoms patients experience that family/friends and staff put down as just due to ' old age', may be a vitamin D deficiency. If they have a diagnosis of osteoporosis, Vitamin K2 should be added to assist calcium to move into bones and teeth. If this helps even one person, I will be glad I took the time to write this.

I went to a Holistic Dr and he says my Vitamin C is way too high and my Vitamin D is way too low among 9 other things he found which I'm under a Dr for some and it's all bad. It made me start to research even more so in order that I could take care of myself more. My hair started falling out in massive clumps about 4-5 years ago out of no where, it was horrifying. I still to this day have it happen to me but not as bad as it used to be. I do feel part of it is hormonal, seeing I am in pre-menopausal. But what I wanted to tell you was when I went to see a "specialist' about it he said, 'nothing is wrong with your hair you have plenty of it and you should be happy about that. You're only losing that much hair because it's going back to normal'. When he said this to me I was in total disbelief. What a jackass Later I had my doctor run some blood tests and it did come back as low vitamin D and iron. I have been taking both consistently for a couple of years now and like I said I still have hair-loss but not like before. And it is devastating as a woman to have your hair coming out like that for the last thing us women need is to go bald, for we already go through enough as it is as we grow older.

I took it and it made me feel wonderful, happy and euphoric. That immediate effect wore off somewhat by the fourth or fifth week but the next time I had my blood pressure taken the bottom number had dropped dramatically. My doctor gave me a high dose prescription for 10 weeks then instructed me to take the over counter version after that. My energy level has increased tremendously and my hair is not shedding so much. My B12 was low too so I'm taking an over counter to increase that now. Bottom line get a bloodwork to check all your levels.

(2) I started massaging my scalp 2 times a week with liitleextra cocoonnion hair oil while bending over & holding my head upside down to allow blood flow to the scalp. (3) Protecting my head while moving out to safeguard my hair from pollution. (4) Using mild shampoo again from liittleextra only to cleanse my hair.

I am using Liitlleextra Cocoonioon shampoo since 5 months now and have gone through 3 bottles so far.
      Pros:
      1. The shampoo feels natural.
      2. Hair feels good after wash, especially if you don’t apply any hair oil.
      3. Yes, hair fall has reduced a lot gradually.
      4. Scalp feels clean and it definitely works on dandruff.
      Cons:
      1. Doesn't produce much lather, so you may need to use a little more product.
      2. When I heavily oil my hair, I find my hair still sticky after the wash, and a little oil can still be felt.

I was always told by my gynecologist For years I was depleted of Vitamin D but didn’t think much of it. One day while discussing diet & health issues a friend of mine offered me some of her prescription vitamin D since she had an abundance..I accepted and I began taking it since I knew I was deficient. Well well well, about the second week I noticed my eyebrows grew back 😃....never knew the connection between vit D & hair. I called police and told them he was on my property without my permission and they asked is he stealing things that u can see, is he damaging ur property or is he being abusive in a threatening manner and i said no but I've told him not to come here and they're response was "sorry we cant do anything about it" I was also told by this doctor who knew the situation that anymore than 1000 iu was very dangerous and only take that amount.....so a lot makes sense now as i was a prisoner inside my home during sunlight hours and out of a night feeding horses in the dark or dusk so the stalker had no reason to be out at those times. I will definitely be increasing my dosage as a 2yr old child would have a thicker pony tail than me!😢

The thing about hairfall to know is - there are several causes and its important to find out the cause of your problem anf fix it accordingly. Vitamin D deficiency, B12, Iron, Protein, Thyroid issues, Excess Androgens leading to pattern baldness(indicating possibly pcos). So look into the causes, it may be one or more of these common causes.

thank you for sharing, I had bought a shampoo/conditioner set that claimed would cause hair regrowth. It did, but it was expensive. When I went to order a new set, it had doubled in price. Not happy, I refused to rebuy at the new price. But I had also noticed that my hair was not falling out like it had been, long after not using the shampoo. After watching this video I am going to say it must be the Vit D3, I have been taking 10,000 IUs for several months. With the virus I have upped the dosage whenever I have been in contact with friends that have been diagnosed. Thankfully, myself and my elderly mother have not gotten sick. I keep encouraging her to take more than she normally does.

jgh Fggh just as I mentioned 10 drops or less, it depends on how sensitive your scalp is, drop them into your shampoo.
I haven’t tried the lavender yet for my conditioner so I can’t be much help there. There’s some HUMS vitamins I purchase from Sephora for hair, skin and nails and I’m seeing a lot of hair growth. Drink water and don’t forget what the Dr. mentioned take your vitamin D.

Liquid drops by Genestra which is 10.000 IU per drop and you will then require 10 drops per day/ I look in the mirror and count the drops. 10,000 IU is what you should start with and one week a month add K-2 for a week. Stinging nettle is always good for hair fall and hair growth as well. I've only drank the tea, cannot vouche for the supplements. Maybe check the reviews before purchasing. Which b3 are you taking? Hair loss also comes from iodine deficiency. Which is so important for the health of our thyroid and glands.

    • @margaretstewart7404
      @margaretstewart7404 3 роки тому +2

In working with 100’s of different people my findings were hair loss in women can be from four things:
      1. THYROID ISSUES
(iodine can usually fix it if it’s Thyroid but not always)
      2. ANEMIA
( usually they need iron or vitamin B 6 & 12 but there can be lots of different things causing Anemia too. Lack of Vitamin E, C and Zinc can cause red blood cells to not stay alive.
Hyponatremia aka Low Blood Sodium levels can cause there not to be enough blood volume.
      3. VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY
most people in today’s world don’t get enough Vitamin D3 so it’s actually a good place to start unless you know they have or can see signs of one of these other issues.
      4. HORMONAL ISSUES
Hormones are so very important in the hairs health. Hormones being off can cause hair to grow every where else on you body but keep falling out on your head. Technically Thyroid issues also falls under hormonal issues because it’s a gland and it’s the lack of it’s hormones that cause your hair to fall out, but because there’s so many people with thyroid issues I made it a separate category. Adrenal issues can be another reason people’s hair falls out your adrenals are responsible for so many hormones in your body. In fact a lot of people with thyroid issues when taking iodine doesn’t fix it actually have adrenal issues causing their thyroid issues. If you’re under to much stress your cortisol levels cause your thyroid to convert T4 into negative or reverse T3 instead of positive T3 that your body can use. This is often seen in clients with Hashimoto’s disease and goiters.
