    I take a spoonful of coconut oil with a meal before I ingest my Vit D and K2. Don't forget to follow up with magnesium too.

      Yes Vitamin D3 should be taken with fat and also with Vitamin K2.

    Thank you Dr. Mandel. My wife takes vitamin D as part of her post radiation treatment. I have shared this information with her so that she can get better absorption of the vitamin.

    Thank you doctor Mandel I have been taking my vitamin D. wrong For the past 4 years ,I take 10,000International units a day And my levels have been not as high as I would hope,I will correctly take my vitamin D. always with A meal Not on an empty stomach As I have been Most of the time You are definitely god sent Thank you again for every single thing you do

    I've been on vitamin D for YEARS! Every time I get blood work, my vitamin D levels are low and my dosages get increased. I take mine at night with water most times. This video sounds like a plausible explanation for my situation and why my levels are always low, even though I take supplements daily.

      My vitamin D was low and I was taking vitamin D along with K2. So I started taking it under the tongue. Now my levels are great. Go figure.

    I do take Vit D supplement and in fact, I take Vit C and Zinc all 3 immediately after Dinner. I got in the habit of taking them this way and I haven't been sick this winter. Thank you DrMandell! As always, great information!❤

      @ssaini5028 I do have good habits and very good hygiene in addition to taking my vitamins. Plus I don't eat alot of junk food, none really. Past two years (in winter) I was sick twice in both years, and two of those I was very sick.

      Zinc should be taken at least half an hour BEFORE you eat. It is written on the packaging of my supplements (it is Zinc + Vitamin C)

    Thank you Dr. Mandell for this valuable information. I take my Vitamin D3 after I eat my dinner with Magnesium Citrate. I am trying to build up my bone mineral with food and vitamins rather than Big Pharmer's poison. You are the best Doc. ❤😊

      You also have to have K2 in the D3 for proper absorption.

      I heard Dr. Mandell say that magnesium glycinate was the best magnesium to take. Just putting that out.

      @@laurab2637 It is Laura, but for osteoporosis magnesium citrate is the one to take. Ask your doctor. Even Dr. Mandell refers it to build the minerals in your bones. Different magnesium is for different purposes fir your body. I have also done my homework.

    drink: 1 tsp turmeric,pepper with 1/2 C warm water, tsp. olive oil.
    eat: two brazil nuts, couple almonds.
    Then take morning vitamins including vit D.
    That was first meal around lunchtime, will keep you satiated until dinner. Not expensive and easy on your system (I think??)

      Omega 3 fats from those nuts are perfect with your drink and vitamins. A little magical meal to hold you over. Body gets to absorb the vitamins b4 you even eat too. This is great.

    Oh my God thank you I learned something new today. You cannot take vitamin D with water. You need to take it with food and I’ve been my vitamin D is so dangerously low. I told him to give me intervenous vitamin D. They want me to start taking vitamin D over-the-counter so I will but with food thank you very much Dr. Mandel this is why you’re one of my favorites.

    Vitamin D helps with the thyroid hormone T4 exchange to T3. Viit D and the T3 attach together then enters through an antenna on each and every cell in the body. That antenna must have Zinc in order to pull the T3 and Vit D in to the cells. Once in the cell the Vit D provides the energy for the cell to operate and the T3 controls how fast the cells metabolize.
    Zinc is the most important mineral in our bodies because with out it the the Vit D and T3 cannot enter the cells.

    Last summer I stopped supplementing Vitamin D in favor of sunshine alone --- I rode a bicycle an hour a day 5X week, and my D levels plummeted by 50%.

    I use 4 Sprays D3, plus Zinc, C and B complex pills in the morning. 1 iron and 1 omega 3 at lunch. 1 liver supplement at bedtime.
    Keeps me going❤

    Easy peasy, been doing this for over a decade: VitD3(15-20kIU) + K(2,4,7) + Omega 3-6-9
    And last year I've added an omega from krill, just to boost the animal based omega.
    And as a super stacker with my nootropics, GlyNAC.

    I was put on Colecalciferol d3 tablet 800iu a day, after watching one of your Vitamin d videos, i now doubled it to 1600iu with Cod liver oil and magnesium glycinate all 3 of them in the morning and with a boiled egg

    Dear Dr. Mandell, how much should the Vitamin D value be? I suffer all my life from depression and to my mind 30 is much too low (my doc said, it's enough). Someone told me I should try to get up to 60-70. I'd really appreciate your opinion!

    I think you forgot to say that *vitamin D3* should be taken with *vitamin K2* (*MK-7* if supplement)
    Please avoid calcium buildup and always take Vitamin D3 with Vitamin K2

    So correct, Dr. Take those fat soluble vitamins with meals, preferably ones that are the highest in fat. Actually, all vitamins taken with meals cause less of stomach upsets, etc. Foods high in vitamins, minerals, etc, still of utmost importance still..👍😊🌿

    Thank you Doctor. My doctor never told me not to take with water or how to take it. For over four years i was alwayes taking it with water. So it was waste. I will take it with olive oil from now on. Thank you again. God bless you.

    WOW!! I did not know this. And ive been taken A and D for years with my levothyroxine every morning an hour before eat. Because the doctor said to take my levothyroxine on an empty stomach. Well, now i know. Thank you for the information. I'll take them with my breakfast 😋
