There are some characters that are tricky to level after certain points in the game (avoiding spoilers, you have to go back to certain acts and it can add a lot of extra time to maxing them out). It's also interesting which characters you can romance with/without breaking your Veiled Vow with other partners. Finally there are some characters that have special items if you finish their Bond Mission quest chains (like the -1 set requirement accessory).

The rest is just dialogue of "you're really special to me" or "I need to see you again" and some rewards I don't use, like for the accessory slots.

can you try to figure out anything about the dog or is it just random the stuff that you get because it doesn’t seem to be very good but why put it in the game. i just think there might be something interesting there but i don’t think people will make videos on it
@@PatrickHD You oftentimes get special items to give to the characters to increase your bond with them, so long as you spend 3,000 or greater. You also get Silver Coins, which are a more valuable currency than standard money.

There are SO many weapons that drop and really it's just random rolls like in a looter shooter or something - there aren't really specific named weapons like in Dark Souls or Elden Ring. Best advice is to find the black marketeers. They will sell you gear with a particular gear set bonus at whatever your max gear level is, at any point.
@@patrickv1080 I cannot tell you firsthand, but I cannot imagine they have that mechanic and you can't use it to spare Gonzo. But also you get so many allies that you don't really need to lose sleep over Gonzo, unless you use the ōdachi.

You select two companions to go with you on missions that occur in a specific area, they're usually like infiltrations or objective based, and they're pretty fun.
You have to do the missions involving Yukichi Fukuzawa, and you get that fighting style after doing the second one on the Black Ship, because Yasusuke Sawamure accompanies you. From there, if you want to level up those styles, you'd need to take Yasusuke on as many missions as possible. I believe the Ninja Gaiden styles never have a style advantage though, they are just the fastest hitting.
@@cartoonvideos5 That's per Fextralife I think, I personally haven't used them because I have the ones I showcased in the video, along with ones you get for preordering or with the physical edition.
I really couldn't tell you, but it's the crimson one. There's a crimson version of each weapon type. Obviously if you clear the map, you'll get it at some point 😅 wish I could give you more.
I think some allies' bond progress bar just moves more quickly than others. Matthew Perry's bond seems to progress much more quickly than those in the anti-shogunate "boys club", for instance.
I did 4 or 5 fights with some of them and the bar did not move at all. Jules did not even break through to level 2 after several fights. He is sitting at one tenth of a bar to go and it is not moving for example. Perry stopped at the n in "bond" and has not moved at all in several victories.
@@tsubject1316 You only get the bar to move once based on the rank you get. Training over and over with them does nothing. You just need to get Master one time to get the max progression you can get from the dojo.
It comes with the insert in the physical box or you can take Sawamura on missions to get it. Make sure you do the missions Cultural Exchange and In Search of New Science.
@@Jp-qq9ny Yeah just do the main missions and after Cultural Exchange do In Search of New Knowledge and Chopped Liver. Then get Master against Fukuzawa in the dojo and give him however many gifts is needed to max.
If you just started, you can restart, but otherwise, you get so many other allies that it's probably fine. If you plan on using the ōdachi though, you're kinda cooked :/
I made the mistake of taking fightincowboys review as gospel and listened to all the other similar reviews. After watching gamebreakergod play tho I knew the game had depth and was worth picking up. So far I don’t regret my purchase, in fact I get ninja gaiden vibes from the difficulty lol 😂 I’m loving it
