Fortunately I killed him first encounter and much later on when I was in Chapter 3 I saw someone post about how to get him as an ally so I used Testament to go back and spare him etc. So got him as an ally. Then went to train with him and got the martial art skill. It's a nice style but what I don't like about it is it's a Shinobe style and I don't care to much to use them because of their "Ineffective" status.
Ahhhh I appreciate it and yeah it sucks that it’s inefficient against most but I use the shurikens and clones to stay at a distance and I added the cardinal rend skill to it. The best one for matchups to me is tatsumi bc the parries are OP
So I fought the red demon yesterday and killed him to get the sword style but upon replaying the mission right after completing it I still had the sword style but when I beat the two demons it went straight back to my longhouse and didn’t give me a chance to choose again. Do I have to progress a bit further before changing time?

It’s an end game style..so if you killed nasuke li you get the style but it’ll stay at novice until you go get to chapter 3. Once you are there you will want to do immediately do the testament of the souls and replay the sakurada gate incident again but this time spare him and then make sure that you apply it to your timeline. Once that’s done you can do the blue demons bond quest and you’ll have a chance upgrade the gikei ryu style
I’m gonna try that and let y’all know how it worked . I also can’t make ryoma fall for me lol . I’m not veiled with anyone I get all the meters full then the yellow one goes back down . I’m on midnight runthru second region .
@@knockknockx4109 wait that might be the problem! If you have midnight you’re past chapter 3! From what I heard if you don’t do the steps before chapter 3 it won’t work? That’s what I read in a couple of places
You have to master Gikei-Ryu combat style just go back and keep training until you master it. If you look at the moves list under that style and then hover over the shadow move itll tell you that its upgradeable. Hope this helps.

@@BostonDaLamb I tried Tatsumi before but I found it didn't do much damage so I parked it.
I went back and spared him and was able to train with him but didn’t receive anything
The whole point of shinobi techniques is that they dark a lot of ki damage from counter sparks

You get the sword style for changing the timeline. There are more steps after that. Like training with blue demon.

Yes correct! Watchmen is where it starts then follow the parts in the vid to find him and train with him!

Yes but make sure you find him as I showed in chapter 3 or you won’t be able to train with him.
