I love his first line; "Scotland. This nation brought the world television, the steam engine, golf, whisky, penicillin and, of course, the deep fried Mars bar." Brilliant words of wisdom.
Brilliant, brilliant opening scene. It set the tone for the entire film, and I chuckled quite a bit, especially at the part with the kid n his yellow balloon. Lol.
Some of the stuff this man does throughout the film is unthinkable, but the quality of McAvoy's acting skills makes you genuinely feel bad for him by the end of the movie
I'll send you the book if you like. There's a sort of sequel focused on Lennox in Miami. Bruce is played impeccably by James... Especially when he's in the florist... Thats his real life sister... The blonde. The only thing I wished they included was the weird tapeworm subplot of the book. Basically a tapeworm gains sentience and starts narrating... Like it cuts through the page and all... Its mental... But you do see flashes of it in the film.
Scotland. This nation brought the world television, the steam engine, golf, whisky, penicillin and, of course, the deep fried Mars bar. It is great being Scottish. We're such a uniquely successful race. And as my wife Carole always says, “There's no place like home. "
I had this one girlfriend a while ago. She was scottish. She claimed James McAvoy couldn't do a scottish accent very well. She had no idea just where the man hails from

That deep fried mars bar line 😂😂
Read the book
He forgot Grand Theft Auto. It’s development studio is based in Scotland.
he is crazier in this movie than in Split
That's kinda true
My favorite film of all time and its so underrated
shite being scottish ))))
Seen Trainspotting
Yeah it's a good movie, but the story is very [SPOILER ALERT] Fightclub lookalike, especially for the twist.
Same rules apply...
Cipyaar it’s not my favourite film but I agree definitely underrated
Trainspotting - It’s shite being Scottish
Filth - It’s great being Scottish

James mcavoy is just absolutely brilliant in this, he's one of the best actors In the world without a doubt
Scotland.
This nation brought the world
television, the steam engine, golf,
whisky, penicillin and, of
course, the deep fried Mars bar.
It is great being Scottish. We're
such a uniquely successful race.
And as my wife Carole always says,
“There's no place like home. "
Apparently Bruce likes to change his outfit between the walk to work and the time he actually gets there.
Yes but he was wearing a different shirt and tie on the walk than in the station
When he takes the newspaper it's a different time than when he's with the kid
Wonder what Mark Renton would have to say about this.😂😂
exactly what i was thinking
EY SHITE BEIN SCOTTISH!!!
Mirror of Society WUR TAE LOWEST OF TAE FUCKIN LOW
Begbie & Spud are mentioned in the novel of this movie.
@@leegsy indeed and it's a damn good novel at that 👌
Damn,professor x. Chill
Darker and edgier X-Men reboot looks great.
I've never seen a character emphasize exactly the way I feel right now better than this scene.
But nobody plays the games like me.

Is this the most accurate and factual documentary about Scotland that's available out there?
Great film, loved it
I was at the dentist today for some hardcore work. This intro/music was my meditation to handle the pain. Am I going insane?
Love James, next level in talent
The one thumb down, same rules apply.

Then ya pushed him off!!
The one thumb up
Love you dude👏👏👏👏👏👏
Wonderful.
I had never heard of deep fried mars bars before this scene
Billy butcher vibes
The boys would have been so different if billy was occasionally interrupted by a V infested tapeworm
This was Britain`s BAD LIEUTENANT movie
This guy is one intensely talented actor 👍
And now Scotland has given us yet another sexbomb. I just can't stop imagining Mr. Tumnus saying this while walking
Eloísa García 😂
I had this one girlfriend a while ago. She was scottish. She claimed James McAvoy couldn't do a scottish accent very well. She had no idea just where the man hails from
And of course, the deep-fried Mars bar
Brill film
the music is good
so thats where Andy Murray comes from
There's no place like home ;)
Please read the book first. It has so much more information about Bruce.. he’s being tormented by a worm in his stomach.
Way to make the kid cry. Poor kid is going through child therapy now
Child services
Your the reason. I almost went into social services. That was too close
We should normalize disrespecting kids when they disrespect adults.
Good guy
Robbo!
The film is decent, but this is a great character intro
#Proud to be scottish
TheMorbulut That's Mark Rentons quote, and Bruce Robertson not agree with him 0:17

+Maershkin Schrabs Far too anglicised now? Since when..?
Maershkin Schrabs Same here in Ireland, some bits of the culture are still alive and well but unfortunately you can't change the past
ENOUGH OF THE FAMILY PHISSSS
TV was invented by a Russian scientist in Us - Zvarykin
No it wasn't... it was invented by John Logie Baird.
