The laugh track is terrifying and gives a feeling of purgatory.
TorTorTalks I’ve been an audience member at tonight shows, and the screening process to attend is the closest feeling to joining a cult I’ve ever had.
Edit: the shitty way the laughs are edited in here makes it worse. It’s like they’re zooming by in a sport car.
Sound guy moves mic’ focus between the subjects mics to the audience’s mics and back again to keep the sources clear and uncluttered.
It’s the UK. Hardly any non-American studios use laughtracks. Maybe he’s not doing it seemlessly and subtly enough for you without you experiencing an audio version of ‘uncanny valley’.
If you’re unhappy about laughtracks, blame cheap American shows for poisoning you with them. But this isn’t one of them.
It's NOT a laugh track. There IS a live studio audience there. The laughs ARE real. The reason it sounds odd at times is because the audience microphones have a strong/fast Gate applied to them (a setting on any modern studio mixing board). This keeps the stage audio "cleaner" so the broadcast isn't awash in audience mutterings, conversations, chatter, rumblings, etc. The gate keeps the audience mics 'silenced' until a certain level of decibels it breached... then it opens quickly to essentially turn 'on' the mics... so suddenly you hear a rush of laughter. Once the laughs die down, the gate is set to a closure speed at a certain decibel level, so the gate closes. This one sounds pretty fast in places, but it depends on how fast the audience quiets down. That gate is just waiting to close... sometimes it closes like a guillotine near the beginning of this clip. As minutes go on, and the audio engineers get the feel of the laughs, they seem to relax the gate and soften it's closure (release time). So the audience noise fades out in 2 seconds, rather than 100 milliseconds.
@@abandoned-mines-novascotia Ah, I see you're a man of culture, as well!
@Ryan Cier Same here. The reason it disturbs me the most is that most laughing tracks are of people who are now deceased. You are listening to dead people laugh.

@@theelusivedillinger I'm of a completely different opinion. You were responsible for many things, but certainly not for starving German children. The Germans themselves were responsible for that. In Germany, children went hungry during World War I and a few years after that war. The Germans were responsible for this war and the famine caused by this war because they had to answer for this war with Austria together.
By the way, I'm Pole and have an aversion to both nations. Poles had to starve because of the Germans in World War I and after this war. Even worse in WWII. Whereby to starve was the most harmless thing that Poles can accuse the Germans of.
Besides, the nation of the star of david did not have a single monopoly in Germany. 600,000 of them in Germany didn't have that much power at all. The Germans were responsible for their country and their government. in the 20s as well as in the 30s.
It is clear that the Jews were the victims of the Germans and not the other way around. But just because they were victims doesn't mean that they have the right to do wrong themselves, but they do.
I said one should use facts, but the facts should be correct.
@@theelusivedillinger Incidentally, I use the synonym "nation of the star of david" because there is a considerable pro-Jewish censorship here. And my comment with the usual name for this nation has been censored. Such a harmless sentence in this text J...."the nation of the star of david" did not have a single monopoly in Germany" ... which is actually positive for her is automatically deleted because the sentence contains the word monopoly!
But surprisingly one can use the term pro-Jewish censorship. Absurd and evil censorship. By the way, UA-cam is American.
one of the best interviews ever!
There was an actor he worked with that said.." He is the Chaplin of our time" The guy is a genius
He's one of a kind! I hope he keeps on holding up the mirror to expose our sometimes crazy levels of ridiculousness. Satire and caricature are some of the best tools we have for that.
I agree but his kind of comedy is well on the way to being "cancelled".
Search for "Andy Kaufman". SBC is brilliant, but his act owes everything to Andy Kaufman.
@@blackmore4 weirdly supported by Sacha himself
@@jimmyfaulkner5746 Really? Sad, he seems too bright for woke gobbledegook.
Little Britain is also good. Would not be allowed today..
His sense of humor is something else. No borders, but really no borders
Is this show still on telly??
@@tracymuckle8512 naw, yae can find it on streaming services tho
@@Mr_Makina Thanks
Fucking love it mate
Rumours are that ITV are planning on ditching the show after it's run in 2020 due to the declining viewership, especially when compared with shows like The Graham Norton Show.
Love Sacha- one of the funniest ppl in the world!!😂😂
Finally, I know from where he picked up the accent for King Juliene. Fantastic!! I am an Indian!
„Am i white ladies, am i white?“ sorry couldn’t held myself

@@barcrafty817 ....is that an ERB reference?
Holy shit this is the first time I’ve seen him as himself it is NOT what I expected
Not that 😂😂
Every single interview and every single award show he's been himself ..this is like the 300th video where he's been himself
Watch him in front of governments as he calls for silencing others free speech after he got all he could out of his. SBC is a joke
No shit, ugly bison
Check out the Comedian Round Table interview he did with one of his heroes Jim Carey. There was also Don Cheadle, but I forget who the rest were. What I remember is that it was a tremendously great interview for everyone there and Sacha basically opened up to Jim.
Such a talent, incredible
