There's one where the guy is really tall, and the decoy is talking to him, and he sort of tuned it all out. then he gets up and sort of creeps on her, and she has to retreat to the back room where Chris intercepts. It's one of those moments you realize, some stupid girl was going to have a very unfortunate and scaring incident. This series is hilarious, but also horrifying....

I miss To Catch A Predator ! Even though it was a serious show about a serious problem, I found it to be one of the funniest shows on TV when Chris would interview these people and announce who he was.
Tbh, I'm glad the show is gone. The reason the show was canceled was because they caused a dude (who may not have even been an actual predator, to end himself.

Also a mother of 3 girls and a survivor as well! Honestly, my oldest will be starting school next year and I'm severely anxious about it! Not just "Oh my oldest is starting SCHOOL!" But from what I know can happen. I know it is unlikely something will (one of her aunts works there and she will have a couple of cousins at the school too but different classes) but I cant help it >_< The only thing I can think to do is to teach her "good/bad touch" (age appropriately of course) and keep open communication. Any tips?
Same here. I was sexually abused by men. One of them was a babysitter and he abused my friends in the neighborhood too. If I had children I wouldn't trust anyone around them either.

I don't have kids of my own, but I have been a victim and the scary thing is, unless I had spoken up - which I didn't - in retrospect, there were very few red flags. My sister, who's only two years older than me, said many years later she thought about the guy randomly and went "... Wait a second..." and then it clicked for her that he was being a perv, but no one else had any idea (FWIW, my parents and his mother now know). I think part of what happened in my case is when you think about people who are a threat to your children, rarely do you think about other minors (in my case a 15/16 YO boy - I guess on that because I'm pretty sure when it stopped was around the time he got his driver's licence and wasn't around much after that).

I remember being on a chat room called ICQ and having dudes sending me photos- would take half the day to load. Then I would use the Paint app and draw boogers, missing teeth, fart clouds etc on their pic and send it back. I was 10 years old and had NO IDEA that they were most likely a bunch of rock spiders.
I played alot of online games and got groomed alot amd sexuakly assaulted as a child.

Thankfully a pastor in Canada who worked on a task force against sexual predators was able to contact our dad and the authorities and inform them of what he found. And that really, really sucks, and it _does_ deserve some sympathy. But you know what? As a parent too, this shit is heartbreaking because so many children are groomed and are too young to realise. Sadly my child was one, but not online. Protect your children, mine was in her father's care when she was taken advantage of by others and she'll suffer for the rest of her life for these despicable creatures. Thank you for letting others see these sorts of cretins.
As a child that lived through this (raped and molested from 5-7) I just wanted to say, I am a stronger person for what I went through. It does not define me. Sure I may act or think differently then someone who didnt have my experiences, but I am who I am today from growing from those. I am 27 and have 3 daughters myself. I am able to keep them safe in ways I wont have known about before. I am more empathetic to people than I would have been other wise. Heck, I might not even have my kids today, I'd be a completely different person! Yes I do have PTSD anxiety and depression that I've had all my life due to what happened. BUT! Part of how bad those got was because I did not have the right support growing up. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TALK ABOUT IT! That hurt me the most growing up, feeling like I couldnt talk about it or that family members were pretending it didnt happen. TALKING about helped me so much! I DO NOT have nightmares, day terrors, as many anxiety attacks, I'm not suicidal anymore, ALOT of my PTSD symptoms have calmed down! Not to say itll ever be "gone", but its ALOT better! My first step in healing from was fully accepting that what happened wasnt my fault at all. Sometimes that can take years, and just telling the person "it wasnt your fault" doesnt always work. Repeatedly, sometimes, but they have to believe it themselves. I also changed "my narrative". What I mean is, instead of saying "I'm a victim of XYZ" I say "I'm a SURVIVOR of XYZ!" After saying that out loud a few times, it does wonders! Hope this helps in some way! Sorry if it's a little off topic at points 😅 (I also have ADD but that's from genetics)
