Fun fact for you guys: The reason TCAP always asks the creeps to bring specific things (candy, alcohol, food, condoms, ect.) is because it helps to prove intent, and to prove that they were the same person the decoy was talking to. That way they can't use the excuse of "oh that wasn't me! Someone else used my computer!" or "I was just coming here to say hi!" because if it wasn't them and if they had no intentions beyond "stopping by" why would they bring the exact things the decoy asked for?
It really helps nail their creepy asses in court :)
I assume the reason the decoys never touch anything is to prevent their fingerprints from getting on the items.

Can’t speak for this episode, but I know at one point people in the neighborhood of the house they set up in started protesting and making everybody aware of the sting operations going on in the home. They were upset that they were bringing predators into their safe neighborhood, and wanted Chris and the team to leave. Which is ridiculous since TCAP was literally there to take these guys off the streets. It’s not like these creeps were waltzing into other homes in the neighborhood after meeting the cops.

I can understand it to some extent that you wouldn't want them to "attract" those people. Because they're giving out the address, image those guys show up a day before when there are no cops and run across your child on the street... I get both sides of the argument

My conspiracy theory is that this guy was acting as a martyr for the other pedophiles in the area. Because I think at the beginning they said he was the one who told the other dudes about what what happening…and maybe the logic was “well if someone shows up and gets caught, then Chris will leave and move on.” Like in the chats, this guy kept it very vague and he even had a pre-written statement of innocence ready!
I’ve been watching tcap for years and never thought of that! But if they knew it was a sting, why would they want to check it out instead of just moving on?

As a 24 year old female who looks like I’m still 12-13..these creeps are the reason I carry pepper spray, a knife, and a taser on me at all times and lock my car door the second I get in it. It sucks not being able to go anywhere and not feel 100% safe

@throwaway3873 It is not entrapment for several reasons, but mainly because the decoys never interact with the predators first. The predators always initiate contact first. The decoys never bring up anything sexual either. That's 100% the predators' doing.

I joked with a coworker about how it's strange that I've never been an organized person and hate cleaning, yet at work I get in trouble for cleaning too much. Weeks later my boyfriend's mother (who is my landlord) started bugging me saying I was 'bragging about not cleaning my apartment' and if she ever walked in (unannounced and without 24 hrs notice by the way) and it was a mess she would have us evicted. 😂 Make one joke at work to a coworker and my landlord is threatening me with eviction. Even the people you think are your friends will attempt to throw you under the bus, at that rate it is completely foolish to trust a complete stranger with anything whatsoever. I can't trust my own friends, so am I going to risk putting my trust in a stranger? Hell no. Be rude, if necessary. Don't put your well-being or health at risk because you let your guard down and trusted a stranger.

I’m not sure if this was when the neighbors protested for TCAP to leave or not, but that happened once. Their whole operation was blown, because all the creeps were tipped off. I can understand the community not wanting the creeps in their neighborhood, but it’s not like they’re going to come back. I doubt a predator is going to come back there. Especially after knowing the police, and cameras were there, and could still be.

that is my point. None of them ever even TRY to contact the minor's parents, they just show up to smash! they only talk about mentoring once they got caught.
a decent guy would never have chatted up a minor online in the first place, because the decoy never starts it, and always tell them the age, it is always a predator. so they see a victim , not a person in need of a friend or help. that only comes up after they are caught.
