I have the answer to the entrapment issue. The Perverted Justice decoys never made the first move. They went into the chat rooms, but the predators initiated the contact, which is how they avoided the appearance of entrapment. Edit: Thanks for the likes everyone. I really didn't expect this to blow up. I listened to Chris Hansen's podcast for over 33,000 minutes this year.
@@brandon737 also if the cop makes it a life or death scenario to sell them drugs it’s entrapment. There was a case where a man sold an undercover cop a prescription drug because the cop said he’d die if he could get it. That man was charged but eventually got off because he wouldn’t have done it if it wasn’t a life or death scenario.
@@brandon737 Thanks for the input btw, I also believe in cases like this that it wouldn't be entrapment when most of these guys are reaching out to these "children." I believe that's the case and not someone seducing and forcing them to a specific location to incriminate them
@@tomkuz_ I can only think of maybe one case in TCAP (before the Texas sting) that the guy walked due to the entrapment issue, it was the library card guy.
@@brandon737 That's also probably why they said that police were conducting parallel investigations. If PJ/NBC weren't careful, the suspects could've successfully argued in court that they were victims of entrapment.
As someone who has been groomed and assaulted, these videos give me a sense of justice. Even though none of my assailants had any repercussions, knowing that people are getting caught and charged helps me process my own experiences.
Sucks that he went through abuse as a kid but him turning and abusing others was a choice he could have prevented. Myself and plenty of other survivors know you don't inflict the same pain you felt onto others Edit: To everyone sharing their stories in the replies, thank you. I hope you are finding ways to heal. It's never too late to seek help and you all deserve a chance at happiness.
So many of them say that "they can't help it" which is a total bullshit and no excuse. If they can't control their behavior then they 100% deserve to be locked in some sort of asylum. It also looks like they don't even try to stop themselves. Not every victim has to become abusive, it's not a rule.
Agreed long list of child abuse and sexual abuse and I couldn't imagine making anyone go threw the pain I went threw. I can tell u if anyone did that to my children I'd be in jail for murder.
He's just paying the consequences for his actions. Obviously through his own decisions he went down the path he did rather than being a force of good to speak out and help others that were, or could be future, victims. People like that need to be put in front of a psychologist immediately to help them with the trauma, and people just need to be instilled with moral values that are against that kind of behavior
But it does suck that his life ended up that way, I wouldn't want something like that to happen to anybody and so for him to do it to others just means that he needs to be brought to justice as he was thankfully. After all this time.
Also I'm sorry to hear about your situation too and applaud your ability to speak up on your past trauma. It seems like you've at least grown to be a strong and kind individual (even to someone that attributed their victimized past and projected that onto others)
Did nobody notice how this creep didn’t even say anything, and just tried to quickly follow the kid up the stairs? One of the scariest people they’ve caught yet imo
He was already a convicted sexual assaulter and rapist. He was heading up there to rape who he thought was a small child. I hope he meets an untimely end in prison.
yess and he got 75 years (at 48 mind you) and he fought it and got it reduced to 50 but that still means he’s not getting out until hes 98 or 99 (in a little more than 30 years) if he makes it that long!
About the “entrapment issue”. For one, the decoys are never the ones to initiate contact. It’s always the predator that starts conversation online with, what they think, is a minor. Second, when you look at the chat logs, it’s also always the predator that stays dominant. The decoys NEVER lure or flat out flirts with the predator. (Made up example): Pred: “I really wanna do this and this and this” Decoy: “I’m not sure, I’ve never done that before..” Pred: “Don’t worry I’ll teach you” etc etc. The decoys never use vulgar or sexual language! I have seen cases here on UA-cam, where a creator is accused of predatory behavior. And then you find out that someone tricked them into it by 1) Initiating contact and sexual language/behavior, and 2) either lie to the audience about their age, or lie to the “predator” by saying they are over 18. And then of course we have all the screenshots and chat logs taken out of context etc. THAT would be entrapment. This is not.
I've even seen cases thrown out of court because the cops who are supposed to be posing as teens have the full chat with the dude and then say "oh, by the way, I'm 13/14/15," after they show up.The decoys in PJ actually did a good job for volunteers. Another thing worth noting is that only a law enforcement officer can technically commit "entrapment," so that wouldn't apply anyway.
Bullshit. One of reasons behind show cancellation was way they trapped predators (suicide of prosecutor was just tipping point on mountain of falling views and legal problems) They often started conversations and enticed predators, they never shown real transcripts or shown only few matching legal way of doing things, friendly reminder they shown only few predators while they said each sting operation got about 40 visits, they shown only few done right. You ever wondered why most predators from show walked free in the end? That's why. It was wrong way of doing sting operations and it was entrapment so most walked free and those locked up had much more behind ears or foolishly admitted to everything. In my country sting operations like they did for show are illegal, in fact recently whole group was jailed for that. As for show it was later confirmed by stuff that showeruners would do anything for views and no one cared about kids or capturing predators. One of key members of that predator hunting group we see often in show as bait works in tweeter now and is openly supporting pedophilia by advertising and supporting 'cuties' those were the garbage people that worked on that show. Any good they did was purely coincidental and byproduct of trying to earn that sweet views to keep money flowing.
@@MyNameIsUnavailable Oh well my mistake. I was not expecting you to have been serious because of all the people that don't know proper grammar. @@juniper1350 its pretty clear what he is trying to say. a victim can become an abuser and being a victim in the past does not excuse becoming an abuser
That's why there has to be more consequences for people like this, it perpetuates the cycle and makes more monsters that ultimately spread the behavior to the next generation.
It's sad that he went through so much trauma. The system and his parents failed him. It's a shame he turned out this way, but he is responsible for his actions.
Regarding the Lawyer that killed himself, he's a District Attorney and is a known lawyer and a politician in his County. He got many connections and he's a single man (no wife) and his only family is his sister. In the chatroom or chatlogs, the lawyer posed as a 21 or something years old man and he did contact the decoy but did not show up in the house itself. After many days, the police turn up in his yard bringing SWAT and camera crews from TCAP. They busted into the house and see the Lawyer holding a gun and shout to them "I don't want to hurt any of you man" and then shot himself in the temple killing him. After the said altercation, they found the computer still running which they found out that the said Lawyer has been investigating cases connected to "child abuse" and "pedophilia" (I think?). Also, they found child pornography in the house. Even the camera crew catches all that on camera. Lastly, the family of the said lawyer filed a lawsuit against the show and NBC in which they won the legal battle. (I think that's the reason why the show was stopped since the legal battle is costly and the controversy they were facing is immense). PS: The Police have many loopholes prior to the conducting of the said raid. You can search it to find out the discrepancies of the Police Department involved in the said raid.
@@gargwinvinesnake6961 They ended up having a search warrant signed by a Judge. They knew Conradt was trying to destroy evidence, so they decided to break down the door and they found him in one of the hallways with a gun, and he said "I don't want to hurt anybody." before he shot himself. He was having chat logs with the decoy that was posing as a 13 year old boy, and sending inappropriate pictures. He was 100% willingly breaking the law, and also lied about his age himself saying he was a 19 year old university student. I think police could've been smarter about it too, but I believe Conradt took his life because he knew his career was over and he was going to jail. Either way, it ended with an NBC lawsuit filed by his sister that ended up being resolved. Shortly after that, TCAP went off air.
i can understand if the police had a search warrant they would show up, but in what world did it make sense for the tv show crew to be there filming?? if he didnt show up to your sting then your part is over. if they hadnt been there (which they shouldnt have been) the show wouldnt be the ones that got sued.
@@meganverne I can’t remember if they were filming or not, but Louis Conradt’s investigation was to be part of TCAP. Why they were at his house when police were executing the search warrant, I honestly have no idea. Police were acting on a tip from Perverted Justice, not necessarily working with Dateline themselves. After investigating, they did find CP and other stuff on Conradt’s laptop and his phone. Idk the answer to why dateline was there, I just know police were executing a search warrant.
@@meganverne Dateline NBC did act as investigative journaling as well, I’m pretty sure. That was the entire purpose of TCAP. Dateline NBC was television news magazine, so in a way the bust of Conradt would be news because it was a political figure being arrested for being a pedophile. That’s the only reason why I can come up with why they were already present at Conradt’s house at the time of the search warrant
I had a professor in college who worked for homeland security he still does hes amazing he catches preditors like these men all over the world and has been able to rescue some kids. He explained that these cases are really hard because a good lawyer will argue that the creep wasnt talking to a child they were talking to an adult pretending to be a child and you cant prove he doesnt know it's an adult and what not . It's absolutely disgusting.
It’s not disgusting that the defence would say that. It’s true that the perverts were not actually speaking to children. But they should be convicted for intent. Their intent was to speak to children and do awful things. That’s enough to be skinned alive. Laws should be written so intent is included.
The part when he got those two 13 year olds drunk and stuff really hit me. He was only 14 at the time but it still just made me sick. Stay away from alcohol when you're that young, y'all. That stuff happens a lot.
We talk a lot about issues with petty crimes being charged heavily, or weed smokers going to jail for years to profit prisons, but we never talk about how these guys get off several times, for doing horrible things, until they finally do something so awful that we have to put them away for good. Even now this guy could get out on good behavior, who knows how many people he hurt before Chris caught him.
In the United States today from one state to another you can get 10 years for a joint and 3 years for these sorts of perverted dispicable crimes. Every state is so different.
It’s scary knowing that he had all of those allegations in his past and he was still trying to become a psychiatrist and a medical assistant. It makes you wonder about other people around you and what they have done/who they actually are
I was trafficked as a kid (ages 6-10 roughly) Abused up until I moved in with my boyfriend at the age of 19. I developed PTSD and NEAD at a very early age, both of which still rule my every day life. What have I done in this time? I became a childhood educator (I teach ages 1-10) I advocate for trafficking victims and victims of sexual assault/abuse. I've studied Child Development, Child Psychology and Law (relating to AMCs/GALs.) I am on my way to public speaking about my experience and my disabilities caused by it (of which my state does not recognize, and I have been fighting for recognition for nearly 5 years.) Abuse is hard to cope with, and it takes a lot to process it and learn to live alongside the damage it causes. But, abuse is never an excuse to abuse others.
I HATE that he just stormed in & was going to the decoy that fast after being told to wait down there. So glad this pervert is staying in prison for life! “Ain’t no kids in me…”
Hearing this whole story, the person that should be held accountable is that first psychiatrist that got into relationship with him. What kind of fucked up psychiatrist was that?
That's assuming any of it is true. Wehry lied so much it's hard to parse fact from fiction. It's likely that the book is "based on a true story" the way a lot of movies are. Edit: He was molested as a child, that much I know is true.
I was thinking about how fucked up this is too, a psychiatrist should never ever go into an interpersonal relationship with their patient like that? Maybe it was all in his head since it was taken from his book idk
I don't believe it's true but if it actually is that psychiatrist is extremely messed up and should probably lose their license. That extreme lack of judgement alone should disqualify them from treating patients.
Entrapment is coercing someone to commit a crime they wouldn’t normally commit so if the predator contacted the” kid” first that would negate the possibility of claiming entrapment as a usable defense in court
the chat logs and showing up are two different crimes. the predator might be fine chatting but scared or uncomfortable showing up to the house. if the decoy pressures them or convinces them to show up I think the argument could still be help up in court.
Sadly many victims that never got psychological help end up being abusers too. Not excusable at all but shows how access to mental healthcare is important
He is an amazing example of the cycle of abuse and why it is so important that when you’ve been sexually assaulted as a child that you make sure the cycle ends with you. You can be a good person and stop the cycle.
And why when a kid talks to their parents about this stuff, that the parents actually listen, but unfortunately by that time the damage is already done.
I think they calmly obey to Chris because they would be expecting a very aggressive father or family member maybe running towards them and when Chris just politely asks for them to sit down they prolly are so in shock and lose all control of motor skills and go back to muscle memory of when their mom called them when they were children and they just walk 😂
I don't know if they are paid at all by the show or at least get promised something. Like, the moment they go in they tell them what the show is about and that they are gonna get arrested anyway and ask them to 'cooperate' and put on a show for some reward, even if it's a fake one. That would explain a lot of stuff.
@@panosg2686 you actually think the predators are paid actors or something? They are real child predators/rapists with real criminal records and sentences. And they did have those horrible chats.
@@Cassxowary I never said they are 'actors' but he is just exploiting the circumstance. Its suspicious how almost every one of them is so cooperative and noone just attacks him. He is a lone middle aged man, so they prob already are informed they have no escape options
Jfc… as a kid, it seems like he was failed and preyed upon at every possible opportunity, even by his psychiatrist. He’s had an insane life and I see why he wrote a book, honestly. There are no excuses for his disgusting predatory behavior, obviously. The world is definitely safer with him in prison for life. But without help, how was he ever gonna turn out normal??
Many victims don't have any help but they still turn out to be decent at least. I was never talking with anyone about my experiences and I'm not saying I'm a very good person and I struggle with compulsive thoughts etc. but still, I refuse to take any harmful actions bc of it. I can't imagine how someone can have so big urge that they literally can't stop themselves, they have to r... someone... In this man's case the evil psychiatrist and the "love" was probably the worst issue bc they were like his authority and they were convincing him that these feelings are "good".
You said it better than I could. As a huge empath (sometimes a little too much for my own good..), there is definitely a part of me that feels kinda bad for the dude.. Maybe he would’ve turned out different if he had gotten the right belt (maybe not). But that is still absolutely no excuse for harming and/or preying on kids.
@@realswobby Some people survive after trauma and some dont. Depending on a persons personality the way they react to trauma is different. He did have a pysch but they started a relationship with him - thats another form of abuse.
Anybody else feel sort of disturbed by how quick he went into motion when he got inside? It made me feel he had some even darker motives than just perversion. He has a history of violence. That coupled with the idea he was willing to do this even when he himself was a victim. It seems he's putting into action he's dark desires and ill intentions. I feel it's not outlandish to assume he wouldn't mind acting violently towards the kid if he felt he wouldn't get caught.
This one is really sad. Not sad because this guy doesn't deserve his punishment (he absolutely deserves it) but sad because it shows how broken and depraved people can be
It is worse than candy, it creates a niche for victims for him. Candy requires to lure a kid, career help makes it much easier to abuse an innocent. Cause these predators know how to conduct themselves in a beneficial way. That's how these predators have been getting victims not only children but adults too.
I’m not shocked that he was sexually abused as a child-that sometimes screws people up like this show exposes. But good god, everything else? Being taken advantage of by your shrink who is the one you’re supposed to be most vulnerable with to make progress. No way did their relationship start budding after he was discharged. The things that happened to this man are disgusting and horrific, and they turned him into the same ugly, dark monster
Yeah; Can't help but feel that if he'd had the right interventions early in his life, it would've prevented so much destruction and hurt. I sincerely hope that psychiatrist was investigated and had their license terminated if what he said was true. The systems in place failed this guy at every turn, that then caused everyone surrounding him unnecessary suffering.
Most pedophiles lie about being victims themselves. There is a 2001 study that was done with 30,000 pedos that debunks this myth. They lie to get people to feel sorry for them and get lighter sentences.
@@linzeepopable You got a source on that one? Google didn't give me shit and anyone can make up a year and # of participants to cite a non-existent study to support their views.
There were major criticisms about how the show did things, but a big reason it was cancelled was because of a Texas attorney. "One controversial incident that prompted an increase of critical scrutiny of the show was the suicide of Louis Conradt, an assistant district attorney in Rockwall County, Texas, shot himself after he was caught talking to and exchanging pictures with a Perverted-Justice volunteer posing as a 13-year-old boy.[46][47] When Conradt did not show up for a prearranged meeting, NBC and local police tracked him to his home. He committed suicide as police and an NBC camera crew entered his home.[48]"
They only exposed that he was a criminalist already, apparently he had cp in his house. The show only exposed him, before he hurt a real kid, and he decided to kill himself, he wasn't pushed to do it by the show. Better in this way, at least he got stopped.
Fuckem he did the world a service. People feel bad because he committed suicide, he only did that because he didn’t want to face the consequences of his actions.
If it was any other predator, the lawsuit would have fallen through the cracks most likely It's that Conradt was too high-profile, too affluent, and his child trafficking buddies in power started getting too nervous.
I just now realized that Ken is a _father_ watching this. Like I knew he has kids and I've seen his other videos on this, but I've never put those 2 together contextually. Props to him for keeping things lighthearted while commentating on this. As an aunt, I get hella serious when this topic comes up so idk how he does it.
Most of these monsters always seem to be somehow childish themselves. They always seem to have that fidgety shame. It's the same discomfort a child displays when they've been caught in a lie. And in their behaviour with the "children" is itself very child-like in attitude and display. I can't help but almost pity them. A merciless pity that I might feel for the wasp in my kitchen.
i used to weld with a guy who was high rank in the aryan brotherhood. (he did 9 years) but he said that once inmates find out a guy is a pedophile all gangs put politics aside and (his words) "take care" of them. i slept a little better that night when he told me.
@@rt611 Yep. Most people have little people in their lives that they love. Wether it be their own children, nieces, nephews… If there’s anything to rally around it’s that.
The guy who offed himself that you guys are talking about was Luis Conradt, a district attorney one county over from the sting. When he got spooked and didn't show up, PJ saw that his MySpace was deleted so the police moved to arrest him at his house. He shot himself when the cops broke in and confronted him. The very talented phone/camera decoy stopped working with PJ since that situation really shook him up. Conradt's sister sued NBC over the incident and they later settled. Worst of all, though, is that almost all the other predators caught in that sting were let go, because none of the judges/prosecutors wanted to deal with that mess. And there are lots of opinions on this situation. My opinion: Conradt was absolutely guilty, as there was plenty of evidence he didn't get to destroy. And I don't shed a tear for him. But there's a reason the justice system has a protocol for everything--to keep evidence clean and prevent any suspicion of a conflict of interest on part of the police. And it is very arguable that the police did a sloppy job, influenced by the production of the show. I think Dateline and PJ made some serious mistakes in this situation that clouded the legal process for multiple would-be convictions, but that doesn't warrant the wrongful death suit imo, nor the series' eventual cancellation.
Thats crazy they would take a show off the air just because someone offed themselves as a result. They get called out, brought to the publics eye to make aware of the people's history and ultimately protect innocent people. We live in such a coddle type world where we cater to all kinds. Some people are truly the worst of the worst.
I sure wouldn't shed a tear over a predator offing themselves. One less douche for tax dollars to support with three square meals a day, free health care, a fitness program and all kinds of other things while being "punished".
Holy shit that man’s life was a roller coaster. What a sad, unfortunate life. Glad he’s kept away from society now but damn…everything and everyone in his life utterly failed him ever since childhood.

Here’s my theory why everyone sits down with him when he says to These people are predators, they spend their life grooming kids online and manipulating them. There’s no telling how many kids they do this to but probably countless and because they spend so much time doing this they are cocky about their manipulation skills and think they can get out of anything because even though it’s kids they are manipulating they are predators so they see kids and adults in a similar light and think they have the power to manipulate either.
Late but there’s many reasons they probably listen to Chris. Some know the police are outside and just want to prolong their freedom for a little longer. Some are scared and listen out of fear and instinct. Some may have the power thing you mentioned. I think some also think maybe they can convince Chris with their sob stories to give them mercy. And some just straight up are fine with admitting to it so they just have a chat with him😂
Forgot to mention tbh most probably don’t know Chris is Chris hansen so they aren’t too worried as they aren’t aware law enforcement is there so they just probably talk to talk and make their lie then go. Assuming he’s the dad or babysitter or something.
Forensics grad student here, This is by no means entrapment. Entrapment is when an undercover cop approaches someone and is like "hey lets rob this bank" and the robber goes along with it. The criminal activity has to be initiated by the law enforcement agent to be entrapment. Since all of the criminal activity comes directly from these pedophiles and the undercover agents just go along with the criminal's plan, this is not entrapment
One of the main prerequisites of entrapment is the law enforcement party has to initiate the contact. The predators on this show are the ones who initiated the contact; therefore no entrapment. They did a BTS, where the woman named "Dell" explains they log into the chat rooms, and wait until the predators contact them first.
8:06 if it was entrapment the lawyer would have gotten them out of it. But they reached out to their usernames and knew the ages of the decoys and still showed up.
I really liked hearing the extra information that you shared about the dude. Like it really shows just how bad they were and how this show was doing something about it. You don't have to share it all the time if you don't want to dig deep (or if youtube is gonna get upset), but I think it would be a nice addition to these videos!

Got a back injury and can’t really do much for a while, but I’ll gladly sit around to watch these two make fun of predators 😂 Edit: thank you for everyone wishing me a quick recovery! Luckily I found this channel about a week ago so I have plenty of videos to keep me company!
People love to throw around that a lot of abusers were abused and I would like to argue that, I don’t care. I was abused as a child and would never do that to my own children. Being abused is not a valid reason to defend an abuser and I get so mad when I see people try and use that. YOUR TRAUMA DOES NOT MAKE YOU ENTITLED TO TRAUMATIZE SOMEONE ELSE.
I watch Mike Fox sometimes who does this professionally. He says that to avoid entrapment, the predator has to contact you first AND within the first couple of messages you have to say the age of the decoy to give them an opportunity to back out after you say the age, it’s no longer entrapment if the predator continues the conversation after that point

@@roygbiv9038 why would anyone who’s been exposed and imprisoned for being a child predator want pity and empathy and leniency? And take responsibility for his actions instead? Vinnie Ambrosio was like that too but in the house. Pure manipulation. Plus I’ve had experience with non-child predators who behaved exactly this way. It’s just classic manipulation. It’s also like how kids try to lie their way out of trouble. At least 99% chance it’s complete bs.
Legal entrapment only includes crimes that the perpetrator would not have committed otherwise but for the manipulation of law enforcement. "Government agents may not originate a criminal design, implant in an innocent person's mind the disposition to commit a criminal act, and then induce commission of the crime so that the Government may prosecute." Sting operations are not legal entrapment. “ Police are allowed to provide an opportunity for people to commit a crime, but not actually coerce someone to break the law. “

He was really failed by the system, a person like that needs constant psychological help and supervision. he did terrible things and shouldn't have been out on the streets like that.
I hope we get better at recognizing and treating mental health issues earlier, and that people become more comfortable seeking help when they have been assaulted/experience twisted urges. And the psychotic episode thing just makes it so much more difficult to control yourself because at the time you don't understand reality properly and there is no way to figure that out from the patient's point of view. He should be under a lot more psychiatric care and watch.
I think the reason the normal ones are like 30 minutes is because Chris lets them ramble on to gather evidence against them. If he lets them tell a long story it cements them in that lie and in the future when they go to trial it's harder for them to win
I think all predators that are in jail should be forced to go to continuous therapy, I’m not saying release them either, they need to be reminded CONSTANTLY that their state of mind is broken and they require help for it.
Maybe not on to catch a predator but the pedo hunting youtube pages have busted several woman. and I was I'm prison 10years ago and there were multiple women who look like someone's teacher or gma..it really surprised me how often it does happen w. Woman
Not on the show... but yeah a bunch of vigilante pages have outed a ton of weird women. I was once incarcerated and I was shocked how many weird women are behind bars for crimes like that. It didn't help I was the youngest in the facility at the time 😅😰
The only analogy I have for this story is like trying to watch a single-engine plane try to take off from a runway. never gaining enough momentum to get off the ground which results in crashing into the barrier at the end of the runway as it skips across the pavement trying to take flight.
That poor dude. If he'd gotten the help he clearly desperately needed in his teens, all of the following event may have been avoidable. I'm not saying that to excuse his absolutely disgusting behavior and crimes because there is no excuse for that, but his childhood was almost certainly what lead him down that path. And that's also why it's so important to help kids/teens in similar positions today so that they don't grow up to become as terrible people as this man.
They guy genuinely had a terrible life, sucks that he didn't get the help he needed honestly. Definitely can't be used as an excuse, but it's certainly a good learning point for the future of others in similar situations
@@tylerstephens9456 the sad part is that this has happened A LOT and the system remains the same. For me personally, I only really know and have experience being a sit in/evaluator for child abuse for sexual, physical, neglect, etc. For me there was certain signs to look for and I could document, but the nurses were naïve to physical abuse warning signs (an example I have is when a child I had a severe concussion/trauma in the frontal lobe that extended to her brain stem, and the nurses saw nothing wrong when I pressed the call button with the mom's hands square on her daughter's shoulders about to start shaking again/yelling at her.) Unfortunately they were really legally scrutinizing too in another case. Even though there was behavior there that indicated pedophilia/sexual trauma (excessively seeking hugs/touch, being scared to pee, scared of water, saying an obvious statement), the law in Canada can still make those signifers objective. The parent could say "Oh I just washed ____ and they're learning about sexuality and were curious" or disgusting and disturbing sh*t like that and it can turn into hear-say. There's things put in place that can make child abusers, and sexual offenders squirm and find a way out of an action they did unfortunately if other people don't pick up on what they need to so they can correctly identify. The law often accommodates even when situations are extreme like that one was where kids still get abused and the perpetrators aren't tried as offenders because of how the foster system works, availability for placement, "keep the child with the parent" mentality, etc.
Yikes! I would be interested to see the history of the guy I "dated" when I was 18.. He was 42 with previous ties to biker gangs, fraud, drugs, alcohol abuse and domestic abuse.. Before you judge, it happens more than you would like to imagine and when you are young it is hard to resist the temptations of admiration.. it feels like love and at times can be quite thrilling but later you realize it was something much darker
as a criminal justice major i’ve done a whole assignment on a chris video, where we discussed whether it was entrapment or not, and the whole class agreed that it’s not. the officers didn’t provoke them first, the predators talk to the officers first which is how the officers get around it
Mike fox (another youtuber) is able to explain entrapment really well. From what I understand its not entrapment if the predator messages first and anything before the decoy mentions they're underage is voided. It's what happens after they think they're talking to a minor that the law cares about
I was just binge watching your to catch a predator videos last night. Thank you for spreading awareness on these issues, and I hope you continue to make these videos!
There’s something awful hearing there stories and the things they went through, because I pity them for what they went through that got them there, but I can’t excuse what they were trying to do with a minor. It’s just all around sad and leaves me feeling disappointed for society and what can happen to some of us. Glad they get these people off the streets though, because they certainly shouldn’t be there.
@@itsGreyHat Ended up in debt, doing weird stuff on yt for money. Honestly if you look it up on UA-cam there's a lot more details I forgot/ don't have a lot of time to explain. But after how to catch a predator got shut down life just kinda kicked him in the gut.

Ken the reason according to Chris that they stopped the show was because it was too expensive. He has stated that the guy who ended his life wasn’t the cause for the show to stop.
An example of Entrapment in this instance would be if the decoy told him they were over 18 but instead was under 18. Because that way they would think they're meeting an adult.

(Made up example):
Pred: “I really wanna do this and this and this”
Decoy: “I’m not sure, I’ve never done that before..”
Pred: “Don’t worry I’ll teach you” etc etc.
People who say that are self-reporting. Especially if they say that after reading these chatlogs...
Like mini Ladd
@@BenPunkman Mini Ladd knew the age he admitted to is it made me sick to my stomach

Police could have handled that differently.

I was thinking about how fucked up this is too, a psychiatrist should never ever go into an interpersonal relationship with their patient like that?
Maybe it was all in his head since it was taken from his book idk
we'd have to hear their side too and find other evidence than just his book
Yeah agreed with people above me, my comment was just based on if we take this whole timeline as 100% truth, not going into details if it really is
I don't believe it's true but if it actually is that psychiatrist is extremely messed up and should probably lose their license.

"CinnamonToastKen:
"Good that we got the cutdown version. He keeps blabbing on forever about stuff that doesn't matter. So let me tell you everything that happened instead!"
Here’s my theory why everyone sits down with him when he says to
These people are predators, they spend their life grooming kids online and manipulating them. There’s no telling how many kids they do this to but probably countless and because they spend so much time doing this they are cocky about their manipulation skills and think they can get out of anything because even though it’s kids they are manipulating they are predators so they see kids and adults in a similar light and think they have the power to manipulate either.
They are almost all cowards who skulk around to find victims. So when a strong person catches them, they shrink.
That IS true. Of course, it could also be because of the shock of getting caught in the act, but your theory is a whole lot more plausible.
Forensics grad student here,
This is by no means entrapment.
Man... yall should be embarrassed
Good point. Also, intent matters.
You guys are the only thing keeping me going this first semester of my senior year. Love watching your videos on my work breaks. A good way to decompress after endless hours at a computer every day
Its good to take breaks now and then, especially if you're on a computer. You need time to relax and help you avoid damaging your eyes. Good luck with your studies
You got this!
Got a back injury and can’t really do much for a while, but I’ll gladly sit around to watch these two make fun of predators 😂

I’m sorry! Hope you feel better soon!
Also, get well soon.

Our favorite show, to JUDGE THE FREAK OUTTA PEOPLE.
Right after our second, watching them get TASED!!!
the "kid" isn't a cop and the "kids" aren't seeking these guys out. this is not entrapment. nobody is tricking these guys into committing a crime.
Mike Fox is amazing! I'm glad he's out there catching those creeps!
It's kinda sad that all this came from being abused ad a child and nobody helped him. But on the other hand screw him he's old enough to know better.
I really like how youve added in the extra details about perp, gives it all a lot more depth! Keep em coming boys
Soooo glad he’s locked up. Being abused as a child doesn’t give you the right to abuse others.
Look, he got a call from a man he doesn't know, who told him to go to a random area, about a job that doesn't exist!! IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE!!!
ken is honestly one of the few male specimen who can pull off a kickass mustache.
I feel empathy for him. That doesn't mean I think he should walk but I definately pity him. Such a shame that he didn't get some proper help as a kid. Anyway, its too late now. He has done all the damage that could ever be done. Screw him
He lied the whole time in the house, what makes you think any of that is real? It doesn’t even sound real
@@Cassxowary I dont believe most of what he said. Many have however been molested as children. There are quite a few situations where it has been confirmed. As I said, I feel sorry for him but that doesnt mean he shouldnt be locked up. I just expressed an emotion. Its too late now but I wished he was helped.
@@Cassxowary idk man. Why would someone make up being a prison bitch and a prostitute?
@@memejeff true but considering he lied the whole long time in the house and people like that want pity… I wouldn’t fall for any of it…
@@roygbiv9038 why would anyone who’s been exposed and imprisoned for being a child predator want pity and empathy and leniency? And take responsibility for his actions instead?
Vinnie Ambrosio was like that too but in the house. Pure manipulation.
Plus I’ve had experience with non-child predators who behaved exactly this way. It’s just classic manipulation. It’s also like how kids try to lie their way out of trouble.
At least 99% chance it’s complete bs.
Legal entrapment only includes crimes that the perpetrator would not have committed otherwise but for the manipulation of law enforcement.
"Government agents may not originate a criminal design, implant in an innocent person's mind the disposition to commit a criminal act, and then induce commission of the crime so that the Government may prosecute."
Sting operations are not legal entrapment.
“ Police are allowed to provide an opportunity for people to commit a crime, but not actually coerce someone to break the law. “
@@brandon737 where do I fund this?!
This is why child predators should be locked away for life on the first offense. The abused often become abusers creating an ugly cycle.

He was really failed by the system, a person like that needs constant psychological help and supervision. he did terrible things and shouldn't have been out on the streets like that.
When he said “well you don’t know everything I know” someone clapped 😂😂
@Nathaniel Shrock It’s honestly horrifying that these people are becoming accepted, even though it might not be by many it shouldn’t be by ANY.

If it wasent for Commiefornias weak on crime attitude he would never had done half of what he did so blame weak on crime Commiefornia.

@@tylerstephens9456 the sad part is that this has happened A LOT and the system remains the same. I commend you two for making the best TCAP videos on UA-cam so entertaining I was hyped seeing the upload come on my recommended.
For me personally, I only really know and have experience being a sit in/evaluator for child abuse for sexual, physical, neglect, etc.
For me there was certain signs to look for and I could document, but the nurses were naïve to physical abuse warning signs (an example I have is when a child I had a severe concussion/trauma in the frontal lobe that extended to her brain stem, and the nurses saw nothing wrong when I pressed the call button with the mom's hands square on her daughter's shoulders about to start shaking again/yelling at her.)
Unfortunately they were really legally scrutinizing too in another case.
It's what happens after they think they're talking to a minor that the law cares about
Grown to like reaction videos after watching so many of ken's video's, Unlike most reaction vids this is actually entertaining!

I don't know why but when Buff said "its me, ya boy John Pederson." I lost it hahahaha
I can't get over the fact that he only did 3 years for shooting a man in the neck. Good grief, man.

Props to Chris Hansen and his team for catching these many evil dudes from off the streets.
