I love how David could always make Chris laugh, even though their styles of humor seemed so different on the surface. They knew each so well, and out of everyone who was close on the SNL cast, they were the most like brothers.
Spade helped Farley succeed as well. Farley needed a guy like Spade to balance things out. Fat guy fall down go boom got old when the entire movie was based around that concept. Beverly Hills Ninja is a prime example. They were a great team, no one more important than the other.

It’s sad to think he would have to pay prostitutes to spend time with him. He was so funny and adorable- like a big teddy bear! A man so loved by so many must have had a huge heart and lots of love to give. He probably did drugs to fill the void inside of him😞
He also tried to fill the void by becoming a celebrity. He was not happy, obviously. Unfortunately his mental illness doesn’t seem to get much exposure. Too bad, it might help people in similar circumstances and remove some of the stigma.
Goodbye Girl1 really sucks that everyone loved him but he didn’t love himself. He thought they all just wanted to see the fat guy fall ... dude was a damn athlete .... some people get ripped like Bruce Lee and some just get big like a football player on the line
