I've had this watch for a couple of weeks. I have zero buyer's remorse, I really like this watch. The strap is not terrible, not great, but not as bad as some reviews make it out to be. Being 20mm, I have played with several strap changes as I have dozens in that size. Pretty much everything that I tried looks good due to the universal simplicity of this watch. Black sailcloth, tan suede, reddish brown rally style, everything looks fine. My watch is 7 To 10 seconds fast per day. Every three or four days, I pull out the stem when the second hand hits the 12, and watch my atomic wall clock to push the stem back in when the times sync. A slightly fast watch makes these corrections easy. I have over a dozen watches and this Timex is on my wrist more often than not.
No big threat to Hamilton until they slim that case down and make that case smaller from a 41. With that said, it’s a good looking watch and I am a huge Timex guy
Great Video ! My Titanium Field Watch is sub $100.00 USD/U$D (made in China... NO, NO). Maybe another version of the Timex Watch with Tritium and/or Solar ! Also I like the NATO/EDC watchband with the Suunto button clip on compass for my watch EDC ! My Timex digital watch is set in 24-Hour mode, but the Indeglo button quit working... tjl
Timex needs to write “miyota movement” in their spec description on their website. They just write “automatic movement” so I assumed it was some Chinese movement (which Timex loves to do). Knowing its miyota makes it much more appealing. Still wish it was a lot smaller though
While a few things could have been improved, it definitely "scratches that itch." I got a Ti mesh bracelet. Definitely an improvement. Also, it plays well with NATO.
It should sell well as it has Arabic numbers, now rare, a plain dial with luminous hands, along with a screw-on back and guarded winder, its auto, and has probably the oldest name, but no country of manufacture, would have liked it made in Switzerlan!d
It says 200m water resistance, and probably achieves that. This is the big thing that could beat the Hamilton in a "field watch". I think they needed to put a 9-series Miyota in it though in order to try to exist in that price category.
I agree. I think it would have made it much more competitive. That said the lume, AR coating and dial do provide better legibility than hamilton does in most their field watches. I think Timex was close here. I hope they keep improving it.
@@hammondwatch2808 not sure about that. I have a number of Timex watches, the "Scout" solar and the "Expedition North" solar and the lume sucks. It's no way near the lume of the Hamilton Khaki Mechanical.
The watch looks more like a chunk of scrap metal that separated from a Russian satellite flying over orbit as it got intensely hot by a 3 square mile meteor.
It’s kind of tacky imo. I like the titanium, crown guard and water rating. But the dial, date and thickness makes it seem like something you’d buy from a dept store shelf, not even in the glass case
Hamilton would be nice if they had some competitive water resistant. As someone who’s outdoors I just can’t bring myself to spend that on a watch to beat up and I can even submerge it without worry
@@thegeneral1955 look, you want to submerge your whole body most of the time? Maybe there is one thing called DIVER that you should buy instead of field watch. Field watch is like a versatile tool that can handle everything but definitely not specialized. In your case, you are better off getting a 99$ G-Shock
HD is still processing! It's just taking forever!
Classic looking field watch. I didn’t even know Timex did any titanium cases! Sharp.
Pretty rad.
Thx for the honest review
Great watch 👍
Awesome Size, ❤Awesome Watch❤

Timex really did a good job with this one.

I prefer this case size...it is all subjective
@@HenriksenDolf Exactly. I daily wear a Casio ProTrek which is 45mm case width and haven't had any issues with its size.
Your caze size preferences don't apply for everyone.
Imagine shaving it down to 10.5mm height in a 38 case. This would be so sick. Then again, it would be so sick if it turned into a sinn 556 ar s. Lol
Then go get an old Russian military watch for like 100$
I really like the “asphalt “like dial 👍🏼
Nice touch for sure.

Awesome Watch for the Price
I love the look of the Hamilton Khaki Field watch. BUT, without AR or good lume, I'll not buy one.

The guy from Watch Lab channel slapped this one heavily. Basically compared it with a toy gun...
I would compare the moonswatch with a toy but not this. Its not oversized and its a bit light due to the material but that's to be expected.
Id love one of these, but the hands just ruin the watch for me
It should sell well as it has Arabic numbers, now rare, a plain dial with luminous hands, along with a screw-on back and guarded winder, its auto, and has probably the oldest name, but no country of manufacture, would have liked it made in Switzerlan!d
i like it.
id replace the strap.
The automatic titanium Hamilton is $1000. So about three times the price. Not a fair comparison at all.

They also need to offer a bracelet version and make it less than 12mm thick imo.
@@mariog7213 Both would be nice. I hope there's a second version. I'd be ok with a manual wind movement if it was sub 12mm.

For the money a much better choice than Hamilton. Not even close.
*inhales*
From somebody scared to even try. Hilarious.

Sold out, you wanna sell yours?
Sorry. Already did.
From which watch trailer did you purchase it?
@@marioorozco6600 I got it directly from Timex
Check this morning. You’re welcome.
@@1970HondaCL100 crazy thing it sold out already and I am already considering to flip mine! 😅
really nice but its already sold out and its just very similar to some boldr watches and boldr is cheaper so its good but that not super impressive
100% agree.
If it is sold out, why would they not make more of them and make more money?
It’s kind of tacky imo. I like the titanium, crown guard and water rating. But the dial, date and thickness makes it seem like something you’d buy from a dept store shelf, not even in the glass case
49mm lug to lug, ugly date hole, 13.5mm thick? NOPE.
Oh yeah, you should take a look at the latest Hamilton Murph 38mm.
Actively working to get my hands on one. That thing is glorious.
Hamilton would be nice if they had some competitive water resistant. As someone who’s outdoors I just can’t bring myself to spend that on a watch to beat up and I can even submerge it without worry

Too expensive for a Chinese made watch!
Fair point. The aliexpress brands have definitely redefined what a value proposition is.
I cant stand crown guards on a field watch. That completely ruins this watch for me.
Just an FYI, your breathing in after every sentence is very loud.
Yeah I had a lot of issues with this mic. Weird feedback in the last couple minutes too.
Why would anyone buy a titanium watch 😂
The weight. I have a helm vanuatu titanium and love it. Its chunky but wears great because its ti.
Why buy a watch to just return it. Doesn’t make sense. Thumbs down 👎🏾
Because I didnt like it as much as I thought I would. You just throw your bad purchases away?
