I was just telling you about my love for my Hamilton watches and you're dropping Hamilton content today. What the hell man.lmao 😂
Your problem is the screw down crown. My problem is AR coating! There's a ton of reflections on my Khaki King and Murph 38.
I have been using them for swimming and snorkeling without any problem! These modern watches are tougher than when they were built during the WW2 bro. trust me haha.

I agree. This should be the blueprint for the upcoming models from Hamilton, especially the Khaki Field. Well balanced and proportioned with different size options. Keep that as the core values and they wont miss.

Awesome video!! I currently have the black Hamilton khaki auto chrono, and it’s just too thick for my wrist, I am deciding to go for a different Hamilton or shoot for something new altogether

A 24 hour bezel is useless without a GMT hand, and that requires another type of movement. A 12 hour bezel however, can keep track of a 2nd time zone using the normal hour hand. You just need to figure out pm vs. am on your own, but that’s quite basic

Compass bezel perfectly fits to a Field watch, IMO & I use it much in mountain sightseeings of mine...

I agree with so many of the points you made. I personally don’t mind the compass bezel as it reminds us that it is a field watch and frankly it can still be used to track time.. you just have to think a little bit more. It’s also aesthetically pleasing to me being such a large band of brushed metal.. gives it the rugged, more contemporary look that I would expect from such a field watch.
I think in their marketing and a lot of the media that came out.. too much focus was put on the compass bezel and it thus became something people hyper-fixated on.. in person, the dial stands out much more and the bezel falls to the background. I feel like the Seiko Alpinist has never gotten the same level of backlash for committing so much to the rotating compass dial. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition will be a real classic watch of all times, IMO...

I genuinely appreciate this watch and I almost bought it on few occasions, but there is one thing that bothers me. For twice the price, the Longines Spirit offers a significantly superior package in terms of finishing, movement quality, brand recognition, and more. In comparison, the Khaki Field seems lacking in value for money.

Valid consideration but that watch is still 2.5 times more expensive than this one. The Hamilton is certainly more of a tool/field watch as intended and has plenty of history and cache behind it particularly on that front. If you’re looking for a no-nonsense everyday field watch with a solid caliber and 80/hr power reserve I don’t think you can go wrong with this one. If the chronometer distinction, date compilation, and arguably more dressy aspects of the Spirit are important to you that is a solid buy. In my personal opinion, in overall looks alone the Expedition ekes out over Spirit ever so slightly as its proportions and simplicity read cohesively as tool watch.. with the Longines doing what so many of their men’s watches do for me which is get a bit too busy/fussy. That said, it is certainly a dressier looking watch h that is finished exquisitely.. i just have a hard time digesting the entire package if that makes sense. On the other hand, the Spirit Zulu GMT looks near perfect and is a cohesive design imho.

Enjoyed your video. One thing I don’t get is why you don’t feel 50 meters is good enough for an every day watch?

Thanks! Usually, it's fine. But the Khaki Field Mechanical is known to have water damage easily, which just made me paranoid 😆

Any idea why Hamilton discontinued their jazzmaster regulator ?

tbh for the average person, a non-screw down crown is fine. i've worn a non-screw down crown nomos for years and its survived monsoons and jumps into bodies of water. I feel as long as you buy from a reputable brand you can trust the WR resistance rating.

Screw-down crown is a must for a military/outdoor watch like this...

tbh to be the best military watch, you gotta choose a solar g-shock nowadays. all i'm saying is that he doesn't have to be so afraid of water entering even if it doesn't have a screw down crown. just wanted to highlight that since that was what he was worried about.@@Sumerdini

The problem I have with this watch is that it’s super ugly. I guess it’s true, you really can’t have it all
