Hey, Maggie! That blue dress with the white roses is adorable on you! And the green jumpsuit looks like it would be so comfortable to dance in. I have both a urostomy and colostomy. I have had my stomas eight years now, and I have to say, one of the hardest challenges I had the first year with the ostomies was finding things to wear. Especially since like you, I am of small stature. I'm 60 years old, and I don't like to dress like a teenager, but I also don't want to dress "frumpy." Urostomies continuously fill, so even if I have emptied my colostomy bag and it's laying flat, the urostomy bag always needs room to fill. I can no longer wear form-fitting clothing due to the urostomy :( However, most A-line dresses or dresses with an empire waist camoflage my bags. I was so depressed the first year after my cancer surgery (which led to my double-bag status), and for the first few months, I was also afraid to leave the house as you were. My anxiety was awful. It didn't help that one of my first forays out-and-about was to the movies. Lo and behold, I acquired a urostomy leak pretty quickly at the theater and had to leave. I think once we've been "potty-trained" as a toddler, we become mortified if we wet the bed or mess our pants. That trauma stays with us. For those of you who follow Maggie and struggle with the anxiety of dressing with an ostomy, please know you will become less anxious and more knowledgeable about "all things ostomy" over time. Don't be afraid to try on outfits that you wouldn't expect you'd be able to wear. Maggie is a GREAT person to follow!!
@tatersinger I also have 2 stomas and have struggled with going out, I have had my colostomy for 4 years and the urostomy for 2 years due to reoccurring cancer. Almost everyone notices my double bags as I am not slightly built. I nearly always wear baggy dresses and feel most comfortable wearing bike pants underneath. I also have dealt with leaking urostomy and it is embarrassing. I hope you are now cancer free 🤍
my sister had Ilostomy surgery a couple months ago and she watches your channel and she said that you give her the best advice how to change her ostomy bag! 😊 me and my sister are big fans of you and we are subscribers! That Mermaid dress is stunning on you!
I usually do not like jumpsuits, but this one is very pretty. It actually looks like a 2-piece. The last dress is definitely my favorite. This video is informative regarding fashion when there is a medical appliance involved. For a 3 - 4 week period, I had to wear a drain. I lived in sweatpants and humungous shirts. Fortunately I had no job or special occasion fashion requirements. However, a video like this one would have been quite helpful...plus ALL of the outfits shown looked great on Maggie.

Maggie, the green jumpsuit, is absolutely adorable on you! The color is perfect and parties and weddings are the best time to wear a fun, out of the box color 🥳 Maggie, sit down on the toilet seat, greatly reduces the risk of dripping on to your clothing!!!

Hi Maggie 😊 I just recently found your channel and I immediately subscribed. I’m 65 years old and I was diagnosed with Crohns when I was 26, had my first surgery in 1994. Now, several years and several surgeries later, I have an ileostomy. I too, use a closed end pouch; I didn’t want to have to wear baggy clothes or worry about the damn clip showing through my clothes. Back to the subject matter of this video, when I know I’m going to a special event and I’m going to be wearing a nice dress or outfit, I plan ahead. I’m very selective about what I eat that day, starting with breakfast. I keep my meals light and small; I know that once I’m there, I can indulge a little more and enjoy the food that is served at the event.

I only wore dresses until I had mine reversed. I wore compression type clothes to hide mine. But mine was aggravating I could not enjoy my self. Had mine reversed and it was the best thing I did.❤I tried to slow mine but it wouldn't work. I love the last dress. You are so brave to do this and I know this will help a lot of people❤

HI Maggie! You look amazing in all of them. Wow have I struggled to find things to wear the last 3 years since I have had "Winnie". She is in a weird place and I find that many pants cut right across the bag. I don't like to wear leggings all the time but they are kind of my go to when I can't figure out what else to wear. I have found a few pants that have elastic in the back but not in the front. They have a regular zipper and button closure. They have been great for the summer. Thank you for showing me how to think out of the box and enjoy my life with Winnie and to not be afraid to wear something I love. Hugs and blessings

omg we are both five feet and half an inch haha (I also note the half of an inch when people ask me my height). Also idk if i've said but we have the same first name. I think you're a year older than me though. But so many superficial similarities is kinda fun

in like 1.5 week they start remodel of my only toilet/bathroom. me don´t have a ostomy but IBS with problems with being luquids sometimes. I getting som type of portable toilet they come to empty during this time but so stressed over if me have a accident. shower is accesseble in basement shared with others. with FODMAP been alot better so holf my tumbs here but this stressful enoth and just imagen have ostemy then how and where do a neibor clean and change that when only have bedrom and kitchen and maybe a livingroom to be in.

Hydration shouldn't cost that much . Even the "free sample"
There are more cost-effect electrolyte recipes that you can make at home! I just prefer these because of the taste. I think it's absolutely worth the price but know this can be a difficult expense for many!
