I gave up on my adaptive lights on my 2008 L320. Both were dud and no amount of money spent on diagnostics found the problem. Specutively, with fingers and toes crossed, I even replaced the module hidden up inside the n/s wing which was a bar-steward of a job, to no avail. In the end I replaced them with non-adaptive lights which are superb. To be honest I didn't know I could have set the adaptives manually. Hey ho!
I did a set of headlights using a similar kit and a cordless drill - the headlights were still in the car, so I could apply more pressure. Took about 30 mins each side with multiple grades of abrasive (finished with 2000 grit) and kept the headlights wet throughout. Finished with compound and a bit of polish.
You did very well on that one, I suppose you could not fail really as you would have to buy a new H/lamp any way, I find it worrying that just the headlamp is more complicated to work on than a complete strip down of a 1960s engine! Chris B.
I have a adaptive xenon’s on my Disco 3 and they are superb, best headlights on any car I have ever known. Perfect on dark lanes. Deffo get a polisher, I used on on the headlines on my Project/Beater Audi A2 and it was perfect after a bit of sanding with wet and dry.
Hello, good morning from Spain, I would like to know if there is a possibility of updating these headlights with "LEDS". Thank you very much for your response.
Has anyone tried using an aftermarket replacement lens and seal such as those other sold by UK powerful or another firm. If so, please let us know which ones are the best. Even if Land Rover itself makes an OEM that would be great.
I would have been interested in the Disco but I brought one last week, my first Land Rover! I have the EPB to fix and it isn’t going well, did you fix yours and did you do a video on it?
another great fix as always 🔥
Damn youtube

Don’t forget if you are going to use a high rpm buffer to clean the lenses you will need to use plenty of water as it will create a lot of heat.

If only they'd stuck to using the butyl sealant on the 2010> headlights, it would have made replacing the lenses on mine SO much easier.
Diet looks like its working well.

Hello just seen the eBay listing so EPB still poorly. I was hoping to follow your fix 😊
"we're actually clear of faults" hahahahaha! L322= faults per day. great video, thanks
You will be very lucky if that headlamp seals properly not replacing all the sealant😳
Pretty sure I squeezed extra in, all the way round. No condensation yet 🤞
