That sound is exactly the sound my car made when the battery died. Brilliant video. I will replace both parts - HVAC Control and Hedgehog. I learned so much from your video. Thank you! (2007 L322 Supercharged Black Beauty)
@LR Live Before you replace these parts was the heating in the car just blowing cold, prior to that did you know if it did work then it gradually stopped getting hotter, my 2006 l322 the heating did work when we first bought it and now it is just blowing freezing cold.

It was just blowing cold. They seem to slowly get less and less efficient.
Looking forward to the stereo upgrade, my old defender has more modern tech in it than the RR!!!
Nailed it. Fair play
Brilliant video, good language too lol . Well Done
Nice fix, did changing that control unit also bring back your heated seat or is that still to be investigated?
Sadly no. But I'll be stripping the seat back off this week and hopefully it will be a cracked vent pipe.
That is a positive result! Did replacing the "hedgehog" unit stop the battery drain problem? Chris B.
Absolutely. Easy'ish fix!
Does look like you scored with the rangey

Check the auxilary centre vent. I think it works independently and if the hose at the back isn't attached it will get pretty hot.
What’s the switch for under the dash looks like a Ford window switch
I think it's either to switch to LHD or possibly something to do with transport mode. Don't want to touch it!
Definitely transport mode switch. Easy to switch on but you need a diagnostic unit like the IIDtool to take out of transport mode…
