Love the large graters. I've always only had a flat grater with a couple sized of grating surfaces, and a slicer in the middle. It's probably 60 years old or older. It's well used. Thanks for the creative video. Just a little something to make you feel better about not knowing about potatoes for weight loss earlier... I bought The McDougall Plan when it first came out... early 80s, and read it, but didn't really believe it or do it until a few years ago. I did similar things, and had some success, but couldn't imagine that I could incorporate potatoes in my weight control plan... So I spent a couple decades struggling, till I accepted it. I still get off track, but as soon as I get back to potatoes, and eat regular meals, life gets good again. Thanks for showing us how you do it all...

Those hash browns looked AMAZING. I need an air fryer! You couldnt make them crunchy like that in a normal oven. Just found this channel I love it! Subbed.

My regular grater seems to just fine and as you demonstrated it seems easier to shape or mash together when it’s smaller shreds, ya know? Anyhoo, I luvs ya! 🎃🧡🖤🤎💛

Have you found that different potato types, ie russett or yellow fleshed or red skinned do better for different cooking methods? Like which one is better for spider mash or the mashed potato fries? I find russett are better for hash browns, but just wondering about the others. Thanks!
i did not even know there was such a thing, as a potato grater either. I don't eat any candy, no matter the time of yr.. I have done Mary's Mini, over yr ago now, basically what i do every day, well, i do eat lot different non starchies & fruit. hmmm. yes, i agree, if we had of know this, 57 yrs ago, that is as long as i was yo yo'ing, til age 66. Now only few short days til 69 !! wow, but, instead feeling 20 yrs older, i feel 30 yrs younger, after reversing CFS, IBS, FIBRO pain 24/7, angioedema every 2 days, depression, all kinds digestion probs, got off 5 meds, up out of my sick bed & if u take a look at my videos, i show, just what i CAN do now. take care & bee safe, i am on NS , Atlantic coast, all the way across Canada from u.🙏💖🐶🥔🍠

Do you ever grate them raw?
Rarely, I don't like the result... plus the extra effort that has to go into grating a raw potato (harder to grate, squeezing out the excess water and cooking for longer to get it somewhat crispy)
