Yay! Jeannine’s back and looking great! Week one done, those wedges and fries look so delicious. You always get the perfect crunch, I either undercook or overcook mine, one day I’ll get that crunch. Glad you showed the soup with the cauliflower. I’ve got a giant bag of riced cauliflower in the freezer and want to use it up to free up some space. You’re brilliant!

I just went back and rewatched it. It full of really good information. You nailed it, I think perhaps my potatoes were too moist. Time to cook up another batch! Some crunchy wedges will go great with the chili I made yesterday

Really lovely to see you again and so glad Ellie is getting better! By the way I heard air fried potatoes have double the calories because all the moisture is removed. That sort of made sense to me thinking of dried fruit etc. What do you think?
I never discourage my students or anyone on The Potato Reset from eating air fried potatoes. Potatoes, regardless of air frying or not, are still incredibly satisfying and filling. They still have moisture and volume. However if someone is having trouble losing weight eating a potato focused diet, then it would be appropriate to experiment with only boiled or steamed potatoes. To me that wouldn't be very fun. I'd rather stick with a variety of cooking methods and add veggies.
I only have sweet potatoes left in the house because it took me DAYS to dig out my car from the Ontario snowmageddon, so of course I had cheese pizza for dinner and I feel terrible. So heavy and bloated!
I hate that feeling!! Ugh.. yes the snow has been a bit much lately.
The video I saw about calorie density was by Healthy Emmie and is called " The calorie density of every single cooking method"
It really made me think!
When it comes to potatoes, I wouldn't get too caught up in this because it's very minimal. It's not like they go from 400 calories per pound to 800. Not eating air fried/baked potatoes would be a minor tweak someone could implement if they are hitting a plateau.
How many lbs if taters a day? I’m finding myself eating a lot 😮
What's the difference between potatoe reset and Mary's mini?
Mary's Mini you can pick from several starches....you pick your one starch and eat that for 10 days with green and yellow vegetables. Potato Reset is potatoes and non-starchy veggies, no other starches. Not everyone on Mary's Mini choses potatoes, some choose rice, some choose corn.
Do you get a lot of gas from the potatoes?
I don't but some people do in the beginning.
