My steam mop doesn't work anymore, no steam, causes and FIX, Never use Tap water!

The steam wasn't coming out of my reasonably new mop, so tried Calgon liquid that I use for washing machine, steam came out in seconds.

I would like to try this. I’ve tried vinegar and CLR. It won’t steam. I actually was moving and my husband left it in the back bed of our truck and it rained a tiny bit outside. I’m praying I can get it to work again. Thanks for the tip. I’ll let you know.

Tried white vinegar and cleaning vinegar on the CLR. Next few years we definitely will be getting the water treatment system on the house. Our water definitely is a problem.

Usually you can maintain stuff like this by running vinegar thru system periodically. What do you think of that method?

I only used distilled water since buying my steam mop #2 because #1 clogged from tap and mop #2 now is clogged

Then the water you were buying was not distilled was just filtered that's different

Does your model have any kind of internal pump or is the water pumped by the reciprocating motion of the handle ? A neighbor tossed a Shark S 3550 model which I intend to fix. Thanks for the video

no Eletric pump, just handle powered pump.

Can’t open the pressure chamber. Screws are seized and now stripped. Trying vinegar. Not helping much after hours of running vinegar through. And suggestions for household fix without opening and without buying descaler?
