Give N'Diaye that 20k if he accepts, he's just too good. You won't find the left back of that quality in next 3 seasons. Considering how hard it is to improve the squad with current reputation, it cloud be wise to keep your best players in.
He can give him 20k starting with next year. It would be a possibility to go up in the prem and even if not, surely the wage gap will be closer next season if he's limit was 13.5k this year.
Literally it's time to break the bank now, get promoted and he's sorted, NDiaye can be the LB for the whole save
N'Diaye wants a locked in release clause and a non promotion release clause, so he would probably be gone in the Winter, just for very little money
Try giving Ricky D a promise. Fulfilling it. Then see if he's open to talks
That might not be a concern after next episode... 😬

The reputation system needs an overhaul. It’s very frustrating that it’s so difficult to attract players against lower league clubs.
Think it's time to see if you can get some premier league loans in. Probably the best way to improve the squad and just take the hit on expensive wages for the season.
He bumped the wage budget up to 200k, can easily afford to have a couple people on 20-25k.
in regards to your contract offering, at 34:20 when you remove promises that they have asked for they generally make that up by wanting more money, look at the player interest bar when you have submitted that offer in drops dramatically
To add to this, if you just end chat like Jack did rather than saying that sounds reasonable to the agent, sometimes it uses a different wage to what was initially assumed and that seems like what happened to Jack

Thanks for all the great content, Jack! I have a quick tip for you because I haven’t seen you do it all in FM24.
Always ask the agent to lower their demands when you talk about wages and the agent will generally do it. It can make players more affordable than you think.
Good tip! I do usually do this but it's often removed from the video as due to our reputation and the calabre of players they're not willing to drop their demands
relegation release clause of £0 can be good for lowering demands as well

When it comes to bugs with the game causing unhappiness, other FM creators just use the editor on video to resolve this if they have it as an option - don't think anyone watching wants you to lose fan favourites over the game breaking!
I think Martinez will be better this season with a year in England under his belt, hopefully he has a good pre season and starts showing his ability
I do remember seeing that release clause in the contract the other day and had a feeling Jack had not seen it. I thought to myself..."oh dear". Did not expect to see the real life "oh dear" so soon

You may have to look abroad for obsure players with decent release clauses so teams stop poaching who you find.

Hi Jack. Do you ever go through the list of released players on July 1st. Thats where I pick up most of my players. I’m on the same journey with the same issues. Just recently promoted to the championship with Dulwich Hamlet. The 1 club save videos are class, keep them coming. 👍🏼

Once you ask the agent about the players demands to sign him you should always contest it as the wage goes down 90 % of the time .

dlp(de) and ap(at) in the same team can work, but if you drop the dlp I'd be tempted to put that attacking playmaker on support so he can link up the play from dm to am a lot better
Wee tip for you, everytime you ask the agent for how much wages a player wants always contest it! i've noticed it never backfires but ALOT of the time it will reduce the amount of wages they want :)
As a lower reputation team I can tell you it backfires almost always!
The pre contract promises can massively affect the player's desire to sign for you (and his contract demands). You can see how he rates your club compared to others in the lower left. Sometimes you need to sell your project to them, especially if your rep is low, promise them playoffs this year and promotion next, as one example. For certain players it might even be ok to settle for a non promotion release clause if that's what it takes. If that player is good enough to make the difference, then worth it.
Other people mentioned how you can get wage demands lower by talking to the agent but you can also negotiate other things like squad status and certain clauses iirc.

I believe the wage issue with Dal was to do with the promise of the club being a stepping stone, basically players are comfortable taking a wage cut plus game time and an option to move but when that option is not promised then they want a wage increase to stay permanently

I think the issue with the player was the amount of time between speaking to the agent and offering the deal. Sometimes it can take a day or two for that to be reflected which is the case when you get them to accept lower wages

You should think about the no loans thing. Getting one or two stars can't hurt. Think Mason Mount at Derby, Harry Kane in v.early career in L1/L2. Helps develop them and helps you in a spot, win-win.

1. What clubs are the ones you always like to look at for potential signings? I know you’ve mentioned multiple over the course of the save but the only one my dumbass remembers is Generation Foot. Lol!
2. Is it actually possible to tell your scouts to only look for players who might actually be interested in joining?! That would be life changing haha!
If it's a season to sort of settle and prep for a push the following season, surely it's got to be looking for loans from big prem sides then next season, higher rep means more players available

I think Dal increased his wage demands because you wouldn't let him treat the club as a steppingstone had the same happening to me in my Luton save first couple years in the premier league

Feel like you should keep N’diya despite the contract request. He will make you better this year as you push for promotion, then if you do make it to the prem you could renew his contract.
Appreciate he could get snapped up with 6 months left, but if you are looking like promotion could be on the cards, £20k would be low for a prem contract so just take the risk a few weeks before January

I would offer NDiaye new contract with release clause. Its very unlikly that someone will buy him with new contract a than you have time to offer him new one during the season without the clause. And if you dont want to sell someone, than choose rejects all bids and it will to appear. Once i tried to set a value for what i want for a player to be sell and teams did not bid higher than that and they will not trigger the clause :D

A League i suggest is in indonesia, really good prospects with 250k ass a max you have to pay (or a bit less), you can get players of 100~Ca with 130PA really easy, also wages are cheap
100 CA is that of league two players! 130 CA is top half championship, sadly thats below what I need
You may have answered this before, but how come you don't utilize trials for free agents more? Find it a good way to keep track of the free agents I may want. Also negates the need to get a scout report as well
I uyse them a lot, but in porevious transfer windows players I trial instantly recieved bids from other English clubs

I do prefer the transfer specials to be a little more streamlined. Feels like the same as last season where it's a full hour video and at the end basically nobody has signed. Then all the transfers are made in the next episode or off camera. Just my 2 cents on this.

I didn't know it existed until after the bid was made, as shown in the video I did try to renew his contract but the terms were awful and he almost certainly would have turned any deal down anyway
