I’d give it 2/10. Mainly for the fact you did end up getting him in the end, but also I would trust you to find another player of similar quality from a country no one has heard of before

I know N'Goma is our legend and now highest earner, but do you not think the Italian guy or Camara should be starting instead? Get them developed and increase transfer rep, Murph can stay around as a squad player and all round top lad

I'd sign another defensive minded DM as the backup for Joao Victor, not only because of potential injuries, but also for subs during clutch time
Only 10 minutes but I am praying you go back in for Fawns! He looks insane for the money, maybe offer him higher appearance fee so you don’t need to upset the wage structure.
Nice window. I feel like with his consistency Fawns would be best suited to the 3rd CB role, with Jedinak 4th and Mepham your 5th emergency guy.
That said, it is all dependant on finding the kind of quality first teamer who would want to join the mighty Rugby Town.

Mosquera actually looks like a crazily good attacking wingback, between him and Boulton that is a crazy rotation! Maybe Mosquera can plau vs weaker teams?

At this stage in the future always nice to see what older players who are young in the present want to join you. I once had Bellingham and mbappe at a west brom save. Would be a fun idea to go through some well known wonder kids from the start to see where they developed too and see if you can get 1. Would be a good thumbnail 😅

I feel as if high leadership is more useful in terms of getting that one player who you can ask to have a word with a complaining team mate in order to get them to drop whatever issue is. Seem a few guides to mentoring which have mentioned that it can also impact how much influence they can have on other players - ie, your mentor should ideally have high leadership (other things being equal)

Good window. Think the tactic is slightly too attacking considering the level tho. I think dropping at least 1 of both the AMs and WBs to support is probably gonna be necessary

I wonder if there is a future where Boulton moves into midfield and Mosquera plays RB. Given the mentioned dearth of good WB's, he looks like a really good prospect
Also - all those attacking midfielders (+ guy in Jan)... it might be time to experiment with breaking up the Jolly Rogers and playing a narrow 4-2-3-1
In all onesty, i think that thsi team could easily aim for 10th place. But i also think that you need another centerback, Gasperi Jednak and the new guy arent enough, expetially if you want to have deep cup runs. The rest of the team looks brillant tho

Some good signings, the team is shaping up nicely and Fawns looks very good. Even though you signed Fawns, are you still going to sign that Adam Bradley bloke at Liverpool as well?
My go to for getting someone to agree to lower wages is to set the relegation release clause to £0. And then just bet on myself to not get relegated. Makes the season much more exciting!
As much as Jack was scammed out of 3 million for Stromberg, then pulling an uno reverse and scamming Brighton for 10 mil for him is a miracle.

I still think a squad role DM would be beneficial. The back ups you have there mostly can't defend which could become a problem.
Otherwise last 3 weeks of the window should be looking for gems.
I am unconvinced by the last transfer for Mosquera. Not because you can't get a profit but because I think one of the 6 slots for u21 players is more valuable and now you may not be able to get a good deal if a u21 becomes unhappy in January etc...
Having said that, I think the squad looks good, lots of attacking quality. I think you've done a good job. :)

@@oikhena well he (hopefully) doesn't need to have much game time over Boulton and is an adequate backup with his physicals and mentals

I always admire my empire of wonderkids from the tactics screen. That's a very solid 'first season in the prem' team. Commenting to try and negate the UA-cam algorithim shenanigans as the vid didn't show up in the normal feed today. Silly UA-cam.

Is it just me or Boulton should be the starting RCB and the new guy Mosquera the new RWB?
Boulton sadly has no knowledge of CB, training him in it would severely impact his ability to be an elite player but eating up his current ability. His physicals and mentals going forward would be wasted at CB massively too
hey jack, i want to ask you about managing national teams in football manager. you said it yourself that managing national teams in football manager is an "eh" thing at best. but in real life, in my opinion anyway, it is one of the biggest thing you can achieve as a football manager, especially if you win a cup. like, i don't know about you but i feel like a world cup is at least worth 2-3 champions league cup. so do you have any suggestions for the game to be able to replicate this feeling better?

Do you have any affiliate clubs yet? They may help with better loans. Also I’d recommend scouting Mexican clubs this year on FM they seem to have some insane regens
