Rishi Sunak claims Conservatives can still win the next general election

- Rishi Sunak has said that Labour cannot “depress their way to victory” as he sought to defend the Conservative Party’s record of 14 years in government.
He accused Labour of attempting to reduce a succession of Tory governments to the 49 days when Liz Truss was prime minister.
He said: “What I cannot accept is Labour’s idea that all the worries you have are because of 14 years of Conservative government. That all you need to do is change the people in office and your problems will magically disappear. It’s just not true.
“Maybe they can depress their way to victory with all their talk of doom loops and gaslighting and scaremongering about pensions but I don’t think it will work because at heart we’re a nation of optimists. We’re not blind to the challenges or the threats that we face. We just have an innate belief that whatever they are we can overcome them.

His answer is let's make the people working part time do 18 hours a week. For many this will mean a 2nd job as many are part-time these days, some may be part-time due to being parents. Job vaccines have grown due to Brexit.
