Yes, pay reparations, for what the average Brit is embarrassed and has had no involvement in. Also, many of these countries wanting reparations are corrupt. If we give money to Egypt or Sudan, are you saying they would use that money at all to benefit their country, or will they just enrich corrupt politicians. Sometimes aid does more harm than good. "Most people who go to private school aren't wealthy.." Well, that's bollocks. Most people who send their kids to private schools are clearly wealthy enough to do so. Most children who attend private school come from the wealthiest families. Some students win scholarships and have their fees partially or fully covered if they are considered an asset to the school because of their excellence in which case it is the parents choice to try and make up the difference if they are less wealthy and they can either afford to do this or they can't. She's says it's cruel.. have these people have any awareness of what their party did to the least fortunate in this country? Look in the mirror and you may understand where cruelty really comes from.

    • @teasocietysunglasses5244
      @teasocietysunglasses5244 Місяць тому +1

I think you are honestly completely confused at how a society or how running a country works. If it becomes too expensive to send kids to private school those children just put pressure on the existing state school system just as it would for the NHS if private healthcare goes up.
The premise that they aren’t wealthy is true, many families often first gen immigrants scrimp and save and sacrifice their own quality of life to provide a top education for their kids. My local cornershop, first gen Bangladeshi, sent their boy to one of the best schools in the country and he’s probably got a better income than me now lol! Good for them.
I went to a rubbish local state school, half the kids I grew up with are in jail or miserable. Half of them had wet liberal middleclass parents, stuck in the 60’s.
At some point you have to stop expecting the State to solve all your problems, it’s up to you to stop thinking about yourselves, build a family and sacrifice for and think for you kids instead of me me me.
The most ironic thing about modern metro collectivism is that it is all about why everything should change to provide X for me and someone else has to pay. It’s very individualist. The original collective is the family, grow some backbone, stop drinking, eat clean, get fit, stop whinging and get out of Mum and Dad’s bedroom and work.
Stop reading doom and gloom, you are what you eat. If you want to worry about something worry about how mentally and physically unfit you’ll be in the coming war with China, Iran and Russia after a decade being fed self worth destroying neurotic left wing drivel online.
But hey don’t worry, the Right will do the heavy lifting for you as per usual so you can cry off work and game all night.

Oh Femi, I wonder what your parents feel about Reparations, our Colonial past, our rampaging around the world etc! I bet they felt gutted, listening to their daughter, doing and saying just about anything, in order to bolster up her chances of becoming Tory Leader! It's easy to ignore the fact that, Britain started diminishing, from the day, she started losing her colonies, full stop. She started losing prestige, power, wealth and her position in the world. Her foundations, might, power and wealth were based solely on her hold over the colonies. So it follows, since we profited, benefited from the Slave Trade, and colonies, we should pay Reparations. Not to worry, a day will come, when we will apologize unreservedly and also pay Reparations.
A Black woman defending Britain' past atrocities, in order to become Prime minister. Shows how guilty we feel as a Nation, since we need Femi, to whitewash our atrocities, so we can feel better about ourselves, Wow! For that, we might just make her Tory Leader, if not Prime minister.
Britain ended the Slave Trade, not because she was being humane, but for ulterior motives, full stop. Lincoln fought the Confederates, not to free the slaves, but to preserve the Union.
Femi dear, this sort of betrayal does not go unpunished. Even in this Debate, under all the stress of Treachery, your English Accent is unraveling. This betrayal of your roots, will eat into your soul, your being, and in years to come, you will wish, you never went down this road, the same road, that the likes of Candace, Scott, Kanye etc are on!

So you got one candidate who ordered colouring over a cartoon because it was too welcoming to kids seeking asylum. Another who hacked an opposition members website to write 'nice things' about Tories. Two of the most charmless people to ever contend for the leadership.

I voted Reform in protest. I know that means I essentially voted for Labour I could not bring myself to vote for either. I also voted “Remain” during the EU referendum. Admittedly I am a women of many apparent contradictions but I’m sure I’m not alone!! 😂 oh and of course I’m evil too, because nobody with a different political worldview to oneself does anything for reasons that make logical sense to them these days - clearly we all have hatred in our hearts!

If reparations to the colonized and enslaved is not coming, why not return African Kings' crowns, Artifacts and crowns laying in UK museums. That could be a good start. Our African ancestors who resisted the British have never rested. The remains laying in UK museums is not fair and not justice. Some wrongs need to be corrected.

Objectively, both US Republicans and Tories have put forward many bright, capable, and internationally respected leaders. If democracy requires at least two healthy parties, then surely the state of democracy has been damaged by the implosion of sound conservative representation.

@@ria.ethyria Its the puberty blockers which do carry a small risk of sterility. The problem was one of the Tories own doing as they were in charge of an under funded NHS that handed them out like candy because it was cheaper than carrying out full psych evaluations and organizing step-by-step support and therapy to ensure that transition is right for the patient and how to go about that with the least harm to them.

@@kevinsmarts9953 I know there is a risk but detransitioning numbers are less than 0.5% and most often due to societal pressure. Though she tries to imply the numbers are way higher than that.
I didn't know that about the Tories handing them out without proper evaluations - any medical decision should be properly informed and signed off; puberty blockers are no exception to that, but they shouldn't be banned altogether like Badenoch wants. So long as everyone is agreed about a drug and understands any risks or side-effects, I don't see the problem. Badenoch just hates transgender people.

Jenrick of course is lying about Foreign National Offenders. Yes, there are over 10,000 but the ECHR has nothing to do with them not being deported. Indeed, the numbers since 2020 through 2023 are less than 2010 to 2019. The report stated there was not enough trained staff to deal with the numbers as the Government had cut staff numbers.
