One thing I had started doing for every new character since Banjo was go into training mode and turning on the slowest speed just to go through as many of their animations as possible before even trying to land any hits with their moves. There's just so many animation details that go unloved and unnoticed that elevate everyone's personalities and styles, and it feels cool to find things you'd never see during regular game play. Heck I'll even look up idle animations from other fighting games if I can find videos of them just to sit and admire how well made they are
11:32 what I think is even more interesting is these blasters have a small lingering hitbox one them during the final smash, and dark samus (who lacks the booster during her final smash) lacks this small hitbox.
Hey remember how Samus changes the color of her visor when using her missiles? Well for Samus' other colors actually have a different color visor instead of using blue when using a missile. Here's what color the visor changes to with each color. Color 2 (Fusion Suit): Yellow Color 3 (Missile NES Sprite): Yellow Color 4 (Dark Suit): Green Color 5 (Gravity Suit): Green Color 6 (MS-06 Zaku): Slightly lighter Blue Color 7 (Light Suit): Orange Color 8 (Power Trooper): Slightly darker Blue (I think)
13:54 I think I mentioned this back in that same video, but Donkey Kong actually has something similar with his cargo throw. When he holds the fighter over his head, he's grabbing the fighter with the arm that's behind him. However, when DK turns around, he actually quickly switches arms. The animation is also similar to how he holds barrels in Donkey Kong Country Returns, and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. He'll switch which hand is holding the barrel when he turns around.
Oh there's a bunch of funny little animations many people tend to miss, here's just a few: - Ivysaur, when using the Dragoon, sits rather than stands. It's notable as the sitting position is almost identical to one of the Gen I sprites - A very specific one, but when Peach uses a battering item, she spins it after swinging - Sometimes, when Mega Man takes damage, his eyes become fuzzy and static-y - R.O.B has eyelids, and will actually frown with them in certain attacks, like his throws - Incineroar has retractable claws that can be seen in it's FSmash - A few characters, like Piranha Plant and Steve?/Alex/Zombie/Enderman will point forwards after using an assist trophy - Wario's got a few. With his Nair, Bair and Uair, he has a shocked look upon hitting the ground, but if you use his Dair, he gets briefly stuck in the ground and wiggles a little. Wario also looks shocked when using his DSmash - Bowser does some kind of weird 'block' motion when doing a dash attack with a battering item - On the subject of Bowser, his horns briefly enlarge, explaining what the first hitbox of the move is on his horns - When using either his Hellsweep (Shoryuken input+B) or his Triple Spin Kicks, Kazuya's torso twists in an unnatural way. While this might just seem like a weird oversight to many, it's actually been a thing in Tekken since the beginning - Not sure how overlooked this one is, but Palutena's landing animation from a full hop has her do a twirl - For some reason, Daisy smiles while trapped in a Minecart
The minecart gives Daisy thoughts of the only franchise she is consistently cared about in, Mario Kart, so she smiles. Just waiting for a "Please don't break the minecart. The A/C is on, she has water, and is listening to C418" meme with daisy in a minecart instead of a dog in a car
Wario feels like the attacks were done accidentally, his shocked face has no idea what's going on lol Speaking of shock, all characters on screen will exhibit a shocked face during hero's self destruction
Another interesting thing about Samus' back boosters is that it makes her final Smash different than Dark Samus'. The boosters activate as you described, and they have a hitbox, since Dark Samus doesn't have boosters, Dark Samus doesn't have the hitboxes in their Final Smash
@@zpellet6326 Oh, gosh ... I forgot Ken was even considered an echo because of how LITERALLY DIFFERENT he is from Ryu. I also forgot that Daisy ever had the differences. I guess, as of the current version, that Dark Samus may be the only echo with ONE real difference from their base fighter. Everything is the same EXCEPT for that little hitbox being present in Samus, right? With Chrom and Ken, there's multiple different attacks or damages from their base fighter (enough that I don't think they should be called echos, personally)
I have two secrets "animations": - Robin's book desing changes depending on the charging of his neutral special (thunder= one lighting, elthunder= double lighting, arcthunder= circle with spark, thoron= lighting arrow) - Pyra and Mythra's final smash show green light lines on there bodies, with actually happens on Xeno2 when they use a special, it's more visible on level 3 and 4
Not just final smash for Pyra and Mythra. Their ether lines also show up during Mythra's neutral-special and Pyra's side-special since those are the one that correspond to their level 3s. Something specific to Smash is that their ether lines actually change color to match their costume, turning red with their P5 alt, and Pyra's turning blue (but not Mythra's) with their P7 alt. (Fun fact: if you use these in Xenoblade 2 while they have their swimsuits equipped, you can actually see large spots light up on the backs of their hands where they'd normally be covered by their gauntlets. Not a Smash animation, but a cool Easter egg none the less. A complete map of their ether lines and spots, along with those for a few other Blades, can be found in concept artwork for the game.)
In sm4sh, when a character takes a mushroom, they'll play an animation which interupt any attacks they might be doing while grabbing the mushroom. There is a different animation for the poison mushroom too. In ultimate, it now just makes the character bigger and doesn't interupt any attack. I prefered the extra animations tbh.
@@PrincessDella I didn't know about Brawl, didn't really play the game lol I think it's really cool because it adds just more personality to the character
When Lucario gets angry or combative in the movie, the appendages on his head rise. So I always assumed it was like a dog raising its hackles when it’s aggressive. Same type of animalistic instinct.
There's a villager one which is pretty hard to do You need to hit an up air and hit the ground with the turnips still being in the air if you do It right villager does a little getting up animation
I love these nice little details in the animations. You almost never notice them mostly because animations are always cancelled for quick movement. Even though I've known about most of these nice little details, I never knew some of the other things like Snake covering his ears when he's next to a grenade. Would love to see another video like this.
Cloud's limit break (full charge) and hero's "psych up" share the exact same "particle effect" with colour palette swap :D Fitting considering they come from square & enix respectively, as if their source material is the one reusing the animation
@@peterduprey7286 I assume you mean the visual effects and attack lines? The punch "effects" aren't really a mac specific thing necessarily, there's a bunch of different attack types that are shared across characters depending on what type of attack it is. It just so happens that a lot of basic attacks are punches and Little Mac is all punches.
Incineroar also has a unique animation when he Alolan Whips an opponent slowed down by the Timer item. Since the rebound off the ropes takes so long he just waits there crouched.
adding on to this but despite the slowdown, you can still get a strong lariat when they're in that distance where you're normally supposed to get lariat (this will cancel his squat before he raises his arms and confused face) They'll look like they get vacuumed in to his arm
I don't know if it counts as an animation, but in the Kirby games, whenever Kirby lands after a jump, a tiny star pops out. Similarly in Smash, a tiny star will also pop out when he lands, even after using aerials and a few specials as well!
Sonic had a different animation when using spindash against a wall in Brawl and 4 but not in Ultimate because he just bounce against it. It is a reference to the classic games when he runs against a wall.
I think pokemon _is_ a good example of the fact that making so many animations isn't possible with a low amount of development time, the low effort looking animations are because of the fact that they've had to animate over 900 3d models with walking, special attacks, physical attacks, getting hit, etc.
And on the inverse, how much easier it is to give great animations when there’s fewer models to work with. The most recent game, Legends Arceus, had only around 250 or so Pokémon in it, and it had objectively the best animations in the series for those few Pokémon!
Lately Gamefreak has just been reusing all the animations and models from previous games. Sword and Shield reusing animations didn't bother me until they claimed they were cutting the pokedex in game to focus on improving animations... only for them to not improve them at all.
5:26 “This is probably why Corrin is barefoot all the time” As a certified Fates freak 7 days a week etc. I can confirm that that’s not the reason it’s just that Fates just tends to have extremely horny character and class design
Some animations do some interesting things when slowed down. For example, during the startup of MK's forward air, in 1/4 he very quickly twirls his sword around. This can be seen more clearly if you combine 1/4 speed with Timer. This doesn't appear to be intentional, though.
Pit/Dark Pit’s spinning Palutena Bow/Silver Bow when they shield shift. Just shield and start shifting to see! I’d also like to honorably mention all the times a character spins so quickly during an attack animation that you don’t notice it. Examples include Ganon’s neutral air, and pit’s forward and upsmash. Also, please don’t slow down and look at pit’s back air. Just don’t.
If you don’t have enough MP to do Kazap with Hero, then he would an animation where he looks at his sword in confusion or disappointment. #2 if you try to do a down B spell but have no MP, then hero would look at his hand in shock it’s actually hilarious. I know some of these animations because I love paying attention to these little details. Keep it up PJiggles I can’t wait for part 2
Toon Link has a little afraid/worrying animation when tossing a bomb while standing still, I think it also happens while throwing it in the air. He’s a cartoon little boy after all. I also love the animations that happen when failing to pull a third bomb or not having the boomerang available.
One of my favorite weird animations is when you footstool Squirtle while he's doing side special, you just stun him and he gets all confused. Also the funny hit animation you get when you try to footstool a crouching Piranha Plant and he just bites you.
I believe with corrin's "spears" they're actually them shifting that particular hand/foot to dragon form, as if you look very closely to said form, both sets of legs end in a hand-shaped foot.
Snake is probably more realistically getting tinnitus from the explosion. Something that happens in mgs from snake eater onwards when you’re too close to an explosion and it will become near impossible to hear anything but a ringing noise for a short time.
[7:25] I don’t think Pikachu’s cheeks glow when using more physical attacks since he has the ability static which means anything that comes in contact with him gets electrocuted. He only needs to use his cheek reserves when shooting out electricity.
Pjiggles is the true chad by highlighting and showing off the smash teams hard work in smash bros that gets unnoticed Yes the face of a chad is a jigglypuff
If you do another part, here is something I mentioned in a video before: I just want to mention that ryu's opponent's have certain animations when getting hit by Shin-Shroyiu. ( hit in the stomach makes them "crumble" forward. Then they get hit under the chin and after that their neck snaps back) As far as I know this is unique to only him All humanoid character have this animation only for his final smash (but only in Ultimate)
When Link does his taunts when putting his sword back in his sheath, he pulls it down, because the original animation is theoretically impossible (you can't put a long sword on your back by letting it slide vertically, you'll have to have very long arms), so that animation made that possible
Corrin's limbs extend, and likely look the same, because they're his dragon form, and in the dragon form all 4 limbs are identical similar to many quadrupeds, it's not like it's some weapon or spell, their body morphs into that shape,
Small note about Samus' backburners in her Final Smash- they have a very small hitbox. It's not super impactful, but if you miss it might catch an opponent charging a smash attack too close. As Dark Samus lacks the burners, she also lacks the hitbox
Plz do more on this topic, I've been waiting since the games release for someone to talk about these great animations, there where a few i didn't know about so that was super fun, my suggestion for part 2 (plz do more, i beg) is K.rool does a front flip when in his down air or sonic doing a backflip when he runs into a wall
My favorite animation is the one that Kazuya does when he uses his Roundhouse to Triple Spin Kicks, as the weird animation quirk is a 1 for 1 recreation of how it looks in the Tekken games.
4:45 you need to have Mega Man fail to throw the gear backwards while turning him around with Mario’s cape/Mii Down B to try and catch a glimpse of his face.
Jeez.. PJiggles, the "dreadlocks" on Lucario rising are just a reference to Shounen anime when a character "powers up", their hair tends to rise, as if the power is so great that's like air pushing off of them causing hair and clothing to rise and sort of flail around, especially if its like DBZ/S style...
i noticed that sephiroth switches to his right hand during that big swing at the beginning of his final smash. this isn't the first time sephiroth has officially used his right hand. it's been shown in the original game, movie, concept art, and even the remake. i love this little detail because it references something that many fans of final fantasy 7 missed.
oh and here's something else about sephiroth that's a bit more known, but also easy to miss. sephiroth snaps his fingers when doing his neutral air attack
The pits will separate and reattach their blades depending on which attack you just used (one double sided bow/blade or two blades, one in each hand) and it will remain that way for all animations until you use a move that changes it.
3:30 I am pretty sure its because his hat would fly away with the brim in the front, since he is dropping really quick. Turning it around negates the air resistance i think.
R.O.B. has a lot of cool animations. 1. His standing and crouched idles reference the idea that he's an aging robot. When standing, he keeps dozing off, and when crouching, he occasionally re-adjusts his head. 2. The original R.O.B. had 5 accessory slots, and all of them are used in Smash. Obviously, one of them is used for his gyro spinner (which, if you slow down the animation, it turns out that he stores in a flattened state under his base), but the others contain these "flight fins" which R.O.B. deploys every time he uses his Up Special until he lands on solid ground. These flight fins will remained deployed even if he's grabbing onto the ledge after using Up Special. 3. After he gets knocked to the ground, his get-up animation has him extending his arms over his head and doing a horizontal roll. During this animation, he actually shuts his eyes. I think this was meant to convey that he's not sure this horizontal roll will really work or something? It's a fun detail, though, and you can't really see it without using a frame-by-frame.
A little detail I love The back air animation of Fox usually show him do a kick, then he hit the ground However, due to the fact he have the strongest gravity, if you the back air close to the ground he will tumble pretty hard
The way Luigi spins during a misfire vs not spinning normally kinda reminds me of how bullets used to work in guns. In the early days of firearms, rifle barrels were often smooth on the inside and out. It's part of what made muskets rather difficult to use in comparison to more modern rifles. Later (and still to this day) most guns were made with barrels that had spiraled grooves on the inside, which caused bullets to spin as they were fired. The spinning made the bullets fly straighter.
Not really a “secret” animation but judging by the shocked expression and frantic movement combined with erratic gunfire, I like to imagine duck hunt’s forward smash is the dog dodging in a panic as the player does what we’ve all tried to do and shoots at him
As a Yoshi main, I can say that if he uses his fair close to the ground, he’ll land on the ground, but it’s more like he fell on his side. But then he just gets up immediately
I enjoy the landing up air animations for characters who flip upside down. Kirby is the one I always noticed, because he's very bouncy when returning to an upright position
0:47 was that even a thing in the previous smash games? Edit: i checked brawl and yes Luigi did have that in brawl Snake also did the thing with his grenade in brawl as well
A couple more fun animations I noticed: -When Dark Samus turns around from a dash but doesn’t resume dashing, she does a weird neck-shoulder-twisty-thing that I unfortunately don’t know how to describe. -When Bowser Jr. throws an item while dashing, he does a little spin. -When Banjo swings a Home-Run Bat, Kazooie briefly pops out during the swing to see how far the opponent flies. -When Banjo & Kazooie attack with the Dragoon, Kazooie is waving back to the camera.
If it makes you feel any better, Lucario's... we'll call them dreadlocks -- floating upwards may be intended to be similar to an anime character's hair going crazy when they power up. Especially with the size of the Aura around his hands growing -- they may be pushing the dreadlocks upwards
Guess that confirms Ice Climbers and ambidextrous, unless there’s something about ice climbing and hammers I don’t know about. Really enjoyed seeing these animations, especially the Banjo and Kazooie one.

- Ivysaur, when using the Dragoon, sits rather than stands. It's notable as the sitting position is almost identical to one of the Gen I sprites
- A very specific one, but when Peach uses a battering item, she spins it after swinging
- Sometimes, when Mega Man takes damage, his eyes become fuzzy and static-y
- R.O.B has eyelids, and will actually frown with them in certain attacks, like his throws
- Incineroar has retractable claws that can be seen in it's FSmash
- A few characters, like Piranha Plant and Steve?/Alex/Zombie/Enderman will point forwards after using an assist trophy
- Wario's got a few. With his Nair, Bair and Uair, he has a shocked look upon hitting the ground, but if you use his Dair, he gets briefly stuck in the ground and wiggles a little. Wario also looks shocked when using his DSmash
- Bowser does some kind of weird 'block' motion when doing a dash attack with a battering item
- On the subject of Bowser, his horns briefly enlarge, explaining what the first hitbox of the move is on his horns
- When using either his Hellsweep (Shoryuken input+B) or his Triple Spin Kicks, Kazuya's torso twists in an unnatural way. While this might just seem like a weird oversight to many, it's actually been a thing in Tekken since the beginning
- Not sure how overlooked this one is, but Palutena's landing animation from a full hop has her do a twirl
- For some reason, Daisy smiles while trapped in a Minecart
Being trapped in a minecart and Daisy's just like: _This is fine_
The minecart gives Daisy thoughts of the only franchise she is consistently cared about in, Mario Kart, so she smiles.
Just waiting for a "Please don't break the minecart. The A/C is on, she has water, and is listening to C418" meme with daisy in a minecart instead of a dog in a car
Wario feels like the attacks were done accidentally, his shocked face has no idea what's going on lol
Speaking of shock, all characters on screen will exhibit a shocked face during hero's self destruction
It's a shame his name isn't Steve? since that would be fun
@@YounesLayachi I never noticed because my friends and I are busy making our own shocked faces!
Another interesting thing about Samus' back boosters is that it makes her final Smash different than Dark Samus'.
The boosters activate as you described, and they have a hitbox, since Dark Samus doesn't have boosters, Dark Samus doesn't have the hitboxes in their Final Smash
Not only that, why would she need those? Samus does to keep her suit on (unlike in Brawl). Dark Samus's body IS the suit.
Holy gosh ... Does this mean that an echo has different hitboxes?
(Chrom is not an echo in my mind)
@@amoura39 ken, pre-patch daisy, Dark Samus, and Chrom share that then.
@@amoura39 They just made ken an echo fighter because they wanted more characters to be included in the "show echo fighters" setting .
I have two secrets "animations":
- Robin's book desing changes depending on the charging of his neutral special (thunder= one lighting, elthunder= double lighting, arcthunder= circle with spark, thoron= lighting arrow)
- Pyra and Mythra's final smash show green light lines on there bodies, with actually happens on Xeno2 when they use a special, it's more visible on level 3 and 4
Not just final smash for Pyra and Mythra.

They had those animations in Brawl too... I always remembered they existed in that game cause they showed Mario's growing animation in the intro
@@PrincessDella I didn't know about Brawl, didn't really play the game lol
I think it's really cool because it adds just more personality to the character
Without the animation leads to more fun, when a mushroom touches a character during a move and the move becomes huge
When Lucario gets angry or combative in the movie, the appendages on his head rise. So I always assumed it was like a dog raising its hackles when it’s aggressive. Same type of animalistic instinct.
There's a villager one which is pretty hard to do
You need to hit an up air and hit the ground with the turnips still being in the air if you do It right villager does a little getting up animation

I love these nice little details in the animations. You almost never notice them mostly because animations are always cancelled for quick movement. Even though I've known about most of these nice little details, I never knew some of the other things like Snake covering his ears when he's next to a grenade. Would love to see another video like this.
Same, theres alot of animations Im surprised I noticed but not other ppl
3:30 Power dunk's hat animation has been like this really since Terry's first real use of power dunk in game, in fact kof '95 even has this!
Cloud's limit break (full charge) and hero's "psych up" share the exact same "particle effect" with colour palette swap :D
Fitting considering they come from square & enix respectively, as if their source material is the one reusing the animation
Neat. Did you know almost every character in the game reuses Little Mac’s punch effects for their more basic attacks?
@@peterduprey7286 bruh xD
@@peterduprey7286 I assume you mean the visual effects and attack lines?
The punch "effects" aren't really a mac specific thing necessarily, there's a bunch of different attack types that are shared across characters depending on what type of attack it is. It just so happens that a lot of basic attacks are punches and Little Mac is all punches.
I love all of the landing aerial animations. I think Byleth's down air has a cool one
Incineroar also has a unique animation when he Alolan Whips an opponent slowed down by the Timer item. Since the rebound off the ropes takes so long he just waits there crouched.
adding on to this but despite the slowdown, you can still get a strong lariat when they're in that distance where you're normally supposed to get lariat (this will cancel his squat before he raises his arms and confused face)
They'll look like they get vacuumed in to his arm
@@camo6465 they need to balance it though because if they only have 500 out of 950, the fanbase gets all prissy
@@velvetbutterfly
Yeah. Legends Arceus got away with it because it was very spin-off-esque, which means that it doesn’t need all the Pokémon lol
Lately Gamefreak has just been reusing all the animations and models from previous games. Sword and Shield reusing animations didn't bother me until they claimed they were cutting the pokedex in game to focus on improving animations... only for them to not improve them at all.
@@pebl7735
Legends Arceus was all new animations though
Edit: models too
Fun fact: if Luigi uses green missile and hits a wall, there’s a chance he’ll get his head stuck into the wall, and he’ll pull it out shortly after

I always found it really funny whenever you perform up air with King K. Rool, he laughs for a bit right after using it.
Some animations do some interesting things when slowed down. For example, during the startup of MK's forward air, in 1/4 he very quickly twirls his sword around. This can be seen more clearly if you combine 1/4 speed with Timer. This doesn't appear to be intentional, though.

Do you realize the pun that you just made?

11:40 Lucina also has a different animation for her neutral special, and it also translates to Kirby's copy ability
It's always a monumental event whenever pjiggles uploads
16:41 incineroar doing poses while sora gets sent to the underworld is a hilarious image.
I believe with corrin's "spears" they're actually them shifting that particular hand/foot to dragon form, as if you look very closely to said form, both sets of legs end in a hand-shaped foot.
Snake is probably more realistically getting tinnitus from the explosion. Something that happens in mgs from snake eater onwards when you’re too close to an explosion and it will become near impossible to hear anything but a ringing noise for a short time.
those landing animations I didnt know about just makes me give even more respect to the animators. cause dang they Really love their details.
If you do another part, here is something I mentioned in a video before:
I just want to mention that ryu's opponent's have certain animations when getting hit by Shin-Shroyiu.
( hit in the stomach makes them "crumble" forward. Then they get hit under the chin and after that their neck snaps back)
As far as I know this is unique to only him
All humanoid character have this animation only for his final smash
(but only in Ultimate)
Ridley's tail sweetspot can crumple as well, but it is on Ridley and on an extremely small sweetspot, so you don't see it often.
I believe it also shows up in Stamina if you KO an opponent without knockback (i.e. Fox's laser).
After jumping from ledge and landing on the ground, Palutana will do a spin animation.
When Link does his taunts when putting his sword back in his sheath, he pulls it down, because the original animation is theoretically impossible (you can't put a long sword on your back by letting it slide vertically, you'll have to have very long arms), so that animation made that possible
Corrin's limbs extend, and likely look the same, because they're his dragon form, and in the dragon form all 4 limbs are identical similar to many quadrupeds, it's not like it's some weapon or spell, their body morphs into that shape,
Why does the dragon have thumbs?
@@Liggliluff same reason cats have one claw that's offset to the side? Or since it's magic maybe it's a remnant of the opposable thumbs a human has
Small note about Samus' backburners in her Final Smash- they have a very small hitbox. It's not super impactful, but if you miss it might catch an opponent charging a smash attack too close. As Dark Samus lacks the burners, she also lacks the hitbox
You could try to see megaman’s expression when failing backwards neutral B in wii fit trainer’s stage, there’s a big mirror on the back.
I love Lucas's animation for landing during neutral air, i just think it looks nice, it's especially fun to spam, makes for a good taunt

6:30 T'wasn't awkward until you made it awkward, pal. ;)
4:28 I would have loved it if you had sneaked a Sonic in there!
3:30
I am pretty sure its because his hat would fly away with the brim in the front, since he is dropping really quick.
It's a fun detail, though, and you can't really see it without using a frame-by-frame.
these tiny animations make me smile, the small attention to detail really shoes how much love the folks at Sora put into the game
4:00 I actually did know this, I noticed it in one of the trailers for the game before it came out
A little detail I love
The back air animation of Fox usually show him do a kick, then he hit the ground
However, due to the fact he have the strongest gravity, if you the back air close to the ground he will tumble pretty hard
11:56
That also applies to Kirby's copied version of Villager & Isabelle's Pocket animations.
(5:20) The thumb, and also because it's black. The fingers have gloves, but the toes does not.
13:43 he look at you
The way Luigi spins during a misfire vs not spinning normally kinda reminds me of how bullets used to work in guns.
The spinning made the bullets fly straighter.
the thing with terry at 3:17, he flips it becuse the wind from going down so fast would throw down his cap
Not really a “secret” animation but judging by the shocked expression and frantic movement combined with erratic gunfire, I like to imagine duck hunt’s forward smash is the dog dodging in a panic as the player does what we’ve all tried to do and shoots at him
There’s an animation error with Dedede where if you up tilt and move forward after, the hammer will spin around
As a Yoshi main, I can say that if he uses his fair close to the ground, he’ll land on the ground, but it’s more like he fell on his side. But then he just gets up immediately
5:37 This is my best part of the whole video.. anyways happy switch 5th years anniversary
6:52 it's actually his aura lifting them up like wind, because when he gets healed the kinda flop down like the wind stopped all of a sudden
6:27 bruh every single guy in the world can do that, they just don’t got it on their head and they only have 1 of them
I enjoy the landing up air animations for characters who flip upside down. Kirby is the one I always noticed, because he's very bouncy when returning to an upright position
0:47 was that even a thing in the previous smash games?
Edit: i checked brawl and yes Luigi did have that in brawl
Snake also did the thing with his grenade in brawl as well
A couple more fun animations I noticed:
-When Dark Samus turns around from a dash but doesn’t resume dashing, she does a weird neck-shoulder-twisty-thing that I unfortunately don’t know how to describe.
14:14 what if Ice Climbers get caped? How does their hammer swap then?
If it makes you feel any better, Lucario's... we'll call them dreadlocks -- floating upwards may be intended to be similar to an anime character's hair going crazy when they power up. Especially with the size of the Aura around his hands growing -- they may be pushing the dreadlocks upwards
i know its a sponsor but I laughed too hard at this 2:10
The code “PJIGGLES” is too funny
Guess that confirms Ice Climbers and ambidextrous, unless there’s something about ice climbing and hammers I don’t know about. Really enjoyed seeing these animations, especially the Banjo and Kazooie one.
6:45 those things are what he uses to detect aura lmfao
