This Glidelock-like system was really missing on the BB58 and I do hope that Tudor will make this new buckle available in stainless steel to purchase separately for previous BB58 owners without having to buy a full bracelet.
I hope you’re right when it comes to Tudor launching more 39mm Watches. I want to buy the BB58 in black for my 30th Birthday this December but I might wait a little bit longer.. I’m really hoping for a Pepsi GMT in a slightly smaller case.
Bronze which has patinated to a rich, uneven dark gold colour, is a thing of beauty. This shiny, trashy gold but not gold colour just screams Taiwan ‘Two for Ten Dollar’. So the whole success hangs on how it will patina. Let’s see. Good clasp finally.
You didn’t mention my favorite part of this new release: the 3-6-9 numerals. They look fantastic. Don’t like the bracelet version, too goldy/bronzy but the NATO strap version looks good.
When I first got my Bronze/Bronze Oris, I wasn't keen on it because it looked like gold and far too bling. However, nearly a year later, it has become my favourite watch. I've loved watching (pardon the pun) the patina develop and little flecks on it come and go. It's all down to taste I suppose. My wrist has only gone slightly green on a couple of occasions when the weather was hot.
I had a BBGMT for about 4 months maybe? Sold it bc the watch was just too bulky and the bracelet and clasp were the most uncomfortable I’ve ever owned. I wanted to love it so much but just couldn’t. A BBGMT 58 with new clasp might just be the model I would like. Fingers crossed for it. Great video Adrian. Always love them
As much I criticized Tudor for the stupid game with the BB 58 925 (secret alloy) - I love the full Bronze BB 58. Very cool and different. And I aging is nothing I am scared of. This is also true for a watch. It gains character. Good move Tudor! And this time you even shared the information that it is an Aluminium-bronze 😘
Exactly. I never fancy any bronze or silver watches anyway, either steel or previous metal. For blackbay 58, the black one and the blue one will just do fine.
Except with 20mm Rolex glidelock extension, the tradeoff is a massive clasp. 8mm is enough which is more than the EasyLink one option adjustment 5mm system. No doubt Tudor will make this standard across their lineup and bring even more value to the consumer along with METAS. They are doing great things. Those GMT mockups have me drooling right now.
I think now with the numerals the round markers look slightly oversized, I also thought the same for the BB36, on the standard 58 I think the bezel balances well with the big markers. Maybe a 10% decrease in size would look more refined on this dial
Great to see an on the fly adjustable clasp in the BB line at long last - bloody typical it came out 4 months after I bought my BB58 Navy though ;-) Great review mate, keep em coming

Bronze is a beautifull and unique material. It's not for everyone, but it looks great if paired with the right colours in your wardrobe and darker skin tones.
I just got a call from The Tudor Boutique in Rome (on a Sunday actually). They estimated that the watch would be available for me in about a month and that I had to show up in person to collect it. I had about one month to collect it after purchase. I kept the door open and said that I was still interested and that they should call me when the watch arrived. I like the watch the way it look out of the box, but I’m concerned how it will look after a while. I agree with you, I would really see a BB58 with the T-fit, sure throw in a GMT, and definitely go METAS on a solid gold, TT or Stainless steel.
Totally agree with you, bronze looks amazing but I feel the same way, not for me. During my 35+ years journey with watches, never bought a bronze watch. Lately though I've taken an interest in bronze and when I saw the BB bronze on a matching bracelet, I thought this might be it. Well, this vid clarified things, it's a no go. I thought the bracelet had some sort of treatment at the side in contact with the wrist. To be honest, not just the stained wrist put me off, passed 20 years opt out aluminum inserts and BB doesn't want to use ceramic...Took Rolex several decades to use it, Tudor won't be different. Thank you for the review, looking forward to the next.
is the T-Fit clasp of the BB58 Bronze the same size of the clasp of the original BB58? I own the BB58 and the clasp is way way way too huge for my 15cm wrist. Sticks out alot even with Uncle Seiko's half link. Took it out of the bracelet and put it on a nato strap since day 1 and thankfully I still love it alot.

Will be interesting to see which BB variant becomes most popular - I suspect the BB black. Mind you it would be amazing to see a full gold BB. Rolex have allowed Tudor to attack mid-market niches that it doesn't want to get into, so that it can concentrate on displacing Patek.
I love my 43mm Black Bay Bronze patina after three months... Don't love that it doesn't manual wind anymore- Going to take it in tomorrow. Luckily it's still under warranty.
@@BB-gl7zt I agree, rather have yet another black bay/BB58- I’d rather see a new Pelagos that is slimmed down to BB58 dimensions. Or a GMT in the BB58 case (still a BB but more appealing that another bog standard one in a “new” case).
Great insight, as always but I must counter your relative dislike of bronze due to its unpredictable patternation . . . that's the joy!! I'm an aviation engineer and my watches must not only be resistant to intense electric fields, immersion into petrols, oils & lubricants, they must also look rough & reliable. My NOT-TUDOR bronze watch quickly adopted a rugged & fantastic appearance which I love! I know its not for everyone but if you want a watch that looks like it has endured a hard day's labour, get a BRONZE one
I´m on the verge of buying a new watch but I still have some doubts about it. I don´t know if buying a bb58 (black) or the white omega sm300. I also like a lot the Tudor 36. I own a Tudor GMT, a TH aquaracer (I really love it but i´m thinking of selling it as I understand the brand is not as good as the others) and a two tone rolex dj . Which one would you recommend? Thank you in advance!
S&g champaign dial , switched mine to leather for a change and was concerned of a lug space but it looks awesome I think . Black bezel ties it back to basics love it
Nice video, thanks! Apart from the nice watch, it’s good to see a NATO with a longer upper section, so the buckle doesn’t sit on the side of the wrist.
I would like a burgundy 58 so that there’s a black, blue and burgundy 58 (and a black, blue and burgundy 41mm BB) and upgrade all those forementioned with dive watch bracelet extensions. Then with those core colours, make a 58 red/blue GMT and keep the 41mm GMT (without dive watch extensions). THEN the gold, silver bronze and ceramic’s can all become METAS and remain as higher-level novelties. Every other BB gets discontinued and you finally have a cohesive core product line.
I know there are many opinions about Bell and Ross... But I think their stabilised bronze cases are absolutely brilliant. If this Tudor had it, I'd buy it in a minute.
Thanks for the review! I may have missed it or you haven’t mentioned the change on the dial with the introduction of numeral indexes. To be honest I prefer the classic look of the baton indexes.
I have bronze watches and love them not for looking like golden. I like the patina, but I don't think a bronze bracelet is a good idea. It will paint the wrist green :) My Helberg is with a titanium back and still some green stains on the bronze where my wrist touches the case especially during summer.
A gold 58 would be brilliant. a two tone would also look amazing. I would love a gold sports watch, something exciting, warm and a bit of dazzle. Well done mate.
Not a silly question at all. I use a Sony A7c with a 17-28mm tamron lens for my talking head bit. And for the broll I use a Sony A7S III with a 24-70 f2.8 sigma lens or a sigma 105 f2.8 macro lens.
I'd like a black dial with the 3,6,9 numerals, white indices, this bracelet/case in stainless and a hand-set without the snowflakes. That would be a very versatile field/dive watch indeed...
Adrian, what do you think are the chances of another BB58 in red coming? I grabbed up a guilt dail version after your review but love the red color Tudor has on their bigger watches
I love the look of the watch but like Adrian pointed out. I like the look of THIS watch. I don’t think that I would like a watch that gets worn out at an increased speed. For a lot of people even at this “entry level” it’s a lot of money. Part of what I love about my watches are I take good care of them so they are all in perfect condition. With this it’s impossible to keep it in perfect condition.you can remove patina but your essentially wiping away metal and it’s not going to look exactly the same. I would assume it won’t look at sharply/finely finished as the years go by

I love my 43mm Black Bay Bronze patina after three months... Don't love that it doesn't manual wind anymore- Going to take it in tomorrow. Luckily it's still under warranty.
How many arrows can they fire at the Black Bay dartboard? Can we see something else now please?
Agreed. If they only put in half the effort they put into the BB and redirect it to the Pelagos, they'd have a much more well rounded offering
@@BB-gl7zt I agree, rather have yet another black bay/BB58- I’d rather see a new Pelagos that is slimmed down to BB58 dimensions. Or a GMT in the BB58 case (still a BB but more appealing that another bog standard one in a “new” case).
@@arghjayem 100%. I also hope they do something along those lines (GMT in BB58 dimensions) for the 10th anniversary of the Black Bay line next year
the green on the gold in real life pics is stunning though, intro just reminded me of that
Great insight, as always but I must counter your relative dislike of bronze due to its unpredictable patternation . . . that's the joy!!
Black bezel ties it back to basics love it
Would really like them to release something other than a Black Bay. They're only missing Uranium or Plutonium cased BB's at this point.
Titanium
@@gilbertler03 The Pelagos is titanium, so I’m guessing there won’t be a BB in titanium soon, although you never know…
Was going to say they have already done titanium.
Nice video, thanks!
Apart from the nice watch, it’s good to see a NATO with a longer upper section, so the buckle doesn’t sit on the side of the wrist.
Not a fan of the bronze case, but supper in love with the new clasp. Hope there will be steel version soon.
One opened here in Vancouver Canada. I had a good look at it. Great looking watch for sure.
Does the motionless second hand look awkward and cheap to you too?
I thought it was just me being petty, but the fact it didn’t have a real movement inside felt really odd. It just felt fake.
Small wrist, so what I’d really like to see is a two tone root beer GMT in a BB58 size
That would look good. Tbh a 58 gmt in steel would suffice for me
Loving what Tudor are doing and continuing to do . Variety is the spice of life ...Affordable and available too!
Soon there'll be more Black Bays than there are "Special Edition" Speedmasters
What strap did you have on the watch you were wearing? Is that a non tudor one?
Yeah it’s our Desert Sand Tubular Nato strap

I know there are many opinions about Bell and Ross... But I think their stabilised bronze cases are absolutely brilliant. If this Tudor had it, I'd buy it in a minute.
Out of interest, what is prompting the sale of your own BB58 Adrian?
I'm not sure he is, I think it was just a way of plugging a new watch strap!
Need the updated clasp on the steel versions now :c
Thanks for the review! I may have missed it or you haven’t mentioned the change on the dial with the introduction of numeral indexes. To be honest I prefer the classic look of the baton indexes.
Is there bronze smell? How was it
If they kept the current BB clasp (with the shield motif and the ceramic pips) and added the on-the-fly adjustment, that would be the perfect clasp.
Where can I buy that burgundy and gold nato strap?
Is the resale value of my BB58 Blue dropping with every new model issued?
I have bronze watches and love them not for looking like golden. I like the patina, but I don't think a bronze bracelet is a good idea. It will paint the wrist green :) My Helberg is with a titanium back and still some green stains on the bronze where my wrist touches the case especially during summer.
A gold 58 would be brilliant. a two tone would also look amazing. I would love a gold sports watch, something exciting, warm and a bit of dazzle. Well done mate.
There is a gold 58
@@ihannula there's a bronze, but not familiar with a gold
This is Goa be a silly question, But if I may ask, what camera do you use? Thanks!
Not a silly question at all. I use a Sony A7c with a 17-28mm tamron lens for my talking head bit. And for the broll I use a Sony A7S III with a 24-70 f2.8 sigma lens or a sigma 105 f2.8 macro lens.
@@BarkandJack oh, Thank you!! Appreciate your reply!
I'd like a black dial with the 3,6,9 numerals, white indices, this bracelet/case in stainless and a hand-set without the snowflakes. That would be a very versatile field/dive watch indeed...
I live in cologne and we have a boutique there. I will tomorrow go there and hopefully purchase one or at least get on the waiting list
Thank you for the video, beautiful watch. Only downside is the two different fonts for the “3”
Hopefully Omega will finally wake up - listen to their customers and bring something new to market
@Nigel Molesworth doesn’t say struggling Nige - says they’ve stopped innovating
I hope for a smaller Pelagos!
Curious will the braclet for this fit the 79250BM ?
You had me at “drinking coffee, taking watches”
Adrian, what do you think are the chances of another BB58 in red coming? I grabbed up a guilt dail version after your review but love the red color Tudor has on their bigger watches
Normally I'd say, I can't see a red one being done as the colour of the year seems to be green. But with tudor anything can happen!
I believe there is a Tudor in Orlando, Florida? At Mall of Millenia?
I love the look of the watch but like Adrian pointed out. I like the look of THIS watch. I don’t think that I would like a watch that gets worn out at an increased speed. For a lot of people even at this “entry level” it’s a lot of money. Part of what I love about my watches are I take good care of them so they are all in perfect condition. With this it’s impossible to keep it in perfect condition.you can remove patina but your essentially wiping away metal and it’s not going to look exactly the same. I would assume it won’t look at sharply/finely finished as the years go by
I love my BB 58 but did you hear the movement in the new BB are failing. Go to Uptick watches . His new one lasted a mouth .
Hey I've a question, have you ever considered producing watch storage for at home. Your travel cases seem to be great, but I'm looking for something to keep my watches safe and displayed at home. Just an idea for one of your future products.
