Thanks so much for watching everyone! I mentioned in the video about releasing the Clone Wars at a later time in bulk. I'm thinking "Star Wars Week" where there's a new Clone Wars video every single day. In the mean time, the videos will be posted as completed on my Patreon. There's already one finished there now if you want to check it out!

he showed like 20 minutes of footage. Holden does not fear the youtube overlords
People often show around 20 minutes of footage for movies. It's tv when they keep it at 10 on youtube.
yeah i think you can now show 20mins of a movie, atleast something over a specific amount of minutes
@@thesenate9455 it would help if they offered more commentary during the reaction too. Makes it more transformative.
@@thesenate9455 Actually some say there's no such rule exists and no studio has ever gave anyone a specific number of minutes to react to.

Fun fact: RDJ improvised the "i am iron man" part. Not necessarily on cam, i think he said it before, but the original script did not had this in it. Its funny to think how this one idea changed the whole MCU (which obviously didnt existed back then but still)
"Write that down, write that down!"

The "American Burger" is a nod to when RDJ escaped his drug habit days - he essentially was coming off drugs and realized he couldn't even enjoy a simple fast food burger.
Or it was just mandated product placement
@@adriancooley1819 crackhead detected
@@adriancooley1819 what the hell?
I heard that it was the opposite. That despite the product placement, RDJ actually hated eating the cheeseburgers. Because it helped him kick his drug habit because he was in his car getting a burger king cheeseburger with a car full of drugs and here he was eating a disgusting fast food cheeseburger. That the idea of eating a disgusting fast food cheeseburger was showing how bad off he was.
I feel like this might be setting an entirely new precedent in the Reactor community - watching a 22 movie arc on your channel for the *2nd* time, with your entire audience totally invested? That's crazy man, well done!

“I’m sure he liked the script”
Jen there was no script 😭😂
I wonder if he ever explained the true gamble that Marvel made in doing Iron Man, literally betting the bank on the movie's success to avoid bankruptcy.
There was a loose one
There's always a script in some shape or form. There's no way to make a proper movie without one, and it will never get approved by the money-holders without.
As crazy as it sounds THERES ALWAYS A SCRIPT. If there wasn’t you’d be able to tell trust me. You also have to get funding (from one of the biggest gambles at the time) they weren’t letting them walk away with all that budget without a script to feed it. Even if it’s not fleshed out, they had some form of a locked script before they started shooting or even casting. Trust me.
@@maymunak.612 You need to impress the backers with a concept and storyboards, not a complete script. Marvel has that covered. They had decades of storylines and visuals.
As a storytelling medium, the talent pool of artists could truly pull out all the stops in splash panels. It comes down to getting the right pitch man to sell the investors on the characters.
"They call themselves the 10 rings" How tf are they still linking shit 13 years later with Shang Chi.
To be fair, the Ten Rings and The Mandarin has been a bit messy with who the real Mandarin is, how large the Ten Rings are etc.
The suit-up sequence in this film is easily the best out of all of them. It really drives home the feeling that it's a badass mechanical suit of armor.

Virtually flawless, eminently rewatchable, and where it all began: RDJ and Tony Stark.
Just amazing.
When Iron Man came out my son was around 3 or 4 and he became his favorite superhero, while mine has always been Spidey so its been really cool to share that universe with my son (he's 15 now). Jen is right, the VFX are really good in this movie.
@501st Brix yeah, they really hold up remarkably well. i imagine that it helps that most of the CGI is of mechanical objects and not humans or animals, much less familiar to our brains and thus harder to notice flaws with
@@TedMan55 the thing is most of the portions utilize "practical" effects..... They literally built a whole replica of the suit. And Robert had a really hard time moving around cuz of the weight alone.
The mix of CGI and props really makes it effective.

Jen: Are you crying?
Holden: No, it's a good moment.
Me: ... in 22 more films. *winks*
As a lifelong comic fan, the best part of the MCU is seeing other people get introduced to these characters I've known for decades. I think when non-comic folks think of superheroes, they usually imagine cheesy low-budget TV shows and cartoons aimed at kids, (and there's certainly a lot of that), but what made Marvel comics so popular in the 1960's with characters like Iron Man was that their rich personalities and more nuanced stories spoke to college students as much as ten-year-olds. While there have been good superhero movies in the past, the MCU just did an amazing job of finding that sweet spot. It was sometimes a rocky ten years waiting for months and months between movies (that sometimes weren't great), but I envy people getting to discover the MCU now, knowing that if they want to get emotionally invested in the characters, they'll at least get rewarded for it with more content. Enjoy, Jen.
Honestly I don't care if it's the mcu, Star Wars or any other type of shows and movies. I'm really starting to enjoy watching you guys react to things. You guys are so awesome together and I really do enjoy this wholesome content
❤️❤️❤️
IMO Tony and Pepper have one of the best love scenes, not just because of their relationship but because their theme is super endearing epically since it's chaos and politics the rest of the time, Pepper pretty much helps Tony have at least one side of life that he can define normal which I find very wholesome in this film. :)
I still love how bare bones the script for this film was and how much they trusted Favrou. He literally would tell Downey Jr and Bridges to just have a conversation in character and they basically improv'd a lot of the film. It's such an interesting way to go about something that was a huge catalyst to a whole universe.
I really enjoy when you watch movies with her. She seems to have legit criticisms but also enjoys the movies. Your friend seems to hate everything so it makes it less fun to watch those videos. Also, I just enjoy watching you two interact.

It has begun!!! (Holden has started this adventure once again)
Jen pointed out the good visual effects, and yes, absolutely. My favorite vfx for iron man suits are in this and iron man 2. They look so realistic because they're so grounded. I guess it continued at least a little grounded in later movies (until infinity war) but idk why in these two first movies it lookd so damn good
