Why would you tow a trailer without the registration for it. I have no words for what I'm thinking, how stupid is it to not pre plan, especially when you can use Google maps and satellite imaging. As a truck driver operating a larger than normal vehicle, I have always planed out the route. You are American.
You had the wrong directions through Vancouver, no way you should have ended up on local side streets. Garmin and Google maps don't always get it right. If (a BIG if) you could have left the trailer behind safely you could have seen Stanley Park, 1001 acres of absolute beauty between Vancouver and North Vancouver. Next time take the ferry to Nanaimo. Victoria proper can be 2 hours from the docks, not RV friendly, obscenely expensive and the home of the newly wed and the nearly dead. Tofino and whale watching is a tourist trap. You're supposed to observe whales, not chase them in a dilapidated 40 year old fishing boat. A few have sunk in the last few years. Good luck.
Some advice for visitors to Vancouver: If you have a trailer, don't even bother trying to drive around Vancouver with it -- if you can avoid it. Seriously. Leave it at the trailer park / campground, and just bring your vehicle. Even then, it's stressful driving in this city. Finding parking is a challenge for a single vehicle, let alone a trailer, and traffic's a nightmare most of the time. That said... from the video you showed, it looks like your navigator had no clue where the nicest and most accessible beaches are in Vancouver -- though you'd have had some challenges finding parking for such a large trailer. This is why you should do some basic research and online scouting with Google Earth, etc ahead of time. Twenty minutes of research would have saved you the 3 hour grand tour of Vancouver side streets while getting further and further from any beach!
Oh my goodness just love the two of you...this is what's real... absolutely positive we are y'alls twins...this makes me realize some of the ad"vent"ures we could find ourselves in as new empty nesters and new rv'ers...we kinda vent like you guys...thanks for being the real-deal...so much fun!
You guys and your adventures! Man...that first RV park was totally sketchy, but at least you survived. I am taking notes on your adventures (and misadventures) so when we start our full time life in a few weeks, we'll know what to expect. 😂
@@LyfeUntethered Yes sir! The RV biz was going crazy well. I was so busy that I had to basically shut it down while we get ready to get on the road. Also, got a new trailer and new truck so I have to get those ready for the road as well. I'll be doing some videos on the solar and all of the other upgrades I have planned.
The Canadian border people never asked me for a registration for the vehicle...It was always "Do you bring more than $10,000 of money or other papers...." and questions whether I bring food. I never had anything else.
Oh no!! 💜💜💜 What a sin, you were so close to all the good stuff in Vancouver 💜 Feel free to send us a message and we can let you know where to go to park so you can enjoy our beautiful home 💜💜🇨🇦🇨🇦💜💜
If you were to do it again, what steps would you do differently to make this part of the trip be delightful? Soooo was it Garmins fault dragging you through downtown? (Stupid me and stupid Garmin dragged be through town of Banff only I didn’t know the route in, as i was coming from a different direction than in the past, i had a Homer (doh!) moment when I recognized where I was in downtown, and all I could say was glad I wasn’t a TT or a 5er as the streets are tight n congested 😵💫.) I wanna try n come across thee border for my first time next month, and like you I’m feeling irrationally fearful, tried to find others to come….so far it’s epic fail…🥺🍻
Crazy adventure we set off to go to a few beaches ! Had zero clue that it would be the complete absence of even a place to stop !!! Scary adventure lols
Different would have booked an extended day stay for the RV somewhere or moved at 6:00 am to take a beach spot not even sure we would have found a space then
Did I hear you specify that there is a way to enter Canada w/o the experimental, bio weapon jab? "wink" I'll have to look into that because I would love to do an Alaska trip with our toy hauler. That ferry was awesome. Great content from you two once again!
I’m not sure but as long as one of you can legally cross the border both directions and the vehicle is registered I would think so. I’d call to confirm tho.
@LyfeUntethered I mean my friend is using my other friend truck and trailer but the Canada boarder not allowing him to across the Canada so they heard to us My question is are we able to get the truck and trailer with full of old house stuff back to Canada Bec the truck and trailer is a originally from Edmonton Alberta Canada

Those who live on Vancouver Island avoid going to Vancouver unless they have to
Thank you for visiting Canada glad you had fun. As a home sick Canadian living abroad thanks. Come back.

I guess we must have looked sketchy!
@@LyfeUntethered I think you don't :)
We could have told you that Vancouver would be a nightmare! We didn't even like driving our Suburban down there. HAHAHA
Oh Jackie I wish I wish haha 😂 that was awful 😞! Note to Trevor send Jackie itinerary anywhere near Washington 😊
While I enjoyed your video, your stress definitely transferred to me while watching. Glad you made it out alive 🙂

Pretty sure! Just check the link in description. Takes you to Canadas rules. Yes! Do Alaska!
Is it possible we can meet our friend to the crossing and we take the truck and trailer.bec the driver not allowed to cross the border.

Omg my parents live in that RV park lol the nicest ppl live in there hahaha
Oh no! The one we had trouble in?
How about the old and use house hold from washington state to bring to canada
I'm not sure what you mean?

@@angelitogonzales9782 I'm sorry friend but I'm not really sure.
Remove your hat when going through customs.
Why registration? That isnt a border crossing document at all
Because government. Logic isn’t their jam. Tho, maybe they wanna make sure stuff isn’t stolen?
I think it falls under the category of their country, their rules.
,because they want to make sure you aren't transporting a trailer"for a friend"
