    This is a basic recipe for something similar to a sponge cake, add whatever toppings your imagination can come up with. In Germany, this cake is usually used for an Obstkuchen.
    If you're adding fruits as a topping to this cake you want to make sure that there's something in between the fruit and cake, like a think layer of melted and hardened chocolate or any type of yogourt, it will keep the fruit from bleeding into the cake and making it soggy. I used a 22cm spring form pan for this recipe, but you're welcome to use a smaller one and cut the cake into two pieces so you have more of a layered effect.
