Hello, my name is Gerardo, I recently bought a scroll saw, I congratulate you on your video, I'm going to watch them all, I've already subscribed, I'm writing to you from Mexico, I send you greetings and many thanks for sharing your experience.
Thank you for your comments, and enjoy your scroll saw. I have shared quite a variety of projects on this channel, and I hope you can find some that you would like to try. Any time I can answer a question on scroll saw use, please feel free to post your question. If you have a question, chances are someone else does as well.
I just looked this up on Amazon where I purchased it from and it is listed as a 10X LED with a 4 inch diameter. I find the size large enough for my use, and most of the time only use the light on a very low setting. I have a few years of experience and in age on you, so look at my as an older brother willing to help out any time I can.
Here is the link to the magnifier I purchased: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WHC5P8F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1@@magyk I had to go all the way back to 2021 to find it! It works great, and I usually only have to turn the brightness up slightly from the "off" position.
I will do that. I received an assortment of blades yesterday, so I will start putting it together soon. I purchased some Niqua blades which I have not used before, and I am looking forward to trying them out.
I received shipments of Super Sharp blades from P.S. Wood and Pegas modified geometry and Niqua blades from Bear Woods Supply. I have some Olson blades already on hand. I plan for a blade test and hope to run it this weekend. It may take a while after that before I can edit and post the results, so keep watching for the video.
A router kicks out a lot of dust too!Quick question. I’m interested in a used Excalibur scroll saw. And I’m thinking that the arms, blade holders * are interchangeable with the Jet, Pegus and Seyco? True or false.
I have a Jet scroll saw and I have replaced the blade holders with Pegas. I love going toolless. As far as the Excalibur goes, I don't know for sure but the Bear Woods Supply site does not show replacement holders for the Excalibur.
Bob, are you cutting MDF or what? Your entire shop looks like a dusty mess. My shop is in the basement and keep it fairly dust free by sweeping up after each job.
I admit it is a dusty mess because I don't sweep up after each job. Thanks for the reminder. Cleanup will be my first priority the next time I am in the shop.
