Excellent video. Very thorough. I've done a zillion installations on many different cars. Subaru seems to be good to work with - especially the outback. Mine is a 2019. I'm installing the ROVE R3 dash cam. Cheers.

Hello Hank first time watching your vid thanks for this! One question I have for you is what did you do about the curtain air bags when running the wire to the rear? I've seen some people say it could potentially mess with the air bag in the case of a collision, did you get the wire behind the air bag? I know you showed the front A frame one but skipped over the B frame and sides so I'm curious before I attempt

How come you didn't show how and where you connected the ACC and Batt wires to in the fuse box?

Does the eyesight work when placing in center ? Do you have tests or videos on this . Great video I’m doing the same on my Subaru 2020 outback. But my placement is by the drive top corner

Never had any issue with eyesight. You place it where I did you will be fine

A major obstacle to overcome during a clean install is running cables to the rear camera and fuse panel. Most know where. But, how'd you do it?

Nice I wish I could have seen what fuses you unpluged and plug into. I have a 2020 Impreza so I would like to hard wire it but not sure what fuses to use??

hello, I have a dash camera already install and every thing working good , but in the rear door I found 2 weather cover that I open but I cant' put it back again there have a plastic clip, I can't figure it out, any help? but the way I have a Subaru Impreza 2020

Fuse panel? How? Which one? Is it constantly hot? Or only ignition hot?

driver side and yes ignition hot

Hi if I may ask, the trim piece you attached the rear camera to. Were you able to take that off easily to put all the excess cable into? Don’t want to rip mine off if it’s not supposed to come off haha

Yea those nylon pry tools I use work great. You don’t need to pull it down all that much to get the rest of the cable back there either

This is so stupid, it’s 2022 and cars don’t have a USB plug behind the rear view mirror for dashcams.
