    Your long hair in 2020 looks very nice after you started finasteride. I wish my hair was like that again like it was before my hair loss started in 2022, and even on treatments I still can’t the hair to regrow like it was like that right now. Lots of missing hair all over the scalp and even the sides of my head.

      It's better to start with Finasteride. Most of the times, Finasteride is enough to stop hair loss, and its easier to get.

    Hey Al I hope you are feeling awesome! Do you think minoxidil and Dermaroller is enough for a guy between Norwood 1 & 2? Because Finasteride side effects is not something I want to risk if I still have thick and dense hair, only receding. And do we loose all gains for minoxidil if we stop using it? Shot G!

    • @algarrido
      @algarrido  29 днів тому +1

      In that case, you'll be able to regrow your receding hairline for some years. But in the long term, it is possible that your hair loss continues to get worse. In which case, you'll need to start finasteride anyway. I'd honestly consult with your doctor. It may be best to only use finasteride as a sole treatment. You can consider yourself lucky if you only need to use one treatment, and finasteride is the easiest to use. Also, about the side effects: if you try it and it turns out you have them, you can just quit and the side effects will go away too. But as I said, consult it with your doctor.

      @@algarrido Doctors are useless Al and you know it haha. They just mentioned the side effects of finasteride. So the choice is mine now really...
      I am thinking of just dermarolling and using minoxidil to grow it for some years and see if I am even prone to androgenetic alopecia then. Because I think I dont even have it in my genes.
      Then if it ends up falling out, I'd take finasteride then.

      It's a great question, it was implied with the treatments and routine I use. First, you need a DHT blocker like Finasteride, because Minoxidil by itself can only slow down hair loss. Second, the derma roller will allow you to gain better results with minoxidil, since it allows the liquid to reach the follicles better.
