Thanks for this video! The wife's 2018 Traverse alternator went out yesterday and I was able to pick up a part, watch your video, and install it in less than 2 hours. After pulling out the old alternator, I lowered the new one in place. But before I put the studs back in, I put the pulley back on as It was impossible to get the pulley in after it went over the studs since there wasn't enough room on the side for the pulley. I just put the pulley in about 3/4 of an inch. Enough so it cleared the side. Then I held the alternator in place and put the studs in. I then tightened the nuts for the studs by hand. Next, I screwed in the pulley the rest of the way. That worked best for me. Your video was amazing and I wouldn't have done this without it. I couldn't get an appointment for over a week and was quoted $1100. I got the 170 amp ACDelco at our local chevy dealership for $409. They were out of stock a lot of places and I didn't want to wait the few days for shipping. So glad I had your video to follow!

I have a 2020 Traverse. I am trying to do the replacement. My problem is my socket wrench is stuck, and i don't know how to get it out. It happened while trying to unscrew the idler pulley bolt.
