- Here is a step-by-step install video for putting a short throw shifter in your stick shift C6 Corvette from 2005-2013. The stock shifter in this car was definitely too sloppy. What a huge improvement! Please Subscribe!

I just bought my z06 Thursday and plan on doing a lot of mods and upgrades along the way. It's great to have you as a guinea pig to watch you work on your car and see the ins and outs of what some of these things entail. I appreciate your vids and you're doing them well, thanks man.

Like Hurst shifter in late models, but I wish they would put accordion rubber boot like 60's cars to look real retro!😎 Cheers!😎 Also, don't forget the Skip Shift defeat harness! Also, polish the shifter linkage cup!😎

Great video! Does the Anti-Venom mod works for 08+ TR6060 equiped C6 Z06? Or is it just for the T56s
The Hurst billet plus short shifter for the C6 is only for the t56 and not the tr6060 according to the Holley website. But the MGW shows its for either trans...idk what the difference would be as to why one is t56 only and the other working on either trans. I have a 2010 with the tr6060 and I'm planning on doing the MGW with a black Hurst knob.
the difference from what I understand is the thread of the shift knob, so your 2010 knob won't mount properly

How much was the Hurst short shift kit?
Does your vibrate under heavy acceleration, mine did after I installed this hurst shifter. No one has been able to tell me what the problem might be.

@@earthstix6407 Well I bought mine about 3 years ago, so they probably have gone up since then, I paid 269 for mine, but if you shop around you could buy a B&M shifter for that much, that's a good shifter to, Hinson is a little higher but probably offers a better application. I was not to impressed with what I bought (Hurst) for some odd reason I had vibration during hard acceleration in my lower gears, not sure if it was how I installed it or what. I'm looking to investigate and probably will go with another brand of shifter. I don't think it's my torque tube cause the OEM shifter did not vibrate before the install.

@@garrettbarnes7826 No I never read or found out what would cause this vibration, the only thing that really scares me because of the cost to repair would be knowing that I have a bad torque tube, but I really need to take it in and have it looked at, it could be just a lose screw somewhere in the shifter. At least I hope that's all it is.

Stock shifter is way better 👍
My stock shifter didn't vibrate like the Hurst shifter does, don't know why it's doing all that vibration during heavy acceleration.

Maybe GM put all that extra play with the stock shifter to mitigate the vibration.
