@gespy yeah, atari site had them 20 percent off with s controller and game. The 400 i had to order off Amazon as they are sold out on atari. I really like their modern vision games as well. Interested in that centipede tease video they did last fall

So what 2600 games would benefit from two button controls? I had a lot of trouble playing Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest. The biggest gripe is how much space is between the 1 and 2 buttons.
Do you have tips on where to buy Atari cartridges. I checked Atari website and there’s very few that you can actually buy. I’m not sure about Amazon. It’s like Atari expects you to buy the new consoles but use your old cartridges from years ago or something.
If using the TV usb port you should use a Y cable and use 2 ports. The tv will probably be USB2 which is rated at maximum 500mA per port. USB3 is rated at 900mA maximum per port
@@gespy It may work with some carts but not others. Those old ROMs in the carts can take 100mA-200mA if there are 3 ROMs inside. It may work with a cart with a single 4k ROM. But yes the Y-cable will solve that issue.
Thanks for your opinion. You are clearly not the target audience for the 7800+. I also find gaming on o.g. hardware on a CTR a fun experience, but I also prefer the convenience of gaming on the existing flatscreen.
Great Video, awaiting my 2600+, 7800+ and 400 mini to arrive as there is some great sales going on. Im interested in usb side loading.
Did you order all three at once? Then the next few days will be a treat. By the way, USB sideloading is only possible with the 400 mini.

Het spelen van de spellen op de orginele hardware heeft ook wel iets.
Those Proline joysticks are much better if you lube the internals with grease. I used some keyboard cap grease. Smoother and no more creaking.

I have to setup the Atari 7800 joypad like a nes controller to play the Bentley game. Lay your thumb somewhat sideways over both buttons to do this
I tried that but I was unable to do that. The problem is that the two buttons are sunken.

Thanks for the tip. When I tried the 7800+ later, it rebooted after a while. Was too much for the TV USB. But I will definitely try a USB Y cable.
