The breakdown of this technical model was incredibly helpful. Thank you. And hope Apti recovers from this. Can't imagine what that's like.

I always forget the name, but I heard those deep deficit deadlifts where you round your back flex slightly at the end of the range being called Jefferson curls. Great video again. Luckily moving the feet with intention hasn't been a problem for me yet. But now I know what to drill to fix it when it happens.

I know ya'll don't recommend power/squat jerking for the most part anyway, but I'd absolutely love a technical analysis of Apti's clean and jerk.

I've always thought the whole argument that sliding allows more time to drive down into the ground was dumb. I've always noticed that lifters with great foot movements like Apti or Gabriel don't move their feet until the finish extending and then finally move their feet once they initiate the pull under. You described my exact thoughts on the the topic. I will defintely be incorperating no foot snatches into my training as I feel I often start pulling my feet up a bit too early.

Is there any way to get your feet to move faster other than just doing it? Like any core work / lower abb stuff?

like said in the video, no foot snatches are great. the act of moving your feet is very simple in itself, so it’s more about improving the other parts of the lift in order to give you the chance to move your feet more effectively

Khateg kugev didn’t have much of a career but I’ve always been enamored by his speed and technique, I’d love a critique of his lifting

question on foot movement: does the Chinese slide accomplish the same thing?

It is harder to master but if you get good apparently it is more efficient and consistent.

I just fix my squat jerk recently by doing similar to his movement. I hope the news wasn't true.
