idk why the show even bothers to ask the question of "they wonder why the disease was not diagnosed sooner" because every case thus far has been "because its rare"
a) this is the most devastating frightening misdiagnosed event by a callous surgeon. b) this is the most outrageous event by a totally incompetent unprofessional "doctor" who should get disqualified .
I was trained in 1970s and the 'orange peel' sign was taught then BUT it's a non-specific manifestation of oedema in the skin and could be caused by lots of things
Ammonia not insulted it’s just annoying, we work hard at what we do and we are hardly recognised for the work we actually do. Casing point being what is going on at the moment... nurses and doctors being praised for the work they do but no mention about us, we come in contact with every patient wether they actually test positive or not but they will all have a standard CXR
@@AmazingAshleigh05 the only reason for this is because nurses spend 12 hours looking after the patient nursing them back to health cleaning them medicating them watching the progress and escalating anything alarming. So yeah I get you are annoyed but for all the work we do, we don’t get recognised enough. This isn’t a game of who doesn’t get recognition. Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare system we do everything
Oh my dear lord you're one of those technicians 🙄 get over it, people aren't going to learn every single job possibility there is AND keep up with when they're retitled. I swear healthcare workers that can say "I'm not a nurse" to someone with cancer is an absolute tool
I wish I had seen the video a year earlier. Las october my mom was diagnosed woth breas cancer, but it took then almkst 3 months to figure it out, and it was the doctor working in the urgency room (we had to go there because my mom was hurting and due to the pandemic the meeting with the doctor would take minimum 4 days) who carried out the tests. For almost 3 months, doctors and nurses told my mother it was mastitis, the treatment wouldn't work (they kept her in that treatment for an entire month and the pinkish region kept growing up), so they told her it was dermatitis, skin irritation. She went to the emergency room twice, the first one was because we had ran out of antibiotics for the "dermatitis" problem, the second one was the one I mentioned before. Had i seen this episode this very day last years my mom would have probably been able to keep her breast. She's fine now, with depression due to the mutilation, but health wise she's doing fine, she's getting radio and antibiotics now.
Over thirty years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer that was not as aggressive as Amanda’s. But when I got the diagnosis I read everything I could find about breast cancer. I realized right away that the hard, dimpled red skin described here was one of the most aggressive breast cancers. So I was very surprised when her doctors used words like “cancer free”. Even with my more common type of breast cancer I was checked twice a year. My oncologist told me that no one ever knows if they are really cancer free.
As a mother u just know when ur baby is not right and the doctors are the worse i hate them tbh i have trust issues with doctors they have misdiagnosed my nephews too many times its horrible 😢
@@LorenaNicodemoactually every surgeon in healthy tissue increase risk of cancer, also the symptoms and appeareance of her breast is so characteristic for inflammatory breast ca
Drink water only and hook up to an IV for IV bags with an orange Gatorade and vitamin B3, B4, B6 and B9 drink Gatorade and all vitamins before you go to sleep because the vitamins will stay in your system longer
Actually I highly, HIGHLY doubt that. It took me one quick Google search to find out that breast reductions specifically may REDUCE a person's risk of getting breast cancer by up to 28%. So not only are you being judgemental towards people who want to change themselves, you're also spouting misinformation. I can't speak for any other cosmetic procedure but in this case you're just blatantly wrong.
Watching this in 2024 and so glad that Amanda is still well and with us. 🙏
'Will not take her insurance' - five words you will not hear in any other industrialised nation on the planet!
Only in SAD.
idk why the show even bothers to ask the question of "they wonder why the disease was not diagnosed sooner" because every case thus far has been "because its rare"
No. I've seen plenty where the answer was: bc health care workers werent being careful. Like Amanda's case. Very clearly, neglicence.

This series should be named "incompetent doctors"

I probably have COVID now and I'm watching this in my room, isolating from the rest of the family xd

Super chaîne. Elle existe en français ?
Amanda is a great woman!😊
Not a nurse that would do the mammogram... Another case of radiographers not being recognised

Yeah I got that a lot whilst in diagnostic imaging !

Just add it to all the sensational, inaccuracies throughout every episode
Once they mentioned Andrea's smile, I knew what it was
Please make all episodes available in the states

Breast cancer whit out what type of cancer and grade of spreding
I follow a utube family who have twins and one of their twins have angleman syndrome and the other one has austim
What's the name of the channel?
What about the elephant in the room? Breast reduction surgery and cancer correlation?
There isn't any correlation. In fact, breast reduction surgery can even decrease the chances of breast cancer, especially over the age of 50.

i think the breast reduction surgery triggered the cancer, this is why you dont do plastic surgeries of any kind and leave your body alone.
Actually I highly, HIGHLY doubt that. It took me one quick Google search to find out that breast reductions specifically may REDUCE a person's risk of getting breast cancer by up to 28%.
